    When you're shaving with a razor and following it up with an After Shave, do you worry about mixing the After Shave sent with your beard oil or beard balm scent?

    • @GregBoswell428

      That’s a great question. I have a couple of different after shave products and I always try to match the lotions and oils up as well as I can. I do have beard oils, balms, and butters with exact matches of after shave lotion from Artius Man.

      @@GregBoswell428 Thanks. This is my first beard, and I have been watching these beard oil reviews, but wondering does it mean that if I also need a balm, does that I should purchase both the oil and balm in that scent? I didn't get this at first, so have a bunch of oils but only one balm in one scent and that's not working now scent match wise. Seems I have to buy both in the scent every time.

    How often do you do this trim?

  • @Tripledigit0922
    @Tripledigit0922 Год назад

    Great, super awesome. Thank you! One thing. I noticed you say 9mm attachment all the way closed is actually 10mm and all the way open is 10.9mm simply because it’s not zero blade and on that lever with buttons that goes up and down shows 1mm, 1.3, 1.6, and 1.9. Therefore this would be the attachment plus 1.9mm when opened all the way. But for simplicity sake, that’s probably easier the way you say it.

  • @KSM100
    @KSM100 Год назад

    if you place the 6mm guard and drop it to make 7mm, you in reality are making it 8mm cause the full drop equal 1.9mm. So 6mm guard plus full drop down of 1.9mm equals 8mm.

  • @DRJVNAVY

  • @TheMagicianBee
    @TheMagicianBee 2 года назад

    Hey. If you use a 3mm guard why does it not cut the hair to…3mm? Yours still seems to stay a longer length.

    • @rustyblade9366
      @rustyblade9366 Год назад

      It's because he trims with the grain as opposed to against the grain. The truth is, this is a very inefficient way to trim your beard because it doesn't actually achieve the desired length. For example: If you trim everything with the grain with a 9 mm guard, the beard will actually be longer, maybe 13-14 mm. I'm not joking, the difference is actually really big. The reason for this is because trimming with the grain only compresses the hair down and flattens it against the skin, making it hard and sometimes impossible for the blades to actually cut any hair. But going against the grain will push everything up and out, cutting everything not only more evenly, but also at the actual length of the guard. So if you want your beard to be 9 mm long, trim against the grain for a proper and even trim. NOTE: In order to avoid mistakes and end up with a much shorter beard than desired, use a longer guard than you think you need.

  • @matthewosterman4970
    @matthewosterman4970 2 года назад

    Nice beard! I have trimmed my beard similarly in the past except that I go against the grain as I feel personally that I get a more uniform look. Now you might have to have a longer garden so you don't trim off more then you planned to since I think it does take off more that way, but again I think I get a more uniform look that way as it trims more of the hairs. Also I have my head shaved and I fade my beard all of the way down to my bald head so I don't have a hard stop which I think looks better.

  • @VenturesofMJ
