Thanks good in Germany, that our Service is 2 years or 30.000 km. Have about 22.000 km on My Seal in about a year and so i had no Service yet. After 15.000 km i lost 1 mm on My Summer Tires. Switching between Summer and Winter Tires is ideal for me to rotate them.
You can rotate tyres at home if you have the time and muscle 😃 For alignment and balancing you will need to go to the tyre shop. I'm not sure you need to go to the dealer for this. I don't know if the alignment process is different for EVs over ICE vehicles. 🤷♂
Yes I am aware we can rotate tyres at home, but for the price, it's not worth my hassle, and I normally like to do wheel balancing together with wheel rotation. The reason why I bring back to the dealer instead of tyre shop is because I am not sure which tyre shop is good with EV tyres. I know lots of tyre shops are good with ICE cars, not so sure about EVs. The NVH on EVs can be quite a different compared to ICE vehicles.
Always appreciate your video about Seal! I got my seal a week ago and got couple of questions. 1. Does blind spot assist makes sound when you try to change lane with indicator on but the car is next to you? I know the yellow triangle on the mirror blinks but doesn't make any warning sound. 2. How do you find lane keeping assistant? It feels like only works well when auto-pilot in on but when its off doesn't do any handle adjustment. My last car was Kia seltos and those two features were very simple and useful but on seal it's bit different i guess.
1) mine doesn't make any warning sound, it only blinks the yellow indicator. 2) It only give a subtle steering wheel virbration for the lane keep assist. Overall, the newer updates have quiet down all these warning because there were a lot of user complain they are too sensitive. You should have tried the 2023 version when I got my Seal. The ADAS is like having panic attack, warnings going off all the time. The second update in Feb/March 2024 after I got my car quiet it down a lot, and perhaps too much for your liking.
@@SkyPerspective I'm going to have to have a bit of a search around to see if any of the local places will do it...our local MyCar is not well regarded and not on the BYD List of MyCar locations...
@ just wondering, here in Thailand my dealer won’t do the 20k service until i hit 19k . I am 18.8k and should hit 19k next week around 20 days after my 1 year anniversary !! This is unusual and not too bad for me but some people don’t do 10k in a year, i wonder what they will do then c??
@Andydwyer99 oh I see. It does make sense they cannot do the 12 months 20000km service too early. Have you asked for a wheel rotation at 10000km point? I wonder if the user manual for Thailand BYD Seal recommends doing wheel rotation at 10,000 km.

That's nice. Thanks for sharing. Do you have to purchase different tires for winter and summer?
@ its suggested. You can also use Special Tires for Summer and Winter. But its normal here that you have 2 Sets

@@g00nther what about the TPMS ?
@@Andydwyer99 Don't think this would be an issue as it's fitted to the rim.
@@g00nther yes, but i mean resetting them so they actually monitor the correct position, i believe it needs some special equipment to do.
@@Andydwyer99 ah, ok. I wasn't aware of that

How many km did you have at 12 months ?
Around 12,000. Why?

@ no, i hear they do it at 20k
@Andydwyer99 oh ok. It seems like the user manual is different in different countries.
hi, is this your first service? mine was 5000km for the first service
No, if you count the 3 months / 5000km service, then this is my second service. This recent one was my 12 months / 20,000km service.
who did your service?
Not sure, one of the technician in BYD Service center.
@@SkyPerspective Our biggest issue, our closest BYD Service Center is not that close...
@vbmdsm oh I see, then maybe get a good tyre shop to help you do the wheel rotation and balancing.
no it's 30,000km
For tyre rotation?
