Artie rules. He used to kill it on The Howard Stern Show when there. He has such a quick, funny sense of humor. He was ale to shoot from the hip with the most funny comments.
Artie is always entertaining. There are so many standup comedians who are way better than him, but still, for some reason, I would prefer listening to Artie over all of them. There is something very unique about the way he talks!
+THEBROWNSTAIN he will eventually. you gotta remember we dont know what all had happened between them. heroin addicts tend to forget stuff and artie maybe has had extremely (im sure he had) fuights with howard in private of course. maybe thats why howard split for this long time.
+todd0000420 I agree completely, but he won't. It just isn't gonna happen. I think Howard has it in his head that even having him on for 2 minutes will make him relapse or something. Any time a caller DARES ask Howard about Artie he yells at them and just gives a standard "I love Artie and wish him the best" answer. It's really unfortunate and harsh on Howard's end, but I'd be surprised if Howard even mentions him on his last show while giving his goodbye speech.
I used to hate on him, but some one below said it, he's a freaken trooper. I know people who hit it like him, they are dead now. Artie, run it your way bud, for better or for worst, you're still here and have done some stuff
What I love about Artie's comedy is the reality of it. Little comments he makes are deeply funny to me. Maybe I'm simple. For example, the deadhead taxi driver, the maid story, or how he couldn't sleep because of the smoke detector light and he covered it with some gum. Stupid shit but hilarious to me because Artie knows it's funny, or knows how to tell the story in a funny way.
OK DUDE, YOU WIN THE PRIZE ! BEST ARTIE INTERVIEW EVER, EVER, EVER, I SUBBED. INTERVIEW ME TONY MICHAEL LEE OF COURSE. DON'T BE AFRAID IT'S ONLY COMEDY.
Joseph Gallagher it was actually the lobby security guard at Siruis that told Artie that he's "One Entertaining Fuck Up" cause the DEA was upstairs waiting for him so they could question him about a Heath Ledger joke he made.
Not only don't I listen to Stern anymore - I'm good on Gwenyth Paltrow interviews thanks - but it's depressing even going back and listening to the show when it was good, just knowing what became of it. I personally liked the Artie years, at least the early ones, the best, though I appreciate the Jackie years more and more - but you can't even really enjoy Howard pounding on various celeb twits when you know he's gonna be lathering their asses in 10 years. And there's really no excuse for it. Howard's rap seems to be that he's matured in psychotherapy and no longer has to hate everybody - well, guess what. Some people NEED to be taken down a notch or 50. He used to perform that vital service; now he's merely another tongue wedged up their rectums. We can go literally ANYWHERE else for the Jen Anniston fluff interview.
That leather jacket Artie bought was actually because Artie was always a wannabe mafia guy, he was obsessed with sopranos and godfather and he's German but always bring up that he's an Italian and everything Italian Lol. And da,m Arties voice sounds so gravely.
people who grow up in a culturally italian american neighborbood and culturally italian american household identify with italian american culture, dumbo
4 years later in not sure if there is a radio show artie hasnt done...retelling the same material. Howard needs Artie as a guest one time b4 he retires. Howards softened to celebs. How bout softening to ex co hosts?
poor artie you think he will ever be on the howard stern show again I mean I don't know whoever this person is I just saw artie and that he not on howard stern
Eastsidebridge I agree … he's funny … no doubt, but I never thought he fit in to the Stern Show flow … I thought Jackie just fit in better with that show!
Really?! I thought he was a perfect fit on the Stern show. Artie was/is the "everyman" (at least in a North-East USA kinda way). He was from Jersey, was once a longshoreman, a cabbie and worked construction with his Dad... was out of shape, ate crap junkfood, didn't care about his appearance and loved to party. He had demons and would share that with the audience. At a time when Stern and Robin were really letting their celebrity status shine through on the show (what choice did they have, they were huge stars) Artie kept the show grounded and relatable to normal people. Plus he was hilarious and just a great foil to Howard and the comedians that were guests on the show. I've never been a fan of his standup, but Artie was quick and funny as hell on the Stern show. Just my opinion though. The Artie years were my favorite years.
***** his stories were all the same … I did coke and heroine got a hooker woke up in vomit!!??? maybe funny the first time, but not the last 750 times!
What do u mean. they are talking about him. and thats what artie was made from. howard made artie who he is and why he became so big and famous. he's not aloud to talk about him? come on
Seems that is all he talk about, and you are right Howard made this man and lives great life because of him and to shit on Howard and ride on his coat tails is just cowardly.
I love hearing Artie's stories -- they're hilarious, and he tells them well -- I just can't believe (more than) half of them.
Whatever he did or said, i'm always entertained listening to him, that makes him great
Artie rules. He used to kill it on The Howard Stern Show when there. He has such a quick, funny sense of humor. He was ale to shoot from the hip with the most funny comments.
Artie!! Very entertaining and likeable guy.
Artie is always entertaining. There are so many standup comedians who are way better than him, but still, for some reason, I would prefer listening to Artie over all of them. There is something very unique about the way he talks!
Old stories but still funny. Artie is an old school dude. The world just needs more old school guys guys.
if howard doesnt do an interview with artie before he retires, he is making a mistake.
I don't see why not
+THEBROWNSTAIN he will eventually. you gotta remember we dont know what all had happened between them. heroin addicts tend to forget stuff and artie maybe has had extremely (im sure he had) fuights with howard in private of course. maybe thats why howard split for this long time.
+Ladiesman217 oh no I completely get that but I'm just a hopeful fan lol

I used to hate on him, but some one below said it, he's a freaken trooper. I know people who hit it like him, they are dead now. Artie, run it your way bud, for better or for worst, you're still here and have done some stuff

To be so funny , so often without repetition surely must bring Artie into consideration for comics mount Rushmore .
Artie is a funny guy, Hang Tough Artie!!
Artie has had probably more celebrity guests then @HowardStern in 2019😂😂😂
It's pretty close... Not including repeated guests 😜
OK DUDE, YOU WIN THE PRIZE !
BEST ARTIE INTERVIEW EVER, EVER, EVER, I SUBBED. INTERVIEW ME TONY MICHAEL LEE OF COURSE. DON'T BE AFRAID IT'S ONLY COMEDY.
His next book should be called 'One Extertaining F+%# Up'

Your'e kinda like that one loud puppy in the litter. The one that cries the loudest.
43Aquaman actually, he’s kind of right.

if Artie took a shot every time he mentions how much money he makes, I don't even think HIS liver would survive
where is the howard stern part?
Artie should go onto some podcasts like joe rogan's podcast and some other comedy podcasts
Mr Grieves he has
4 years later in not sure if there is a radio show artie hasnt done...retelling the same material. Howard needs Artie as a guest one time b4 he retires. Howards softened to celebs. How bout softening to ex co hosts?
Artie is as sharp as ever...pun intended I guess
He sounds like Attenborough

Is Artie ever gonna get over the past?
A while ago when I was watching his stand up I was thinking the same thing, then on here it's like the first thing he mentions
It's an interview. During interviews the past is often discussed.
Yeah, I don't think I give a shit what he talks about.... that laugh is tops. can't not laugh, at Artie laughing
poor artie you think he will ever be on the howard stern show again I mean I don't know whoever this person is I just saw artie and that he not on howard stern
never understood the Artie thing!!?
Ya I use to until he wouldn't stfu about that one aspect of his life
Eastsidebridge I agree … he's funny … no doubt, but I never thought he fit in to the Stern Show flow … I thought Jackie just fit in better with that show!

***** his stories were all the same … I did coke and heroine got a hooker woke up in vomit!!??? maybe funny the first time, but not the last 750 times!
Poor Artie, still bleeding Howard for a career.
$800,000 per year for his podcast, bullshit
Listening to Artie without Howard...is like kissing yr sister. Not exciting, not interesting and not provocative...AT ALL.
can't listen to Artie nowadays. He just makes me feel depressed.
He's so negative man
Still riding off of Howards coat tails? Every show, is about Howard.
What do u mean. they are talking about him. and thats what artie was made from. howard made artie who he is and why he became so big and famous. he's not aloud to talk about him? come on

+Ev Rom do you even listen to his podcast? lol stop saying ignorance
I don't anymore, the only reason people paid any attention to him was because of Howard.
Artie is not funny on his own. 😝
