Pontins - It's better than camping (slightly). Yeah you need a fridge if you're there for more than 2 nights self catering, otherwise why do they bother providing a cooker. I loved Butlins in the 80s, thankfully never had to slum in at Pontins. lol. As long as the kids are happy thats the main thing, bet they have great memories of these seaside holidays.
That window that was condensationed up, it was the dessicant blown, the spacer bar is full of desicant which absorbs moisture. There's obviously been too much moisture and it's caused the desicant to expand and burst the spacer bar. I had a job filling these spacer bars for a while so that's how I know so much about it.
Yes that's where we stayed, was't happy with where they had put us but it was sorted quickly after I complained and we got a better upgrade, enjoyed it 🙂
The haven caravan park at Prestatyn is nice, the first caravan they gave us wasn't great and it was right next the entertanment centre so it was really noisy, I complained and we got moved to a much nicer caravan. 🙂
£148 for 2 days seems a bit steep ! Watched a vlog recently recorded around 4 weeks ago at Pontins Brean Sands which is just up the road from us and the cost was £48 for 2 days and it had a fridge but they did have to pay for electricity. Granted where you are at the time of recording could have hit summer season prices but £100 extra for pretty much identical accommodation seems extraordinary high. Looks like the kids enjoyed it though which is what matters 👍
I stayed there twice before and prefer a travelodge or premier inn or a haven I would pay a bit more for a caravan with decking in this weather I think Rhyl is better area
We went our room was disgusting the windows looked like a peminent fog the windows the hinges were all rusted had to force them open as it was an heat wave at the time then there were the spiders the place was just grubby
Them sofa beds are terrible, it’s like someone has taken all the padding out and you have to balance on the frame! Apart from the windows, the apartment looks clean enough. The entertainment is far better then the entertainment at Haven (in my opinion)
I think a lot of people expect top notice accommodation for bargain budget prices. It’s always the little things that make the big difference, clean the windows, hoover the corners (where to walk meets the ceiling) to get rid of cobwebs. We have also paid over £1000 to stay in Haven caravans that have been a mess.

It's obvious Britannia Hotels are being tight bastards on the places they own like Pontin's by refusing to refurbish the apartment blocks and not applying staff any cleaning essentials that should be a main priority.
I was there with my mom either in 2018 or 2019 and we had a fantastic time I knew all the bluecoats that worked there at the time and we all got on like a house on fire legit good mates but there was one problem electricity we had to pay for the electricity but if your in the premium or the luxury room I believe there called that correct me if I'm wrong they pay for the electricity themselves and it's if you have a bigger family and the room OMG it was absolutely spotless not even a spot of dust it was amazing and tbh I find the beds there and in caravans very comfortable hotel rooms some are very comfortable and some very very uncomfortable

No they didn't buddy, me personally I wouldn't stay again but I think we were lucky with the room it wasn't as bad as I've seen and the kids loved the holiday not so much the room as they didn't care lol plus it's cheap and you get what you pay for I suppose

so you stole the fridge. will get more for that than the little tv. Did you ask them why there was no fridge. for the pans you can get better in a charity shop or may be down at the skip. Really its all down to what you pay. if its cheap you let off the small areas of bad looking things. if you pay full summer holidays prices then you expect more and so not over look any faults. So see it as worse. Pontins are a Poor man's place for a holiday as it is very low quality. its like Rising damp or Steptoe and son.

Usually boil up the kettle a couple of times and rinse out and take washing up liquid and scouring sponge, cloths to clean.

After watching loads of people absolutely slate the rooms I was surprised as I was expecting far worse and the entertainment was top notch
