A young couple (Japanese/American) who live in Japan did a video on Kimono because there were people in the US who complained about non-Japanese wearing kimono/Japanese items. The couple went to the kimono makers - who promptly said "We want people to wear kimono of all types. We don't care who wears them. It keeps our craft alive". So go wear your Haori Jackets.and be happy. The makers of them don't want them moldering in boxes/drawers.
Now, I watch *almost* every video you put out and so I can say with confidence that I would watch a shoe collection video. I imagine if you approached it like a flip book you could get through more shoes in less time. However, absolutely no pressure either way. You must do what feels right for you. Lol.
Frame that beautiful hair comb in a shadowbox and hang it up as the art it is. That way you can enjoy an share its beauty and protect it at the same time.
I agree. But it’s such a pity. I live in Australia and my son could scan and 3D print it for you! There would be places where you are that would do it, I’m sure. It shouldn’t cost more than $30 or $40 US. So sad we aren’t closer to help out.
I would love to see a closet clearout/seasonal switch. This was entertaining to watch! I appreciate you doing that and appreciate your co-worker cameo! ^_^
Always enjoy your vids, Bianca! It is your spontaneous, witty, sometimes-snarky commentary that I enjoy as much as what you show us! Having said that, I would like to see all the things!! Shoes...hats...broaches...bracelets...necklaces...earrings...scarves...should Igor on? Probably not, one gets the gist...
Thanks for posting this! It helped fill the gap in my life now that all the thrift stores are closed. I would love to see a tutorial on how to wear those hair combs :)
When you opened the drawer with the gloves in it, I literally "squeeeed" LOL. I know people expect to see shoes and hats and whatnot with a vintage collector, but many forget that ladies also wore gloves. My mother was very stylish and always wore gloves. I still have most of her gloves, including the light blue ones she wore as an Avon lady. Because of my mom, I have a very warm feeling for gloves.
I like how neatly you have everything stored utilizing every bit of available space. The handbags and jewelry collections were the most amazing. I was elated to see a certain treasure on the shelf. Yes, you must do a shoe video. It is always nice to see others have descended into that madness too, lol. Stay strong and healthy!
Same. This is the second time I’ve watched this. I like to think it’s motivating me to reorganize my closet...yet here I am...watching this video again instead of reorganizing. 🤦♀️😂
I think I'd quite enjoy a shoe video. And as for scanning to 3D print things, once the quarantine has eased up, you should look whether you local libraries and/or universities have 3D printers you can use (often for very cheap!). Another great thing to 3D print if you're legally able to would be those Mervin Wave clips!
Enjoyed everything. But the handbags made me super happy, love love love them! I’m a collector too, 75+ , still looking for a plasti-flex in the wild. Tfs 👍
Thanks Angella! I actually found one in an antique mall recently! It's got a few broken tiles, but is mostly all right, and it's one I already have so after I fix it up it will be going in my Etsy shop ;)
Thank you so much for inspiring me to wear my own jewelry. I put my mother's brooch on my denim shirt. I feel glam. By the way if you need any ideas for videos, how about a tutorial on knocking a pattern off an existing garment? Maybe that vintage 40's dress you got on a haul a few months back?
I solemnly swear that I will watch every second of your shoe collection video. I’m on a limited budget right now so I live vicariously through your closet; I just love seeing the things you find and how you style them!
The small hat with cherries on it is just so cute. I have been collecting & hoarding things for so long I've forgotten what I own. When I rediscover items it's like christmas. I Love all your videos and your happy smile. 🍒
Shoes! Yes please! Break it down into a couple of videos, maybe by season or type of shoe (sandals, evening, etc.) if you want. A girl can never have enough shoes!💖

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, and I love your channel. I also wear vintage, so some of your things, like the jewelry and bags, are similar to mine. When my mom passed, she left me beautiful full slips and peignoirs. Also, lots of costume jewelry, seamed stockings, wrist and opera-length gloves, and mirrored makeup compacts from the '60s. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in my family who appreciates vintage.
Y.E.S! A looooooong shoe tour video PERIOD! Such a beautiful collection that the world must to see in full glory of details... Thanks for all and stay save in the isolation! Greetings from Brazil...
So much fun seeing your collection. I have my grandmothers jewelry and a fur coat and mink stole(?)and one of her dresses. I have no idea what to do with them. I used to have her hats too but gave them away years ago. I love looking at these things. Ah days gone by.
Please do a shoe video. So much fun getting a sneak peek into others closets. I love the jewelry. I'm going to make a bouquet shape with all my brooches. I saw David Tutura make one. Really lovely video. Thanks. For lockdown, make as many videos as you can.
I’d love that shoe video. I need recommendations on vintage reproduction brands. I know you’ve mentioned a few over the course of your videos but it’d be nice to have it all in one :)
Yes a shoe video sounds fun! I would def watch. Miss L fire has great shoes, I have few pairs from them, they are pricey but definitely good quality. I also have some shoes from B.a.i.t love those too !
Yes Ms. Bianca you have to get a pair they have such a variety. They also have annual sales. The pairs I own I bought them on sale, so I didnt feel too guilty about spending lol!
I wonder if I would have ever been organized like you are… but fate gave me (well my husband actually) six boys. I did survive them growing up but never maintained anything like the lovely drawers that are well organized. And now I’m old and don’t have the desire. I enjoy yours though!
Your subscriber count is really moving up! I’d love to see you over 100,00 by this time next year. Your ideas and personality are quite unique! Thanks for the great video.
Co-worker? You mean boss! What a collection, fantastic. I would love to see some super super glam looks with jewels and fake furs. And we’ve got time for the shoe video 😉
I think any cultural item, when worn with respect and appropriately should be worn so it can be appreciated. This whole cultural appropriation thing is so far off the mark...Always it is a matter of respect not costume.
Loved this! I would definitely watch a more detailed closet tour too. Like see all the skirts (and hell yes, the shoes!). I wish you'd shown us more of your 50s glass necklaces too. Kinda my thing ;). I love art deco lavalier and drop necklaces from 20s to 50s. Recently added some beaded ones, and have a few rhinestone ones, but lavalier & drop from coloured glass (costume) is my favourite. Your clutch collection is droolworthy! I thought I had a lot of bags and gloves, but compared to you I have nothing. And to be fair: most of my stuff is vintage inspired (modern vintage/retro) simply because thrift stores aren't the same here as in US/UK and 99% of my true vintage needs to be imported. Very, very costly. But ehm... keep up making these videos. I don't mind living vicariously through you😆. And seeing as we don't live in lockdown - strict rules on where to go, when to wear mask and with how many - even though as a high risk person I need to avoid most places and have to go into quarantine as soon as infections go up in the area - I still go full pinup/ vintage to the petstore, the bakery or the chocolatier at my neighbourhood market😆. They're small places with little foot traffic, but I use them as an excuse to dress up and get yummy goodies for me & my own furbabies. Oh the horror of possibly being without chocolate 🍫 if you already can't go full glam!!😱 Give your furbaby a huge hug - she looks gorgeous 😍! (I have 2 cats myself. Had 3, one past away in July. They get me through isolation!)
Thank you! I do have a full shoe collection video, but its a bit long so grab a snack ha ruclips.net/video/ut3GtAbNSfg/видео.html and also an older one with most of my clutches in more detail as well ruclips.net/video/qP-pS2qSGxk/видео.html
@@TheClosetHistorian I found the shoe one (and so it became 4AM before I went to bed!). Thanks for all the drool on my PJs...🙈. I now have an extra wishlist the size of the 🗼 Eiffeltower... my shoes already didn't fit onto the bottoms of my wardrobes (have a drawer and a giant IKEA box full too), so it no longer matters if they're stacked 3 high, right?🤣 I love B.A.I.T, but when you buy them in The Netherlands they're so so expensive! (And customs only allows 22 dollars max). I recently got over my 2nd hand shoe-mysophobia for relatively new ones, so I think I'm going to check the vintage groups again: I miss way too many styles!!
TheClosetHistorian Bianca I am a pro and have the closet of myth and wonder. Watch the video I am publishing tomorrow.. there is something for you in there I want to send you if you want it. Also I am really not trying to spam your audience, I just don’t know how to send private messages on YT xo~D
I want the long avoided shoe video, please. Really enjoyed the combo of Lego, hair pins and fragile China. Ironic decorating is a big thing with me. What about a series where you take one, sensational piece ( handbag, hat, shoes, jewelry piece, etc) and use it as the focal point to style a whole look around it?
I'm surprised how much things we have in common. I really love your stlyle,I have some of the same pieces exactly. Yes I have some real cute vintage stuff too.but thanks for sharing.oh I have a lot of thifted scarfs also.love them. It can really make an outfit look totally different right.love what your doing ,keep it up.i think I will clean up my closet since we're stuck in.nothing but time.
you could try to make a mold off your comb and make a new one in acrylic. Many videos on making rubber molds, my man tried it with video help and rubber mold componends and it worked quite well.
Loved the video! Super entertaining during quarantine. Once everything opens up again I’m planning on cutting my hair and I absolutely love the way you styled yours in this video. Definitely will have to try somehow to recreate it
Yes, shoes, love shoes, can't wear heels now hips are shot, I used to wear the classic stelletos, your clothes are stored so neatly, when I used to wear the petticoat for the çircular skirts we stored them on the curtain rail, but we had no space and no idea that they were so special.
Loved this! Please do the shoe video ! Lol like you said, we're all stuck inside anyways. You should doing a video showing all of your purses as well. Unless you already have and I somehow missed it🤔🤔🤔 I also can relate to the chocolate lol. In the last two weeks I've gone through an embarrassing amount of two bite brownies 😂😂😂 they're my jam 😎😎😎 Hope you and your family stay well💖
I really like your hair longer like that. Also the more "40's" make up. In comparison to the bright all over eyelid eyeshadow. Not that it matters You do what you like 💪🏻
So many accessories! I am amazed! I am not a accessory person, so this is really different for me. I have one necklace and on ring I wear all the time, and that's it. Bags, shoes, hats, gloves and scarves are just practicalities in my World. I love the idea of it, but I never come to wearing or using anything else than the same few things. I would love to see your shoes, but not a long one. Maybe just show a bunch of shoes at the same time that is from the same era/brand or have something else in common? (With the lockdown many people I follow on RUclips have started to upload more often or livestream more, which means more content for me to watch, but I do not have more time than before, so atm I feel a bit overwhelmed with really long videos. But otherwise, I would love to see your shoes and maybe get some anecdotes on them)
I thought I would be so very happy in your large clutch draw until I saw the top shelve in your closet with those lovely handbags you flew past and I was torn. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing...
I would like to see a video on your shoes, but with a twist. I'd like to see the shoes that have a story to go with them. A really fun time, a goofy time, a time of drama, etc. There is always a story and I'd like to hear them. I have one question about your collections...where do you wear these? I remember you saying that you don't go out much, so do you dress up each day? I had a Grandmother who did that and I am sort of becoming that way too, as I rarely get out anymore, so I just dress up around the house. A couple of weeks ago, the top of our water heater blew off and I called an emergency plumber..I wish I had a photo of his face when I answered the door all dressed up and went down into the basement with boots on to help with the clean up! Like I said...there is always a story! Thanks for the tour and your collections are beautiful.
Thank you Peggy! I am afraid I don't have many stories like that, I try to keep my life as drama free as possible really! I wear my clothes whenever I do go out, and also for my "work" essentially, my blog and here on youtube. I have a wardrobe for the life I want, not the life I have. I wish I lived in a city (ahem, London) but instead I am currently stuck in the suburbs where there is nowhere fun or nice to go...so I don't go out much, in addition to working from home. I hope to live somewhere more vibrant someday where I can pop into museums, or out to dinner with friends, or just down to the cute coffee shop to work for a few hours instead of at home, but I can't have that life yet because I can't afford to move. I wear my things anywhere I go, but right now I just don't get to go anywhere very often.
While you may have done something else in the last four years with that stunning large comb, I’d have it encased in resin. It’ll freeze it in time forever and make a beautiful art piece
I recently saw a short segment on TV re cultural appropriation and the people of Japan specifically. Japanese people were interviewed and all said they are proud of their traditional fashion and don’t mind at all if Westerners (or other cultures) wear it. It is beautiful and they want all people to appreciate and wear it. So go ahead! Wear your items.
I want those American Duchess shoes! Do you have a link that I can use to buy them? I would love to browse American Duchess and give you the credit for directing me to them. Since you actually did, and yes I am rewatching with the ads and I hope more people do that. xo ~D

Yes, shoes, love shoes, can't wear heels now hips are shot, I used to wear the classic stelletos, your clothes are stored so neatly, when I used to wear the petticoat for the çircular skirts we stored them on the curtain rail, but we had no space and no idea that they were so special.
I commit to watching your shoe collection. Thanks!!
Fabulous tour, thank you for sharing. Yes please, would love to see our shoe collection! :)
Thank you Christine!
Definately want to see a shoe collection video! Oh my, i loved this video. Eyecandy 😍
Thank you!
OMG! I LOVED THIS SOOOO MUCH!!!!
Thank you!
Thanks for your videos! Such a nice break
On the shoe video, you could do several videos do a video by color, then by heel height, or by maker. Just a thought.
More collection videos plis!!! 🤎🤎🤎
Loved this! Please do the shoe video ! Lol like you said, we're all stuck inside anyways. You should doing a video showing all of your purses as well. Unless you already have and I somehow missed it🤔🤔🤔 I also can relate to the chocolate lol. In the last two weeks I've gone through an embarrassing amount of two bite brownies 😂😂😂 they're my jam 😎😎😎 Hope you and your family stay well💖
Thank you Hailey!
I really like your hair longer like that. Also the more "40's" make up. In comparison to the bright all over eyelid eyeshadow.
Not that it matters
You do what you like 💪🏻
Yes to the shoe video!
But otherwise, I would love to see your shoes and maybe get some anecdotes on them)
I knew you had a lot of jewllery, but seeing it like this.....holy moly o.O ....so nice
Thank you for releasing some of my boredom you have a lot of beautiful things
Thx for the tour! The way u have everything kept is very pretty!
Thank you Denise!
I promise to watch the whole shoe video!
I thought I would be so very happy in your large clutch draw until I saw the top shelve in your closet with those lovely handbags you flew past and I was torn. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing...
Thank you! All clutches can be seen in more detail in this older video here...ruclips.net/video/qP-pS2qSGxk/видео.html
I now don’t feel so bad because I think I have as much costume jewelry as you do! Lol enjoyed seeing your collection! ❤️
Thank you Amy! I am a magpie for sure!
Sure, if you have time, I would like to see your shoe collection video. Stay safe and healthy!
I love that beautiful thin wooden dresser.
Your hair looks so good😍😍
Thank you! I really need a haircut ;)
Your collection is so impressive xx
Thank you Beverley!
Shoe collection video please? 😊 I promise to watch it all!
Would love the shoe video.... If you want a challenge then film it like the glove video. Love it!
Oh my yes Bianca. Shoes. Who wouldn't watch a shoe video. 👠👡👢💞
I want those American Duchess shoes! Do you have a link that I can use to buy them? I would love to browse American Duchess and give you the credit for directing me to them. Since you actually did, and yes I am rewatching with the ads and I hope more people do that. xo ~D
Thank you! I am not affiliated with AD in anyway, I just rave about them ha!
I love this closet tour!!!
Thank you!
I promise I will watch the hole video😍 shoes!!!!!!!
