Those are all so fun, but also more practical. But, I truly love watching you take your ideas from beginning to end, no matter the costume or outfit
I think my favourite thing about watching the complete line of what you've made this year is seeing how creative clothing can get with vintage shapes, but switching up the fabrics/pieces/etc
I had a brainwave yesterday where I started combining Edwardian/Victorian fashion with the vaporwave aesthetic *and I really didn't need such glorious chaos in my brain*. Ugh, such temptation. TTATT And here you are giving similar energy. I love it.

I didn't start my sewing journey from patterns but from making re-enactment clothes for iron age and early mediaeval times where cuts are very simple and there are no patterns around. So I already kinda pattern draft. I'm also learning how to use patterns atm because that's a skill I want to have but I'm also venturing out drafting more complex patterns than just rectangles and triangles. Would never do that without your channel!

A new wardrobe in the psst year. I'm so enviou! My favorites are the ones made from brocade. I've found this video inspiring and feel motivated to sew a blouse. Haven't watched much this year but when I have, its been a life saver emotionally.
I like the 80's-90's Mugler like look. It is so pretty and creative, I've seen 2 or 3 full shows here on youtube (one was bug themed) and seen recent collections. To be honest, most of the stuff of today's shows are dissapointing compared to the old Mugler collections. So I'm really glad I see here tailoring. Have a happy and lucky new year!
@@TheClosetHistorian yeah, now they use strechy fabrics made out of plastic and most of them are seethrough, which I hate. I think the clothes what they make today doesn't need the precision, what the old ones needed. I need to confess, I have one embossed cherry red leggings (it has an interesting pattern) from the 2020 collection maybe, and I love it, but I still think the old ones are better.

I really enjoyed your round up of sewing this year Bianca! Definitely so much sewing, lol! There's so much beautiful tailoring on those dresses/suits. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do in 2023! In case you want some project suggestions for next year, here's my unsolicited 2 cents - I'd love to see some trouser/pants projects and a tailored wool winter coat. Someone gifted me a thick purple pockadot corduroy that I'm hoping to make a coat out of for my daughter, but I don't know where to begin with it, lol. Maybe you could do something out that flannel type fabric from the houseboat video? If not, I'll stop asking, lol. 😁

I like the 80's-90's Mugler like look. It is so pretty and creative, I've seen 2 or 3 full shows here on youtube (one was bug themed) and seen recent collections. To be honest, most of the stuff of today's shows are dissapointing compared to the old Mugler collections. So I'm really glad I see here tailoring.

@@TheClosetHistorian yeah, now they use strechy fabrics made out of plastic and most of them are seethrough, which I hate.
I think the clothes what they make today doesn't need the precision, what the old ones needed. I need to confess, I have one embossed cherry red leggings (it has an interesting pattern) from the 2020 collection maybe, and I love it, but I still think the old ones are better.
The pieces for this year were spectacular! Neo cyber noir-esque. I'd love to see more pants. My best wishes for 2023!
