You seem so kind, I love listening to you ! I enjoy sewing my own wardrobe too. And I knit myself a beautiful moss green sweater in organic Shetland wool. I'm now making a linen cotton vest with kimono sleeves. It's a gamble, because I don't own anything like it, so I'm not sure I'll like wearing it... but I'm making it from two coupons (a light cotton canvas and a heavy linen) so I don't feel bad about experimenting.
Such lovely makes! Congratulations. I would have loved seeing how each piece fits, but they do look amazing hanging all together. Love your style too, im subscribing :-)
Your vintage style is lovely! Love the fabric choices and the fact that you made an effort to use secondhand materials. The pieces look so cute together on the rack. Also, your voice is just so sweet
Yeah! Another dress wearer! I've been working on making more dresses and plan to continue. My favorite pattern so far is a vintage McCall's 7917 Laura Ashley dress. I've made it 3 times!
Dresses are just so fun and comfortable! I just looked up the Laura Ashley dress and I absolutely love it - I am such a sucker for anything like that ruffle yoke!
@@vintageknittingparty you a so skilled the bias tape looks more professional than interfacing think I will use that idea Also looking forward to your knitting projects interested in updating some of my items. Thank you
Love the first dress! I have a dress in the same fabric, I stretched out the side seams and ruined it tho... 😂 Maybe it will be a top soon. And that knit stop!! woow
Loved this podcast! You have used such beautiful workmanship, you are justifiably proud! My award goes to the Hollyburn skirt, because I've made ao many of them and it's just so flattering.
What a beautiful collection of clothing! I would have loved to see how it all looked on you, since all of the pieces seemed to suit your style so well! I bought a sewing machine last year and only completed one project, so I'm hoping to dive more into sewing this year ❤
Thank you for acknowledging a considerate approach to creating! I’ve taken up sewing to make my op shop finds fit better, to create exactly what I want instead of buying something not quite right, and mending current items I own. I really loved all your items, and stories attached to their meaning 💕
Oh I love that sewing has helped you make the wardrobe of your dreams with minimal waste! Thank you so much for your lovely comment, it’s so nice to have you here 🥰
I have to rewatch this episode when I'm not trying to rip out my sweater so I can see everything in more detail 😊 your dresses are so beautiful 😍 I'm getting an overlocker for Christmas so I'm very excited to try that in the new year 🙂
So happy to find your channel. I also try to keep a sustainable approach to all my buys, which I find myself quite lonely in doing. For years I mostly used thrifted yarns but had to start buying new ones instead. Mostly because I found many of them to be mithproof and had to thriw them away, but also because my lifestyle changed and I no longer had the ability to visit thrift stores as frequently. I am very interested in the sweater you mentioned first, the one with long sleeves. Do you have the pattern for it? I would love to make it myself!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I totally understand that it's not always easy to get yarn thrifting, and the dreaded moths make that even harder. That one is from a 1980s pattern book! I don't have it available to purchase because of copyright laws unfortunately, but I can understand why you love it so much :)
I’ve been learning to sew my own clothes for a year now, and I just found your channel- everything you’ve made is lovely and inspiring! I love all the dresses. You’ve got a new sub :)
Did you make the labels yourself or have them made? I’ve been wanting to do the same thing (with my name, not your brand, don’t worry!) but don’t know how to have them made.
Loved your sewing projects. Nice to hear a Brisbane girl sewest! Looking forward to your next one!
I love everything but my favorite is the lavender dress!
It would be awesome to see you wear your makes.
love all the makes, but especially how you're glowing while talking about it!!
Oh that is so kind of you! Thank you lovely, wishing you a happy end of year :)
You don't have to apologize about your wardrobe! You have beautiful things and you should be proud that you sewed them!

I love the button idea--just using different ones of the same color!
Thank you! I love the way they look together, it feels so special :)

Love the first dress! I have a dress in the same fabric, I stretched out the side seams and ruined it tho... 😂 Maybe it will be a top soon. And that knit stop!! woow
Thank you so much! Oh I hope you can save it ❤️ The linen blends really struggle holding up at the seams sometimes, don’t they? :)
Such a lovely set of makes! Maybe for your pink gingham dress you could hand overcast stitch the facings to help with the fraying. ❤️
Thank you so much! That’s a great idea, I wore the dress again yesterday and I love it so much I’ll try make it last as long as possible 🥰

It’s such a fun idea!! I ordered them from Dutch Label Shop. They turned out great, I would definitely recommend getting some made :)
💕🤩🎉🌟
When showing all you made , you should try them on. Pressing /ironing them would made your video more interesting. You knit great.
