I have been saying here recently, I feel like one of the biggest problems is Infinite had an open world, but lacked the NPCs and storytelling to fill that world and make it interesting.
100% agree with you
That's true. Again, I hope to see the stuff that you mentioned (that should've been in Infinite) can be at the DLC campaign. Now, I know we won't get one soon but think of ALL the potential a DLC campaign would have if they add the cut ideas. I would be HOOKED
An open world with no soul is no match for a linear story with character.
Where the fuck were the White Run guards?
No but seriously having characters like Kig-Yar merchants or recruitable ODST teams and more region variety and set pieces or vehicles was really needed to flush everything out.
This is the problem will almost all open world games. It's unfortunate that it had to blight Halo too.
"What could of been" is basically Halo infinite's motto at this stage.
Why are all of our favorite franchises handled so poorly? D':
@@thehipinmyear a lot of reasons...each boils down to piss poor management.
343 have dropped the ball everytime. Its time for a new company to take charge of it now...Halo 4 had a "ok" but pretty forgettable campaign with a cod rip off of a multiplayer...Halo 5's campaign HAHAHAHA and multiplayer was actually "Alright" ..Halo infinite had a solid campaign but next to no content in the multiplayer...Which for release drove 70% of people away almost instantly.
@@nort6300 people say halo 5 multplayer was a very fun multplayer. it just wasnt halo. Forge tho... it was the best thing 343 made... and still is and will get even better if they bring ai to it... a thing that bungie should've done long ago.
"what could have been" IS the meme that characterizes 343i, Bonnie Ross and the team of simps.
I can't forgive them for what they did to the franchise. MS needs to hire artists and director, put back halo infinite and make the motherfucking game work. It's simply sitting there doing nothing. All the 3D and artistry is already there.
Fucking cross generation games screwed many things....
I would go further and say that’s Halo’s motto since 343 took over. So many good ideas and concepts with poor execution. It hurts to see how close they come to success and fall short somewhere
It’s just depressing to see all the cut weapons, animals, maps, environments, vehicles and more could of been in the game. It’s weird to think if the game wasn’t rushed to release or if Pierre was in charge sooner, the game would of been so much different and complete at launch.
What is also depressing is the fact that Infinite was released in 2021. The prior game, Halo 5 was released in 2015 and yet somehow they managed to make Infinite feel rushed
@@iLikeDMR they made a new engine...
@@Dlicious360pro Slipspace is just an enhanced but buggy Blam engine
taking half a decade working on a garbage engine that still amounts to garbage will eat up development time like that.
the last thing they should have cut was weapons, everything else is more difficul, but make up for it with more weapns, i mean halo 5 had all those variations it was insane. that alone was fun, i felt like halo 5 was still halo
343`s trend of chasing popular multiplayer game elements without having a overall structure for their versions are the reason why their multiplayer does not have long term longevity or being memorable for the long term. I fear the same for the BR eventually coming unless CA has a specific vision for it
@@Lanmind90 I mean it should have been obvious with multi going F2P but 60 for a half campaign along with all the cut fun and interesting stuff makes it even worse in retrospect
We’re not getting a BR why are people still just saying that
@@nickjcirillo we are. It’s what CA is wasting their time on
@@nickjcirillo We literally are lol
@@Lanmind90 Reach was a testing ground for Destiny. Many of Reach's multiplayer mechanics made their way into Destiny and ruined many competitive elements in Halo. Custom games, campaign, firefight and casual multiplayer were still pretty damn good but armor abilities really felt out of place outside of Invasion. It was my least favorite of the Bungie titles.
Armor lock was the most complained about, but sprint was the worst honestly. It completely broke the way the match flows and made running away from gunfights much too easy because of Halo's longer TTK.
Armor lock was really only an issue for me before the title update that made it so any forms of damage can drain armor lock faster.
The campaign really needed more visual variety.
Even the voice recordings were so detached from where you found them and all sounded the same.
I miss traveling to vastly different locations in the campaign, it helped make it feel like an adventure and that I was progressing through something.
I know it probably will not happen but I wish 343 would just continue to also work on the campaign and add in all the concepts for it, the animals, the biomes, the weather, and just add everything they had in the trailers
They already said no new campaign dlc
@@Gameprojordan thank you for putting out something that he obviously already knows going of his wishful thinking.
Yeah like they should've No Man's Sky'd it. Not having campaign DLC is shooting themselves in the foot again. It seems like they're incapable of doing anything
4 player splitscreen, all the cut campaign content, and continuation from the last games is what I wanted in Halo Infinite
The hero shooter class aspect always stood out to me as a prime example of just how little of the Halo IP the people working on it understood it. It's something that never should have made it past a white board or a few very low explorations to see if there was anything you could take from that genera of shooter. (like the pay load)
But the cut content I want is more campaign.
100% Agree. The fact that this was ever on the table speaks volumes
It goes to show how little 343i learns from their mistakes
They only prototyped the payload gamemode, i don't think there's anything else left in the game. It never made it past the concept art.
The Armor Coating system is parallel to Skins in OW, where they are purchased and cannot be edited.
Aren't Reach and 4 types of Hero shooter? Everyone can start with different weapons and abilities? As much as I enjoyed those MP's, it ain't what base Halo MP (Slayer) should be.
The full campaign with multiple biomes to travel to would have been incredible. I love Halo Infinite but it does seem that the open world and the full campaign experience was completely stunted compared to what it could have been.
Halo ce had a more diverse environment than this game
The wildlife and biomes in the campaign is something I would’ve loved to see. What was shown off E3 2018 was absolutely beautiful, and I’m disappointed that infinite launched lacking that.
the thing i was most hyped for was all the stuff they showed in that trailer, so i was extremely disappointed when virtually none of it was in infinite.
Splitscreen campaign is the easy answer. Even if it isn't used by a significant portion of the playerbase, it's in the lifeblood of Halo. People have made such wonderful memories playing co-op through the campaigns, and it feels criminal that they canceled it.
Something to keep in mind is that a number of these concepts probably never worked as intended. It would have been nice to see more wildlife and more varied biomes, but I still really enjoyed the Halo Infinite campaign. I don't know that I would have enjoyed it more in a desert or in the snow.
I think the best option for Halo Infinite going forward is probably something that isn't possible: they need to expand the campaign map to other areas in future updates, as well as allow more things for groups of people to do in the same vein as Destiny. If my friends and I can go on hunts, or up to space for battles and boarding Banished heavy cruisers, and can unlock exclusive cosmetics? That would really turn Halo Infinite into the platform they want it to be. However, I don't see that happening, especially if the plan is to switch to Unreal.
Pretty sure it technically *is* criminal. They promised it, people bought it on the assumption that they would get it, and then it was cancelled without refund. That screams "lawsuit" to me.
Not having split screen campaign has been a huge loss in my for love for Halo Infinite. Grew up playing on the couch with friends and family. Miss those days
Funny you mentioned behemoth it has a hidden area where the vehicles spawn. The doors were suppose to open.
Can you access it?
Darn...all those potentials...I hope all those ideas can be in the DLC campaign. Also, I just want to say, I feel like Cortana should've developed more as a villain, and it's kinda dissapointing she just gone like that
You do know there will be no campaign dlc, right? They fired everyone who worked on it.
@@cx4482 I mean, they can't just stop right there. I feel like Infinite can be expanded upon like a lot. Like how Bungie expanded upon with Destiny 2, updating and expanding the games with DLCs and seasons
@@kylelapointe2289 What
@@kylelapointe2289 again, I don't want them stopping the story right there. Call me weird but I'm still holding out hope for one
@Kyle LaPointe well if that's the case, Halo Infinite is truly dead in the water. So much missed potential.
I would love them to build more as a DLC for the campaign.
That was originally the plan, but, like everything else, 343 lied.
@@bable6314 Microsoft Killed it as Infinite wasn't making enough money to justify the cost.
Rest of the campaign.
But also perhaps at some points we would play as the arbiter or another spartan.
Or a brute and have their stories lead up to every playable characters meeting up.
Perhaps have spartan lock or marines/odsts
It would've been interesting to see other perspectives that play a role in the story.
SO much good in this. I'd just love to have a whole group dedicated to making the campaign better! Halo was fun as a story, not a multiplayer (Although both are great). I would LOVE if they had a whole studio dedicated to the Halo campaign/story where we actually get something just original and genuine!! Starting with co-op, because the best journeys are done together. (Involve the fans please, heck have random people do poles for ideas or something at least, 343i)
Reminds me of all the things cut from past halo games
It’s a shame but always unavoidable
Infinite seems to have the largest cut out of all the halo games.
@@AscensionINC-zi1jz Halo 2 had a lot cut but I think you might be right
Halo 3 was basically Halo 2’s second act IIRC.
@@aced4fun it's understandable for Halo 2 as it has a great, and the longest most ambitious campaign of the series. And as Matthew says, it was basically put into Halo 3, the majority of it wasn't shown to the public either until now. So it was never promised, except for some more Earth stuff.
I feel like the core system is a remnant from the hero shooter concept, where each "core" as they're called now would've corresponded to recon, heavy, etc. with different armour for each class, which would actually make sense as a lightweight character shouldn't have the same customization as a tank
I think you're on to something here
The Coatings are parallel to uneditable Skins in Overwatch and other titles
Robot cores could be fun, but we're gonna need extra voice lines for that.
Superintendent: "Please, do not litter *hear weapon cocking*"
an entire finishing campaign to wrap all of 343s work up would be really great ideas of other biomes and wild life in a huge sandbox would be great. Visiting other planets could make for lots of variety and fun missions and obviously i’d like to see all the characters come together to wrap up their stories like you said. Space missions would be awesome to see again too. I think warzone would be a really fun game mode to bring back and they can hve flood firefights along with normal firefight or maybe even space craft firefights? Maybe and ability style kill streak system can work for an alternative game mode too instead of a hero shooter
This stuff is deeply saddening, I was especially looking forward to seeing the Rhinos. I’m still convinced we could get story content in the future where we travel to other parts of the ring. But I’m hoping they don’t just drop the story set up in Infinite because it truly is great.
I think the idea of having a specialized spartan could have been fun, not neccesary to make it like an Overwatch clone, but would be so awesome to have the cosmetics for spartan armor, and for them to actually work and not be just decorative, I would like to be a tanky specialized spartan similar to Jorge, would be fun
Master Chief's reunions with the arbiter happened in a book!?!
Yeah they ate Arbiters version of BBQ lol
So it couldve been worse? I thought the bar was already pretty low but man.
Sums up my reaction to the cut concepts from Bioshock 2.
Campaign cut content would be so cool. Imagine grappling around a jungle that's like the beginning of the CE mission 343 Guilty Spark. Building UNSC structures and leaning into the rebuilding of the UNSC.
The Didact was not killed off, he was composed into a digital consciousness. He’s returning in an upcoming book
Specifically, "Halo: Epitaph".
Jesus Christ. There's only so 343 can pull the "no wait, they're actually not dead" card before it becomes so tiresome.
@@someopinionateddirt6561 he never was dead. Both times (his falling into slipspace at the end of 4 and him being composed in the comic) were misinterpreted as his death. This was on people exaggerating things, not 343
@@WeaponizedAutism7 I've read the comics too, and there's only so many times you can play the "no wait! Gotcha!" card when bringing back a presumably dead character before it gets tiresome. Like, you can do that once, two tops. Anymore than that, and that's just lazy writing.
@@someopinionateddirt6561 I recommend reading what I said again
so sad. I mean yes first the couch co-op. But I remember how I felt watching the announcement trailer 4 years ago. I almost cried with excitement because it looked SO GOOD!!!
the biomes and the massive open world. Something I wish they didn't cut was that cave writing that could have meant 'Enemy Within' or 'Ghosts from the past' either meaning FLOOD or offensive bias
I’m one of the people who absolutely loved the halo infinite campaign, but I do think it could have used a bit more to fill the open world (like a scarab fight), and of course a bit more with the arbiter would have been awesome. I still loved the campaign though, despite its flaws
Halo would REALLY benefit from having multiple dev studios work on different genres. It would help take a load off of 343, while giving us fans MORE ways to play. They already have Creative Assembly focus on the RTS side. Have a different one work on a horror-focused game (flood themed). Another one on a hero-based shooter. Bring back the cancelled Mega Blocks project and have another dev studio on that. Keep 343 with the main storyline and multiplayer (or maybe Certain Affinity could focus on multiplayer). And make sure to MARKET them properly; make the consumer aware which games are the main ones and which are the spin-offs/side games.
I’m glad they didn’t go the Hero shooter route. Wouldn’t feel like halo.
Honestly the idea of having an all out battle against Cortana with forerunner tech is really interesting and I’m still salty bc the ending of halo 5 made it seem like we were going to see that
What a shame fr
You mean we could have had a campaign that didn't need 20+ 'tie-ins' and additional expanded universe material to link it back to the previous installment in the main series, instead of requiring near-'Kingdom Hearts'-levels of backstory just to understand who and what this character is even doing here?
Dude the chief riding one of those rinos and plowing through enemies could have been so cool
I’m curious if you watched my “What Halo Infinite Could Have Been” video, because you bring up a couple’s of subjects here that I did a few months ago. Great work as always, and thank you! 😊
I didn’t but I’ll go check it out 🙂
Cut content is unavoidable with any title, but the cut legacy features are the ones that I miss the most. I know you can't include every detail from every past game in a series, but if launch had arrived with split screen, more old game types, customisation options and better environment variation, that would have given the game a better foundation.
That way at least now the majority focus of community requests would be on content to expand the series, rather than to restore it.
It really stinks that 343 doesnt plan on releasing story DLC for Infinite in the near future, it really does have the potential to be amazing especially with Offensive Bias and Atriox, and also the Flood. Cant believe none of them were actually in the game excluding Atriox from a couple of cutscenes. If they ever do make campaign DLC is MUST have a scarab fight or even multiple and an Atriox boss fight. No killing them off in books or off scene bullshit
Maybe they have think about it, but MS just screwed up the whole campaign team
Plus all the potential story content that was told as holograms only. The Created War is already over. Sigh.
@@elliotjohnson9415 343 is like “ ok the community hates the story and characters, how about we restart a new story line?”
This makes a incoherent story, which I personally think is worse than Cortana being the main villain
The full campaign is what I would want. This game is a massive definition of development hell.
i wanted to see what arbiter was up to :(
For me, it will always be a cohesive and continuation of the H5 campaign.
That story was a good one told poorly, and infinite could have shifted the gears to tell a better story, and bring a much better end to Cortana’s rule.
It could have also opened up a Spartan ops type DLC addition, where OUR Spartan, and others, go around to different planets and defeat the created and their guardian, with the help of a united species front.
This allowing us to ‘canonically’ play as Elites and Brutes.
I always thought that we should have an uneasy alliance with the banished to fight the created, after the brutes homeworld is destroyed by them
Here's hoping for a campaign DLC with new biomes, enemies, vehicles, and NPCs. Imagine drivable scarabs and phantoms in Infinite's open world - I would be screaming.
@@DeftTouch I'm a hopeful veteran :) you can never let the naiveté and optimism dry up
@@DeftTouch Eh a campaign DLC is still a possibility but with the diminished playerbase it's perhaps not too likely. I still like to be hopeful about the future of Infinite because there is definitely something worth saving here. The multiplayer is actually quite good despite the butchered release. It's important to dream for something better rather than dwell on the criticisms that we all already know
@@DeftTouch I grew up as a Bungie kid and loathed 343 since Halo 4. But after a decade of seething, I'm trying to be positive and just play these games for what they're worth. Every Halo game has something unique and special to appreciate about it. Halo indeed deserves better than 343 and we should hold them accountable. We're totally agreeing here. But I'm trying to be hopeful and dream about how Halo can be improved, and Infinite still does have enormous potential. Calling them abusive might be a bit of an exaggeration but they definitely did do a pretty crappy job for the last 10 years. Especially with the campaigns imo, the multiplayers are pretty okay.
That slide quick scope at 4:22 was absolutely filthy
No doubt, having more content in the campaign would've been nice as there could've been so much to explore and find in the different biomes that they had planned out.
Somehow 343 ran out of time…during the six years between H5 and Infinite. 343 dropping the ball again.
More like 5 years of twittling their thumbs then going "Oh crap we need to make a game" in the last year, then delaying it.
@@IRLJojo And then spending most of that year twiddling their thumbs.
I'd actually be totally open to a Halo hero style shooter so long as it's not a mainline game. Make it an offshoot, and instead of heroes, you build your own spartan from the ground up and the different pieces of armor have effects on your playstyle & abilities. Could actually be a lot of fun.
This is a cool idea. A game where your spartan's armor actually does what the description says lol. I understand why it's not like that in a mainline Halo - arena shooters are supposed to be symmetrical - but I really think that it's a good idea for a spin-off
When I hear you talk about this I think about what the campaign truly could have been instead of grass with brutes everywhere. We could've had hostile wildlife that would attack, different biomes, and maybe even the buggers in the sand.
*Reads video title*
Me:“Idk if I want to hear about the campaign’s potential and cool ideas.”
*watches video anyways*
Me: 😢💔
I want the rest of the cut campaign content. But with some Arbiter in there as well
Gameplay/level design wise, I think Infinite going open world was it's biggest mistake and tbh I think should have taken a more linear/semi-open world approach. Levels would still be linear but much more open and expansive; they would have more routes to take, secret locations with bonuses, bases/vehicle call in points, wild-life, etc. The levels would take place on different areas of zeta halo and when you complete the campaign, you could backtrack or fast travel to certain areas.
Story wise, they should have just rapped up the reclaimer saga and gave it a satisfying ending. What I think would have been cool is if before the UNSC arrived at Zeta Halo, the Banished where in a conflict with other Covenant Remnants (yes there are multiple) over control of the ring, the UNSC forces are thrown into the fight when they show up, and things get even worse when Cortana shows up with the Guardians. At that point it is just a total war between all the factions. The fighting would end with cortana sacrificing herself after the covenant Remnants destroyed, the Banished victorious, the Infinity crashes on the ring, still intact, but heavily damaged the crew scattered across the ring, the UNSC suffers a defeat forcing a few remain ships of the Infinity's support fleet into a retreat. This is probably where part 1 (the main campaign would end). Part 2 would most likely follow that surving UNSC fleet re-establishing contact with forces on the ring and attempting to call for reinforcements. All while the banished are exploring the ring, unlocking it's secrets. I'm not a writer, but these are just some of my ideas that would make for a pretty intresting story.
To be honest the game felt cut down to size key characters missing, a abrupt ending, most of the exposition being in audio logs, almost like it was meant for cutscenes.
Right? You could pretty much see the scenes from just hearing the audio logs, as if they had the scene made and just ripped it out. Especially the stuff with Lasky.
How ironic that a game called Halo "Infinite" feels more like Halo "Limited"...
What Halo could have been is the sadest and most exiting question any Halo fan has to ask themselve!
I actually like the idea of a payload game mode. Most of what we see are iterations of the same game mode these days would be refreshing if it works well. Obviously, you couldn't do this on most maps tho.
The Payload gametype is something that I've been wanting in a Halo fps FOR YEARS. I love the idea of players attacking/defending an Elephant/Mammoth objective!
I think the hero shooter idea should've been used for a coop mode or a warzone mode.
WOAH WOAH WOAH, Robot Core!? Thats EFFING COOOOL!
I love Overwatch it's my main game but I want Halo to be a good Halo game. There's so much that could change to make infinite better. Like adding the unfinished vehicles/varrients, split screen, modding, etc.
Not sure if it was cut or not, but just the flood horror aspect in general. Now after the vid, I’m just imagining infected rhinos and birds attacking chief and the marines and literally everything else alive
Biggest thing I am missing is the cut campaign content. I am really hopeful that once the Halo Infinite mod tools are released (and I hope they are released sooner rather than later), someone will mod more wildlife into the game. Seems like an easier mod to implement based off of what mods we've seen in the MCC
2:50 - Why does Cortana look so JACKED
@Mint Blitz, have you played either of the halo wars games? If you have, do you think that it would have been a great Idea to have the Spirit of Fire enter the story at some point? Infinite being an open world game could have benefited from having the Spirit of Fire building at the FOBs, It would also make more sense about how the UNSC would have so many resources.
I was so hopeful that there would be campaign DLC/expansion. Not only did 343 brand this as a long life cycle game with updates (didn't think it was going to MP updates only), but the "end game" feels like a cliffhanger waiting for more.
So much possibility, such poor execution.
Would love to see a Halo Infinite Directors Cut, a small update to the existing campaign to make it more immersive, more interesting, add more weather effects and wildlife.
That said, I guess the term "Directors Cut" isn't the best phrasing for Infinite all things considered.
I wish social lobbies still existed so you could interact with your team/opponents after each game in the waiting phase
This was one of the best features in any game from 2007-2010. Stupid that it's no longer industry standard.
I know that I'm going against the grain here, but personally I'm happy with how we have Halo again, it feels completely different from how halo 4 until 5 felt. this, it feels natural something similar like how Bungie would make it. Yes I'm upset that their's no Split Screen Co-op right now. For me I am patient that we will get some more content for Campaign and Forge, Co-op or multiplayer. I am happy that we have something that feels like Halo again. Yes I am disappointed that many different concepts were dropped but I feel like the changes was because Joe Staton came back in. And I am happy that we have something that is enjoyable if this makes sense. It is okay to be disappointed about things but we have something that we can feel like that is ours again.
As someone who's played a LOT of Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch, Launch Site is way too small for a payload map. You need BTB scale maps otherwise the cart doesn't have to be pushed very far.
That said, it could be the first (or last) part of such a map.
campaign cut content for sure, and a space battle would be sweet
makes me almost miss halo 5's story and art style. at least something was happening in halo 5. and damn did those cut-scenes look good (don’t get me wrong, i prefer what they did with Infinite’s art style. but H5’s style was still pretty sick)
I wish they could finish the campaign, this kind of feels like if ended CE after the 5th mission and did not have time to introduce the flood (or endless in this case).
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a hero shooter mode.
I'm thinking Chief, Arbiter, Rookie, Johnson and Vadum could be DPS, Tartarus, Atriox, a Hunter, one of those Forerunner knight things would be tanks, and engineers, odst medics and grunts, could be support.
Would be interesting hearing Arbiter talk to Atriox about the Covenant, or Chief scaring a grunt while both are reluctantly on the same side.
i would want to have more campaign content
Hopefully this stuff arrives sooner or later, great content and concepts
A co-op campaign split screen would've been fun. 😢
343i/Microsoft needs to hire some other devs to work on campaign and multiplayer stuff, like 343i can work on the core stuff like story/pvp balancing and what not, then have to other dev team/s to work on maps and armour.
People underestimate how much it takes to make things in games these days, so having another team to help 343i out would be a blessing.
Is wasn’t Just that we wanted the features you Listed at 0:35 it’s the fact that they were shown in the reveal and then never seen again. We expected so have these things but never did. Absolutely insane.
Damn the quality drop from that first trailer to launch.
I wish I could see the rest of the campaign, particularly the cut content. There’s multiple islands next to the one where “The Road” is played out, and yet islands around it remain unexplorable and empty unless you use the invincibility glitch and a flyable pelican only in the Season 1 builds
I love how 343 always gives us what we want in a book or cartoon but not in their actual games wtf 343 get it together
I miss Firefight, Playable Elites, Flood, Drones, Invasion, Spartan Laser, Land Mine, Bubble Sheild. I hope these all get added in Campaign and Multiplayer.
LOL at the Richat Structure on Zeta Halo. xD 2:57
I think the best idea would be 20$ Campaign DLC, people would definitely come back and if theres enough ppl they can also try the updated multiplayer and also revive it
2 birds 1 stone
tbh i would really have loved to get more campaign content. One thing that i would still love to see are playable brutes, but that is just a pipe dream.
Actul different Bioms with more Fauna&Flora would have greatly elevated the SP experience
The rhinos, but that robot core is sick we better get that
There is one thing that I wish Halo Infinite could have done and that was fixing Cortana. Turning her into a villain after her 'death' in Halo 4 was a massive mistake. The best way to make the fans of Cortana happy was to reveal that she did indeed die at the end of Halo 4 and that the one we saw in Halo 5 was one of the copied versions she made of herself during the final fight with the Didact. That way those who liked seeing an evil Cortana can still have their version.
But I wouldn't stop there. I would have kept Cortana as a villain in this game and using the 'echo moments' that Chief and the Weapon experience throughout the game as a way to reveal her true origins and helping Chief finally come to terms that Cortana did die in Halo 4 and that the version he has been seeing is not the original. The Weapon has a fight with evil Cortana, Atriox is about to use the Halo ring to wipe out the enemies of the Banish, Cortana realizes her mistakes and makes the ultimate sacrifice to stop Atriox and save the universe.
i honestly believe, with my full heart, that if 343 had (and I know they never would have done this for multiple reasons) just not made multiplayer, and put EVERYTHING into campaign, and just made the MP later after launch, Halo Infinite, and the franchise as a whole, would be in a much better place than it is today.
I think the hero shooter concept would’ve been awesome, if it was a new mode kindof like how Warzone was for halo 5
Ya, campain biomes, wildlife, and other cut content could make halo infinite the best game of all time. A shame
To me, the thing I’m most upset about getting cut was the Halo Wars 2 DLC regarding The Created. That was a HUGE plot point to just sweep under the rug and end abruptly, and even if they wanted to do away with that storyline, HW2 would have been the avenue to close it off. I mean, Creative Assembly was handling it, so I don’t understand why they cut it except to pinch pennies. It just feels like a massive hole in the Halo lore that could have been closed more graciously.
the overwatch direction kinda tells us they just want to keep chasing trends, like call of duty with halo 4/ movement in halo 5 and GTA 5 with open world in Halo Infinite. It is SUCH A SHAME. You can not be the best if you are always behind someone else. Halo was best on its' own, being uniquely halo and a full game.
There could be quite the documentary on the development of this game. Crazy
If only they’d add campaign dlc with the other ideas!
The waterfall looks sick!
i’m sick of thinking about it, i just wanna enjoy the game
A linear missions structure should come back. If they really want to push the "open world" idea they should go for the Metro Exodus style where it's a series of open levels you can explore, but it still follows a linear path.
I wonder, if everything had been satisfactorily fleshed out, how much longer it would have taken.
I would have gladly waited another year to receive an awesome finished product
I'd like the old story back, from the sounds of it, it was going to be pretty damn epic
The one thing cut from Halo Infinite that I wish could be there… is Halo. 🙃
ahem.. the full campaign good sir. nothing else matters to me
