forgot to mention, if you have a singular element on your weapon it will combine with it but also providing it's own forced elemental proc, which isn't ideal that's why it's best to do dual elemental combination for the best results.
Correction: Also not a proper separate instance, but every instance of damage has a guaranteed force proc, high pellet count weapons will all force proc their own element.

The really nice part of this augment is that his imbuement actually works on archguns, making above and beyond the best heavy weapon frame now

This is my main. He's always been good. There's a small learning curve. But he's a beast.
I agree, people really underestimate lavos, he is bassically my strongest frame for most of the content with the exception of special stuff that is better with very specific builds.
Gotta love Lavos when using the Rakta dark dagger along this build

And what's cool is you don't have to replace his 4 with Nourish, either. He works really nicely with all of his kit. You can do Nourish, you could also do Sickening Pulse, or you can leave him as is. The choice is yours.
Cedo with a viral + HM build does basically what was showcased in the video, so there's always that option for the ranged weapon platform version of Lavos. Also, with Cedo, using Primary Blight and imbuing Toxin is amazing. You can build 40 stacks of Blight within seconds, then you imbue whatever the enemy is weak to, and Cedo will rip and tear through everything.
A couple of weapons I'm interested in trying with him, just for fun: Bubonico, Torrid, Ignis Wraith, Trumna, and Alternox.
A great video, though. I'm a Lavos main, and the new augment is a paradigm shift to how tou build him. I'm thinking about shifting my build from a hybrid ability/weapon platform frame, to purely weapon platform.
I've been wanting to get into Lavos, but preferably an ability build, given that it's his abilities being on cooldown that makes him unique. Do you have a SP ability, or hybrid, Lavos build? I'd be super grateful if you'd share it!
@shadozealot3644 First thing you wanna do is invert tap/hold his abilities in the options. Anytime you're on Reddit or something, and the topic is "bad frames" or "frames that need a rework", you'll see Lavos getting brought up because "he feels too clunky." I guarantee half of the people saying it wouldn't say it if they did this. It's much quicker to tap-to-imbue than it is hold the button.

- Molt Augmented
- 2x Emerald Archon Shard (corrosive stacks)
- 3x Crimson Archon Shard (ability strength)
Blind Rage is what I've swapped for Valence Formation in my current build. So he's still a semi-caster, just his Catalyse doesn't do as much damage. I'd say he's doing more damage overall because of the augment, though.
The Emerald Archon Shards are really nice because they allow for a corrosive-imbued Vial Rush to 100% armour strip.
You can swap Precision Intensify for Archon Intensify, but considering his abilities are mainly utility other than his 4, I think Precision Intensify is great.
You can also swap Growing Power and Steel Fiber for Mecha mods, but I'm really not a fan of the inconsistencies with using a Kubrow. Diriga or a Hound can spread statuses nearly as well as Mecha these days, so I would leave it as is. Growing Power essentually gives you free ability strength, just for doing what you're going to do anyway; putting statuses on enemies with Cedo.
Speaking of Cedo, this is the build for that:

You'll notice I don't have Galvanised Savvy on it. It used to be that it was multiplicative, but DE "fixed it" so that it's additive. IMO, it's not nearly as needed as it once was. You can switch Shotgun Barrage for it if you really want, but Cedo desperately needs the fire rate after adding Critical Deceleration. You could also swap the Primed faction mod for it, but that *is* multiplicative, so it's adding the +55% to your Cedo's overall damage. Much better, IMO.

I look forward to trying it out! And inverting tap/hold, although for Lavos I'd probably never thought of it, is a great idea. Especially with corrosive infusion being 2 infusions.
And from my limited experience with the Cedo, I definitely agree that it's better off with the fire rate. I was wondering with the Cedo alternate fire, are the statuses applied affected by mods? Specifically, does heat inherit work, putting all the heat mods on Cedo, alt-firing, then casting Lavos' 4? Or would that only affect heat procs applied by primary fire?
@shadozealot3644 the way the Cedo glaive works is it'll deal Blast, and modded elements, as well as one of the four base elements at random. Adding Status Chance mods won't really shift the needle for its primary fire because its status chance is so low, but as far as I know, it effects the glaive's Status Chance, which has 100% at base, iirc.
@@CakeorDeath1989 okay, thanks. So, if I wanted my main damage to be Lavos' 4, would I mod for pure heat, for heat inherit, prime with Cedo alt fire, then use (an infused) 4? Or is that really not necessary, & viral HM is just better overall?
I love lavos now. Also for some reason now i’m going down a rabbit hole making a amprex lavos build. So far actually pretty good ngl
Try vermisplacer
If using this for primaries, use pellet based weapons. Each individual pellet will have the guaranteed proc, making them really good with DoT elements like heat, toxin, or electricity. Especially effective on Phantasma, Kohm, and Boar.

Ahh Lavos. The frame i only ever used for Railjack and after that forgot about.
If you dont know, Railjack uses ur Warframes energy to use its own Abilities.
But since all of his abilities are cooldown based, so too are Railjacks.
So it was just seeker missile spam

Hey just a question, when you say faction mods double dip damage over time, does it mean that the initial hit does 1.55x damage and then the dot does 1.55x damage resulting in 2.4x the damage? Or is it the initial hit that does 1.55x more damage and the DoT for some reason does 2.4x the damage ?
The first one is the correct one.
Aye, it boosts the initial hit, which makes the dot stronger, and then it boosts the dot as well IIRC. Hence why double dipping on the dot. Btw the same can also be achieved by Roar (which serves as a universal faction dmg buff for your wpns and abilities both) and to lesser degree by MR30 station dmg blessing.

The second is correct.
The damage formula for regular damage (ignoring multishot) is [Base Damage] * [1 + Pure Damage Mods (like serration)] * [Crit Damage Multiplier (combination of crit chance and crit damage)] * [1 + Faction Damage Mods] * [1 + Elemental Mods]. This will be your damage on the initial hit for a DoT weapon.
The damage calculation for DoT effects in warframe takes something that's referred to as Modded Base Damage (basically the first four things in the regular damage equation: base damage, pure damage mods, crit, and faction damage mods) and multiplies it by the Faction mods AGAIN.
So the overall DoT equation would be [Status Proc Multiplier (which is 0.35 for slash and 0.5 for every other DoT proc)] * [Modded Base Damage] * [1 + Faction Damage Mods] * [1 + Toxin/Heat/Electric Damage Mods (only applies for each DoT status effect respectively)]

Since they're changing status effects soon i really hope they use this idea for magnetic. I hope they make it to where magnetize does one or both of these. Either make it to where magnetized enemiesbecome pulled to each other in a 10m radius and or make it to where that happens and they take damage from the strong pull of the magnetic force. The more enemies magnetized together the stronger the force of the pull and damage

Can you make an update for the nourish and eclipse nerf? Like, is eclipse still working exactly the same but does *5x less* damage now or have they changed anything to compensate for the ridiculously low 30% on helminth?
Its the same as roar now in percentage numbers, but if it works like before the nerf, then its 100% dead and really stupid to literally *kill* an helminth ability, just cause it was used often...

Because if you embed two Emerald Shards, you can 100% armour strip with a corrosive-imbued Vial Rush. And it's also the lowest of Lavos' cooldowns, so it's the best ability to use for imbuing elements onto his weapons with.
I haven't dusted my l'avis in a while, valence formation makes him a great weapon platform. Especially with his signature Cedo

Switch his fourth for Nourish
Cast corrosive valence and every bullet of Cedo is an instance of corrosive with a forced proc, equip 2 green shard, every shot 100% armor strips, keep Cedo with a dual ele, and fire (abusing of Arch Vit) and your laughing till the cows come home

At what point do ya'll hold off on investing in non-prime frames? In my 10+ years playing this game on and off it has taught me patience is a virtue. I wasn't playing when Lavos came out and got him Gauss, Protea and Xaku in winter of last year. I put like 5 Forma in Xaku in November bc I really like his play style and with Protea being the next prime I guess we won't see his prime until fall bc I heard they will do him next. With it being April I'm wondering if I should invest in Lavos though... I heard he's up this year too so if I do it now I could enjoy him for a few months before the prime. I have a zero forma build that does fine but I really want to unlock his full potential.
I play new frames i enjoy and max forma em up.
For Protea whos next i personally wouldnt forma base one. But lavos being potentially after protea i would forma him and enjoy warframe as i feel like atm xD

@@hidden0horror Yeah, you could do that. Not sure he is the best frame tho for Ocucor, would love to see a dps comparison of Lavos vs Saryn vs Rhino. Personally I go Rhino for this, since he is tanky af, and can have Nourish and Roar on at the same time (no other frame besides Grendel can do that). And Roar serves as universal faction dmg buff. That with 2 green shards makes for some disgustingly OP Ocucor action.

Yo knightmare, I have a nuke concept with mag and blood altar I want to share, using Felarx and hitting 70 million to all enemies in an area.
Why the felarx?? Mag blood altar has been around a while
@@ThrushiD the bubble retains all the bullets from as many magazine dumps as you can fit with duration of the bubble, then uncast altar, but keep the bubble up. You then recast bubble and it disperses all the +2000% bullet dmg pellets you unloaded into it and nukes the map

you dont really need to cast too much thigns if you use him liek a weapon platform liek that, like, you dont need swift bite there, you just want the corrosive infusion adn cast the 3rd skill when available for the status inmunity, if you wanna be a infinite caster, you dont use the valence fusion mod, if you want to be a weapon platform i dont think you really need swift bite, specially if you using the argonak+ dagger with melee influence to turn everything into a 7-eleven saryn (not judging, i respect a good simp (?)
PD: why wyrm on the gun build if lavos is already inmmune to status with any synth mod?

@@Theran_1 in KMF's weapon build, his Wyrm doesn't have synth mods cause he's min maxing his DPS for weapons with t's bond, more towards crit stuff. I think if you use synth mod for Wyrm, you'll lose out that crit and fire rate. If you want to have both synth and bond mods ,I'm guessing your wyrm will most prob die too much or lack too much utility? Cause personally I just love QoL from enemy radar and vacuum from my companions, so I'm unable to fit both synth+bond+QoL+companion survivabilty mods.
How about Dual Toxo with Corrosive, and the Xata infused and Viral from augment I think if that works that can be one of the most OP weapons

I did this and successfully did a solo void cascade level cap with Lavos. He’s my new main, replacing Garuda.
I did the math..
Arcane blessing, arcane guardian, eclipse helminth over 4 (for damage reduction)
Aerodynamics, aviator
Adaptation, Health Conversion, Boreal’s anguish, valence formation, Umbral Vitality, Umbral Fiber, Narrow Minded, Boreal’s Hatred
I use torid, dual toxocysts, and ceramic dagger for mobility.
For any content under level ~4K you’re immortal AND do big damage with his augment + eclipse (as the DR isn’t necessary).
You can swap both boreal mods for Umbral intensify and primed continuity for lower level content.
