- Men who eat meat should be banned from having sex, the animal rights group Peta has demanded, claiming that it is a symptom of “toxic masculinity” which is killing the planet.
Peta’s German operation cited research from the scientific journal PLOS One which showed that men caused 41 per cent more greenhouse gas emissions than women largely because they consumed more meat.
TalkTV host James Whale clashed with a member of the protest group animal rebellion before kicking him out of the studio.

Although I agree with a lot of what James says, he really needs to change the way he conducts his manner live on air. Off air I’d speak to these activists like he did but on air needs to be more professional.
Yup, all the ad homs from the get-go are an indication that James has little else to offer in the way of real arguments. He's incredibly rude and arrogant, while his guest, much as I disagree with him, remains polite and calm. It's not a good look but maybe it gets more views?

Is this really what classifies as a debate or discussion. Whether you agree or disagree with the argument - at the foundation of the conversation should be mutual respect. The activist on the show did not raise his voice or call anyone names.

I worked in the Oil & Gas industry.
I have a Masters in Petroleum Geoscience with Exploration.
From an educational, and a professional point of view, I feel I have some sort of qualified handle on both sides of the energy and climate arguments.
However, be under no illusion. James Whale’s tactics here do NOTHING for civil discourse on what is a very complex matter. This was painful and embarrassing to watch.

James Whale is unnecessarily abrasive and arrogant in almost every interview he does with anyone he disagrees with. I totally agree with him on the topic but he's there to insult and fight, not to have a conversation. Calling a guest 'stupid', 'an idiot' and 'a moronic twit' is a horrible and unprofessional way to conduct an interview. His behavior said more about him than the activist, who actually handled the constant insults in a civil manner.

Animal fertilisers are hardly used these days, that's a fairly old practice. Most fertilisers now are nitrogen-based.
