Horrible behaviour. This guy, clearly in good faith, believed he was invited on radio to discuss his, admittedly bizarre, book and beliefs. Instead, he's actually just been invited on to be mocked and humiliated at his expense. What a pointless, cynical thing to do.

Pure tabloid sensationalism, using the lure of certain political ideas to attract an idea. Aside from its grubby profiteering, this sort of thing is simply containment of the political ideas they pretend to defend. Reject them.
Totally with you - much like Tony Topping, I used to really respect JW on Central Weekend, when he was a brilliant referee, keeping the peace and sense of rationale over heated debates.
James, if you're reading this, please don't soil your legacy - you used to be able to disarm with humour, but now there's a cynicism to your interviewing style that is beneath you. This guy didn't deserve this treatment.

It was but the guy did the right thing, no point in coming onto a show in 2022 to be ridiculed by skeptics who think the millions of people who have seen these things over the last century are all barmy. That's the 1940s all over again, we need to move on..
Guess TalkTV isn't always a leading voice in morality. I for one don't believe in alien sightings, but people are entitled to what they believe, and when you invite someone on your show, as long as what their talking about isn't harmful or teaching bad lessons, it's just cruel to slander them in a public setting like this.
In James's defence; if you walk onto any show and claiming you are communicating with extraterrestrials, and provide evidence in the form of drawings, you're going to get ridiculed regardless of whether it's the BBC, LBC, Talk Sport, Virgin etc...

I must admit I found it amusing but childish even though I am a firm believer in alien visitations. No doubt in my mind that these things are real and visit earth daily, also live under the sea and other secret areas including the moon and neighbouring planets. You can tell someone is clueless by the usual, we send messages into space but havent received a response, complete smokescreen sir, believe that and you will believe anything.

These presenters never gave this gentleman a chance. It would of been nice to listen to him and what he had to say. It might of started a logical debate on the phenomenon, which is truely fascinating. Its the oldest trick in the book and media have been using it for years. Diverting the subject and mock, to make this gentleman look like an idiot.

He's an entertainer. That's his style to wind people up to get a reaction, so people phone in. He's been doing it for years. The guest on the show took it personally. He knew the format, he's listened to the show before.

James's job is to criticise and identify information asking questions that lead to more of an understanding of the subject. However he did no such thing what he actually did was mock and belittle the guy. As if James's opinion was already set. I was rather interested in what they guy had to say. After which then criticise his book or quote him back so we are far better informed. James was very unprofessional and judgemental before we as an audience could understanding his observations and make up our own minds.
Most of the time James loves talking about how he believes in aliens, but just not this time… mr flip flop at it again.

The belief in extra terrestrial life in itself doesn’t make one a crackpot. Arthur C Clarke put it best when he said; I paraphrase: two possibilities exist, either we are alone in the universe or we are not, both are equally as terrifying.
Believing in extra terrestrial life somewhere out in the universe is very different to claiming you've been visited by real life Atlas and Predator.

We all know its part of the show for James to play up to the camera's playing the rude obnoxious character, but this man was invited onto his show and even if James didn't believe a word he said he should have given his guest a chance all the way through to explain what he believed to be true, even if at the end he said to the guest I just don't believe this. I like James not that he cares less if people like him or not, but he has to let people talk and stay to the end, unless otherwise whats the point.
I was on the James Whale show back in 92. We were promoting a play called House of Dracula and the week before Julian Clairy walked out offended by James. At the time on the show my makeup was like an Egyptian emperor/God whatever, and James said to me during the ads that Julian had walked off the week before. After the break James sat next to me saying to camera "look everyone Julian's back after saying he would never ever come back on my show."
I was a background guest and a budding actor at the time but froze up when live TV came back on. Who knows now looking back maybe that was my big opportunity to do a Clairy impression...alas my acting career came to naught much after.
The main guest that night was Gary Glitter and look what happened there😱
Strange thing is JW used to have guests like this on all the time years ago, including Nick Pope and Georgina Bruni he was always respectful and sounded interested , Bizarre how he has gone full circle and treating guests like this

One afternoon when I finished school, I noticed that instead of going home the kids were standing in a crowd and I saw they were watching an object hovering above the perimeter of the school grounds. it was a mettalic disc shape and the only feature on it was a row of lights moving from left to right along its enter line, it was a nice sunny afternoon so I don't know if they were lights and although the object was metallic. Looking there was no noise from it. A balloon or a helicopter never keep letfe tly still when they hover but the disc was as if it was fixed in the air, it never moved the tiniest fraction. After a few minutes it suddenly flew away, in those days no one carried cameras but if I had taken photos sceptics would have said they were fake even though they wouldn't have been. I was amazed to see something people say doesn't exist and after all these decades I still often think about it.
Whale has been hosting shows for 40 years, so every guest knows what they are getting with him. They're ok with going on his show, for a bit of free advertising, but they don't like it when they get a bit of stick from him. Grow up ffs. James is a radio legend for good reason.

Why is it that commentators insist on inviting guests that interest viewers, only to ask them a question, then rudely talk over them so no one can hear the answer!! Not the way to attract viewers at all. I suggest people listen to Shaun Attwood who covers many subjects this being one of them. Where guests are allowed to be heard!!
except it's obviously a good way to attract viewers, otherwise they wouldnt do it. consider how little time and effort goes in to this compared to a 2 hour podcast.

What proof is sufficient?
James has no proof either but there are countless witness testimonies on this subject from all walks of life, doesn't take much to investigate. The pentagon have already admitted these craft are real but are pretending they don't know what they are.

As a kid I watched James Whale because my mum used to tape late night Prisoner Cell Block H and it was on afterwards. Good to see his career has really taken off!
