Hi. I think this is a great video. I work in a pharmaceutical laboratory in Argentina. We would like to use your video for educational purposes but we need to translate the audio to spanish so, we want to ask for permission to use this way altered video in this context.
This operation, while it may look simple, it is tricky. You have to go to an experienced surgeon and center. Dr. Gerald Lawrie in Houston has done hundredths of these.
You say, "talk to my doctor about HCM, HOCM" the problem is, i have been diagnosed with HOCM, and there is no Doctor around me that understands this medical problem
I know just how you feel. My nurse practitioner actually said I could be managed by their office, NOT EVEN AN ACTUAL CARDIOLOGIST! She's really gung ho I get my knee replaced. I'm just not risking an operation by a non cardiology Dr. til I know more about this problem. Very frustrated!

I believe thats a diastolic murmor caused by LVOTO I just got diagnosed with this and they found after doing stress test my gradient to be 122mmhg They found my gradient 2 years ago to be 22mmhg at rest but never did a stress test, put me on a beta blocker carvedelol which also is a diuretic from what inunder stand a diuretic can magnify the lvoto! Its been a frustrating ride over the last 6 years i had told my doctor i have a hard time during my bike rides and runs Some days i feel great then i would have days where my legs would feel like they were nit getting blood and feel real tight and my chest would get real tight and feel likebi wasnt getting any air. They related to my getting older 2 years ago after getting on carvedelol i kept telling the cardiaologist the medicine makes it feel worse and in have even more bad days with less good days! He kept me on it told me to back off when i dont feel good!
because in obstructive hocm, the mitral valve is moved anteriorly so it blocks most of the blood from reaching the aortic valve. Therefore, because of increased pressure on the abnormally located mitral valve, the valve will open backwards.
uncurable in the sense that you cannot reverse it in your original heart. Transplants are often the only long-term "cures" to these sorts of pathologies
Yeah people can get a heart transplant if they get this I heard that there aren’t any symptoms for this disease so there isn’t a chance that you will live anyway Plus heart transplants take forever because you need to wait in a line to get it since other people need the same thing
Hey this is Jessicah I can’t get on the other account but I’m not sure what you can do about it. I saw that you already went to the doctor but just do what they said for it.

Why would the Mitral valve open during contracion of the heart when it's supposed to be closed so the blood can go through the Aortic valve?
because in obstructive hocm, the mitral valve is moved anteriorly so it blocks most of the blood from reaching the aortic valve. Therefore, because of increased pressure on the abnormally located mitral valve, the valve will open backwards.
This is due to the Venturi Effect which happens when fluid flows through a narrow tract
