Christen! What a beautiful job showcasing these gorgeous quilts....tytyty! You're a doll to spend so much time giving us a peersonal look at the talented quilters pieces.
This is just incredible! True confessions time: I just started quilting - with a $150 machine from Walmart - and I can't afford to have my quilts professionally quilted. I'm limited to the quilt-as-you-go method or working on smaller quilts. After seeing all the detail photos and how wonderful the quilts look with just simple, straight line quilting and combination machine/hand quilting, I have a new outlook and new enthusiasm toward my projects. I can't thank you enough for sharing and for such great filming and editing. You did a fantastic job!
Aw Shelley! THIS is exactly the reason that I made this video. For YOU and people like you who just need a little spark. 🤩 Every single one of these amazing artists started exactly where you are too. Keep making beautiful things that bring your heart joy 🥳
@@privateinfo1711 Tell me more! What hoop did you use? Did you like the hoop? What stitching patterns did you use, where did you get it/them, what threads and needles did you use? Can you tell, I'm really excited to know more? LOL
awww. thank you so much for that feedback. The absolute best way is to experience it in person, but I really do try my best to show the quilt show in all of its glory to those that can't make the trip. I really appreciate your sweet words 😘😘
Thank you for sharing! These quilts are artwork, so they intimidate me rather than inspire me as a quilter, but I do love seeing the unique color combinations, quilting designs, and motifs. I do get some ideas, but mostly they just make me feel like a beginner. If I make a quilt, you are allowed to touch it and even throw it in a washing machine, LOL! If it is worn to pieces, I'll make you another one. I will never make a quilt worthy of entering in a show, and that's okay.
I am not up to these standards either... but I like to see all of the different ways people make quilts and still make it in the show. There is no wrong or right way... just make beautiful things 😘😘
Wow! You did the absolute best job of showing these. The Eggs, the one with the poodles and OMG the one with all the houses in the trees! And the tomb of the unknown soldier with the beautiful snowflake details. I just can't get over them all. Your presentation is stellar! I want to download it and put it on my big screen TV in a loop. Once is just not going to be enough for me. Thank you!
oooooooh, that is an amazing idea! I'll have to cast it to my living room TV and let it play. Great suggestion. I was absolutely in awe of all of the quilts there this year.... stunning. Thank you for watching. I'm so glad you enjoyed watching. 😘😘
Wow and wow. Thank you for taking the time to film and share these quilts. I always think the patterns are what makes a quilt and then see the quilting in quilts like these and fall in love. Wow and wow!!
I'm happy to! I tried to get it to you asap 🤩 I still have one more video coming with all the goodies that I brought home from the show. Thanks for watching
Oh My GOODNESS! WOW! I am SO glad I didn't have to be a judge on these quilts. I just... WOW! Loved all the Sunflower ones (sunflowers are my fav). The whimsical Fried Eggs, too cute. One of the others, I'm not sure but, I want to say of "Lucille Ball". So many. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome! I didn't even get every single quilt. There are so many there and its hard to take pictures without a bunch of people in them, but I sure did try! 🤩1 I appreciate the compliment
Wow some of these are gorgeous. I don't think I would have the patience to put some of them together. I stand amazed at the beauty some people create. Thanks for sharing. And the quilting is beautiful.
Oh my so many quilts! I loved how you showed the whole quilt and then some details. Some were not my style in pattern or colors but the quilting was wow…wow,,,,,wow!
I loved this video. So many amazing pieces of work. The talent is unbelievable. I hope to make it there for a show one year. The glimpse inside made me want to go! Thanks for your hard work in putting this together it's very much enjoyed and appreciated.
These quilts are amazing! They have given me so much inspiration! Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I am now making a plan to attend my first show next year! I love your channel!
Great video 😊 I seen quite a few of these at QuiltCon this year in Phoenix 😊 Definitely some beautiful quilts. And definitely such a large show. I would have never been able to walk this whole show! It's huge!
I love this video! I grew up in Houston going to the quilt festival. I wasn’t able to go this year, but you captured the amazing talent, creativity and work of the artists. Only thing I would’ve like to see is the card next to the quilt with designer, quilter and story behind the quilt. It’s a big ask, but I think important for our quilting community. Great job, I am sure you spent a ton of time on this!
I do understand where you're coming from. I wish I could create a 5 hour long loop of every single square inch of the show lol but the massive size of the show just makes that so hard to capture. Thank you for watching 🤩🤩
@@ISeeStarsQuilting the quilt festival is something everyone needs to experience. I love your videos and hope you didn't feel any disrespect. Next year, I will be there, it's so nice to see the international vendors returning...I love fabric from the Netherlands and Japan!
@@lisamuir2091 didn't feel any disrespect at all, sweetheart! 😘 I appreciate the feedback! I love all the international fabrics too - I hope there are even more booths next year
The international quilt festival is always held in Houston, TX every year... But there is another giant festival in Japan every year too that I would love to visit one day!

Absolutely beautiful works of art! Admire those cloth artists who share their talents with the rest of the world!

I just hand quilted a queen size quilt using a sturdy 24 inch wooden hoop . I was pretty amazed!

There are several you tube channels showing this quilt show, but yours is unquestionably the best. It's wonderful! Thank you so much.
