- Donny Osmond wanted to take a picture with Gaston at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. The same Gaston would be featured in a video of a push up contest with a park guest as seen in the following link.

In the 70's Donny couldn't get near Disneyland unless they rented the whole park. So nice to see how friendly and down to earth he is. We had such great roll models growing up with his family. We need more like them!

@@christophermoy426 It has been widely reported his name is Rob Walker, however, in another thread, three people who claim to know him personally state that is NOT his real name. He no longer plays Gaston, but no idea if he still works for Disney. He was the greatest character actor and I miss him.

Like, it has been reported that the cast member's name is Rob Walker. However, at least three other people have posted on another thread that they know him personally, and that is NOT his real name. As of January 2015 he no longer plays Gaston, and I have no information as to whether or not he is still with Disney. He was loud and a perfect guy to play the part. I miss him.

@@jaryant Yes, sadly, that actor's name was Devon Staples. He was celebrating the 4th of July at a barbeque with friends and family, and tried to light a fireworks mortar off the top of his head, and was killed instantly. Just a freak accident and so very sad.
