I thought Donny's testimony was so great. He made me laugh and I cried also when he talked about his mother passing. Mother and Father Osmond would have been very proud of their sons for doing this for her. I wish I could have gotten scripture from John. I did not remove the scriptures. I only edited out Donny's part of the fireside......his brothers also spoke. For some reason, that part was cut out of the original footage. I have no idea why.
The term fireside comes from the fireside chats that FDR use to do on the radio during the 1930's. In the LDS setting you are right its an informal gathering talking about a spiritual subject. Many times its done in someones home. But not always.

I dont like how the quote that Donny was to make from the Bible was cut, and just when he talks about Jesus Christ at hte end it ends abruptly?
