I was there, what a fantastic night. Mind-blowing location and the crowd went wild. The Russians love the Beatles / McCartney and they knew all the words to the songs. Best of all the next day Putin gave Paul and his wife a personal tour of the Kremlin. And the headlines in the Russian newspaper in Cyrillic letters when in stood in front of the tomb of Lenin, was 'Lenin and McCartney'....wow.
I just noticed Gorbrachev was in the background.
He was part of the audience.

Everyone enjoys Beatles Songs and music. The Beatles moved the world forwards for a time the World was a better place. Да, так. Билет стоил 100 долларов ровно. Уже с первых минут представления, собственно ещё до основной части концерта , т.е. выступления Маккартни со своей группой меня поразило выступление танцевально-гимнастической группы, где особенно впечатлил одетый в гимнастический костюм фасона столетней давности силач с чёрными нафабренными и закрученными вверх усами, который под какую-то феерическую музыку выполнял упражнения с штангой, в которой вместо привычных блинов в качестве нагрузки были достаточно тяжёлые шары, но выполненные в виде глобуса нашей планеты Земля.
