Yo! VR content! Thank you, Jeff! I remember you being hesitant to release VR content because of some viewers being sensitive to the head movement but glad you came around to giving it a try for us less susceptible folk!
Jeff, most of us have been fans for 1,2,5 or even 10 years and Brother you don't need to apologize.. at least for me , Love ya dude, your in my prayers God Bless
As a current ramp agent, this is very well made. I would try it out but I don’t want to do my job at home. Lol. They should make you get in the belly and stack bags. 😂
I cannot express how much I want an Aircraft Carrier version of this. Imagine being the shooter and launching F18s one after another or having to direct an E2 Hawkeye around a busy deck and up to the catapults. That would be perfection.
I will not lie, I would love that. I've always wanted to have a game where me and my pals could operate a carrier(Carrier command doesn't count but its the closest game to it). It'd be so damn cool to do that. Hell, if it was both aircraft operation, deck ops, ship command, and ground ops, oh man I would love that.
10:23 i work on the ramp at JFK and this part is totally relatable. I hate when I throw up the X and they don’t come to an immediate stop and just completely overshoot the line. so annoying lmao
Yep. Pilots really don't pay attention to marshaling unless wing wallers are requested for obstacles. At least B-2 Pilots paid attention for the stop since we had a Crew Chief next to centerline with headsets. And they couldn't see the person.
at ontario ups on the 2 and 3 gate rows (they have castor decks which is basically an elevated deck with a bunch of wheels to roll the containers on, and it is really important that the plane stops on that line. Reason being is because the aircraft main cargo door should start where the deck ends so the k loader has enough room to line up.
Oh right back at ya bud, if you're marshaling a heavy don't expect us to stop on a dime, tons of marshalers stop us at exactly where the line is, especially on wet runways, expect us to move a few more inches
@@topethermohenes7658 A good marshaller understands that, i’m talking about in instances where you marshall them to a slow stop but when you throw up the X they shoot straight past the line. No inclement weather or anything like that. Personally i stop a heavy right before the nose gear reaches the line bc obviously a heavy takes a bit of time to stop.
This is amazing…as a current ramp trainer in the US. This would be an amazing tool to train with. Specially the marshaling! We have a simulator for pushing back aircraft but this is awesome!
What pushbacks do you use? For everything from the 145 to the 777 they had us do it in actual flights for our first pushes, a pushback sim seems like a great idea
I looked up the company that makes it, and they make VR training tools like this, and for airport security, pilots, and maintenance. Pretty neat. Definitely more fun than a PowerPoint too.
This is an absolutely fantastic video. Thanks Jeff. My dad was a Full-Bird AC-130 and C-130 pilot so I had lots of childhood exposure to the workings on the tarmac, obviously not even close to as much as your average ground handler, but it's still cool to see little nuances I remember.
You always find the most random simulation games Jeff, but this one was actually really cool and it was so interesting to hear you talk about your ramp experience. Keep up the great work King!
I could tell you never lost your touch even after all these years after leaving the runway scene at the airports. We can tell you never lost your touch. This is just like old training. It's like you were refreshing your training from when you were working at the airport. This is just cool to see what you used to do back in the day
Stuff works differently at my station/airline. We don't give that go here signal then go straight to an X. We do the go here but when they get close, we transition to a go this far signal where we close the sticks to show the distance left to go then an x to stop
That’s how it works every where, you can even see in the game the plane makes a sudden and uncomfortable abrupt stop because he never signaled it to start applying brakes lol
I want to work my way up eventually to managing the ramp operations but by starting on the ramp so I learn how it all works. I am hoping to start at VHHH where I grew up then eventually use my experience to move back to my hometown at EGPF or EGPH
Story time. In late December of 2017, I was flying from YYC (Calgary Intl Airport) to CUN (Cancún, Mexico) and the pushback truck’s brakes had failed, and COMPLETELY destroyed the front landing gear. They kept us on the plane for roughly 5+ hours, as maintenance inspected it, and replaced it. What was supposed to be a 5 1/2 hour flight, turned into an 11 hour ordeal.
Only thing that could be more realistic is looking at the GPU connector two or three times to make sure you have it orientated the right way. Spent 8 years on the ramp really impressed on the detail. The lingo also took me back ha
Jeff is doing it again! He's giving us a video of a new game that he's trying out. It never fails, and I must say ITS AWESOME! This game looks interesting and if the graphics look this great while watching it on video, I can only imagine how insane they are IRL! Definitely looks interesting. Also, you don't have to apologize to us for what RUclips is doing. You're actually not the only one RUclips is messing with, with others I've seen people say that RUclips is either putting out videos sooner than they should, or putting them out super late or not at all. RUclips has actually been bad on my end for the past couple of days. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got hacked and someone is messing with their stuff and they're not telling us. We know RUclips is a bunch of people that don't like to admit when they do something wrong or if something is happening on their end. But awesome video as always Jeff! Keep knocking them out the park buddy!
As you said the attention to detail is just fantastic. thanks for explaining the acronyms, cause it helped me alot. thanks to you now i know alot more about the checks that have to be done, also i think now i could do a proper flight check myself. Loved it. Keep it up Jeff.

As someone who worked 3 years as a ramp agent at the beginning of my career (CVG and DTW), this is SO cool. Glad to know you are a fellow former ramper.
Great vid, as always !! But what made me enjoy this video is listening to his voice, the joy, and the excitement of being near planes. Our jeff is and will always be an aeronautic lover. Planes, rockets, he loves it all. So lovely to learn a bit more about you! You're a great person doing great content. Keep it up, Jeff!!
This video brought up fond memories when I was a Ramp Agent, worked at it for a while and eventually got to a point where I was the primary DGT (Designated Ground Trainer) for the ramp, We unloaded Amazons planes so we'd get 737s and 767-300s in, It was the first job I ever had where, even though it was rough, I genuinely loved every moment of it.
I currently work for United as a ramp agent and man the details on this and the fact that you see in the video it’s actually what we do applauses for the creator of the game
Saw this on the steam store and was really intrigued by it. Sadly I saw it was in VR only so I wasn't able to pick it up. Thank you Jeff for showing it to us! Would love to see more if there is more to it :)

As someone who supervises and has done some of these things while working at UPS, this game looks phenomenal. Granted I'm working with 757's, 767's, and A300's but most of the stuff here applies so they did a good job and did their research.
This was a awesome video. I was a Jet Fuel for many years on the Ramp at an😀 international Airport and know a lot about of the life being out on the Ramp. Now I'm spending my time on the Corporate side of General aviation at FBOs (Fixed Base Operation).
At 5:28 you had me cracking up about the pothole, working at DEN those are all too common, luckily more outside the OSZ than inside but they’re still annoying when you take a baggage cart or a diesel belt loader over them 😂
Pretty cool game! It's very interesting hearing your perspective on things. As a mil and airline pilot I have seen the good, bad and ugly of marshaling. I'm sure you guys have seen some less than perfect taxiing too! Thanks for always providing quality content! I always enjoy watching your OCRP and Aviation themed videos.
@20:00 i can confirm, that is what the A320 hydralic system sounds like when opening or closing the cargo doors. Only thing is that the pump noise is actually from the main gear well though. I work as a fueler so im familar with most aircraft in Delta's fleet including the regional fleet too.
Being an ex-employee of the airport, when bring the plane in, you should stop the waving motion of your lights and slowly bring the together until you form an "X" with them. This gives the pilot an idea of how close they are to stopping.
I just watched a video on what it's like to handle bags and drive the certain vehicles and load the plane and put away the chalks hats off to the people who have to do that every day at an airport
This was so cool to see as I also used to do that. The ambiance sounds is amazing. Anyone else notice that the training guys voice sounds just like guy from Waze?! Great game and vid Jeff!
You know I have to say thank you to you Jeff... because of you mentioning you were getting a HP Reverb G2 headset I looked into it and ending up getting one several months ago. Gotta say i do like it but can't wait for all the new headsets with those pancake lenses. That will get rid of most of the GodRays we get and the edges of the lenses will be way sharper. I can't wait to actually be able to use my eyes to look around more rather than having to turn my head.
Imma ramper and do this multiple times daily … I think it’s interesting how marshaling has slight changes depending on the company but it’s overall the same . For example with us it’s from come ahead to a slow rise into X … doing an immediate X is an emergency stop .
I used to watch your videos in the airport years ago! I remember when Speirs did a video with you for GTA IV, I really liked your content and I still do. You could probably do some type of video talking about stories you have of your experience as a ground handler, that'd be pretty cool IMHO.
As a Ramper myself nice job! But only critique I have is slowly give him the X when you Marshall the plane in and put your hand/forearms to the side the slowly raise them slowly to something like this l l then show the X when he’s on the line. Each Airline is different on how they Marshall but it’s pretty much the same thing all the time
I think the only improvement I can see so far on this is how you move in it. It would be cool for them to somehow incorporate a joystick like free motion.
Awhile back I marshaled in airliners, most the people I worked with were lazy so I got to almost do it every single flight I worked, loved every single one I got too do. You get use to it obviously but the first couple times is such a rush
I work at the MCO. Interesting fact, I said to one of my coworkers “why don’t they make a game about the work we do here, it’s very entertaining work.” And then two weeks later, this game came out and has been on my wishlist since then. XP
After working a short stint as a ramp agent for Piedmont, I learned a lot of cool shit and now whenever I’m traveling with family and they complain about things taking long while sitting on the plane I just look at them with the “are you kidding?” look. But I also learned a lot of my physical limitations……being 6’4, 90% of my time left my back an absolute mess and I was guaranteed a bump on the head every day.
Game: Brings you an aircraft in thick fog (so think you can barely see it) with it's left engine on fire. Also game: You failed because you didn't see the left engine on fire, even though you wouldn't have seen it until it was pointed out to you.
Yo! VR content! Thank you, Jeff! I remember you being hesitant to release VR content because of some viewers being sensitive to the head movement but glad you came around to giving it a try for us less susceptible folk!

Holy crap, when you pushed the lever for the door, and that sound came on, it was like I was back at work
This is cool, keep up the vr content
As a Ramper myself nice job! But only critique I have is slowly give him the X when you Marshall the plane in and put your hand/forearms to the side the slowly raise them slowly to something like this l l then show the X when he’s on the line. Each Airline is different on how they Marshall but it’s pretty much the same thing all the time
Lastnight when you upload this i was knockout cold after a beer😂😂
I think the only improvement I can see so far on this is how you move in it. It would be cool for them to somehow incorporate a joystick like free motion.
Agreed
Awhile back I marshaled in airliners, most the people I worked with were lazy so I got to almost do it every single flight I worked, loved every single one I got too do. You get use to it obviously but the first couple times is such a rush
I noticed they don't cover using the flamethrowers to remove the alien rats from the shuttle wheel wells.
I work at the MCO. Interesting fact, I said to one of my coworkers “why don’t they make a game about the work we do here, it’s very entertaining work.”
And then two weeks later, this game came out and has been on my wishlist since then. XP
This game in VR looks great. Nice video jefffff
As a form ramp agent at FedEx I miss doing this everyday. Great video and I wish we had this.
Rampies for life
Currently a line manager for a small regional airport
This games pretty sweet
Game: Brings you an aircraft in thick fog (so think you can barely see it) with it's left engine on fire.
Also game: You failed because you didn't see the left engine on fire, even though you wouldn't have seen it until it was pointed out to you.
Imagine they connected it with MSFS2020 and Vatsim. That would be awesome
