      In level 2 if you Pass you don't lose 1,000 in fact you only lose 500 in live account. Remember if you fail Phase 2 you have to lose 10% as it is the Max DD allowed by FTMO which would make you 1,000 in live account But if you Pass Phase 2 you would only lose 500 as Phase 2 only requires 5% to pass!

    If you are taking profitable trades on your challenge account then the bot is doing the opposite on your live account. Why would I want to win a challenge and lose real money in my personal account?

    Where you are making 10k and losing 3k is dangerous because you are risking the complete account. What if market does not continue the movement, then you will lose your account because of daily drawdown and will also lose a part of your capitale.

      This EA automatically calculates lot sizes for perfect hedging, can auto close and manage trades before DD and ultimately provides a much more hands off experience than having to manually hedge every trade you’re in.

    I don't get it… if you lost one of your accounts & let's say it's the Propfirm account, means you have breathed the rules by losing 10,000$, so the other account won 10k… & the opposite is if you won & moved to the second stage means your real account has lost 10k out of only 3k which makes this impossible, can you explain am I lost or there's a problem in the math?

    Hi, nice explanation. Is the license locked to particular name of MT4 or MT5 if i purchase?

    • @ThePropEA
      @ThePropEA 9 месяцев назад +4

      The license is linked to your live account (MT4/MT5), not the prop account, which means you can use it to pass multiple challenges, but one challenge at a time, as long as your license is valid.

      Thanks for watching! That's a tough situation, as mentioned, PropEA has been thinking about this which is why there is a magic number input, trade comments and the fact that all PropEA trades are unique from each other. With that being said, in that type of situation, it really increases your prop firm risk if you're working with a firm that has such strict rules. My best advice would be to use another firm if possible.

Because there is a risk, if ftmo is not pays you and you also lose the 3k on your personal account thats pretty bad.

      There is always prop firm risk to some degree, even when you trade discretionary on prop firms. Hey, really liked your content. But is it considered arbitrage hedging? Is there any chance the prop firm found out and ban my account or not paying out? I would lose on my live account and not being able to recover from prop funded account

    • @lincolnneilsen
      @lincolnneilsen  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! From what I’ve understood, arbitrage hedging is against the rules of it uses 2 prop accounts, specifically of that same company. However with PropEA, from the prop firm perspective, you just have one challenge account running that’s taking shorts and longs. It really wouldn’t be possible/fair for them to claim you’re hedging when they have 0 access of your live account.

      @@lincolnneilsen if phase 2 passes you don't lose 1k, instead you only lose 500. This is because or the asymmetrical risk to reward on phase 2. So when phase 2 passes it only needs 5% so you only lose $500 on the real account. But if phase 2 fails and goes all the way to 10%, then yes you would gain $1000 on the real account.

    • @lincolnneilsen
      @lincolnneilsen  8 месяцев назад

    Seeing how meta quotes has removed unregulated brokers from their platform, does propEA also work with regulated, low- leveraged brokers who do not allow indicies/gold trading ?

    • @lincolnneilsen
      @lincolnneilsen  9 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the comment. Since PropEA is a hedging EA, any instrument you intend to trade must be available on both accounts. When it comes to leverage, the trades are initiated based on the leverage and margin requirements of the Prop account. The opposite trades on the live account are much smaller, because their target is to recover the cost only. Therefore, the EA can operate on leverage as low as 1:30 with “Slow” mode with no problems. Slow mode is an option that you can select in the EA settings, and it would place smaller trades with farther TP/SL.
