Hello, is there any land close to the beach like the video for sale?
thank you for this! how much would it be to buy a property close to the beach similar to this or like a 10 min walk away?
We used to live there. The great thing is there are guys on bikes and scooters everyday that sell fruit n veggies, or fish, and tortillas. You get to know their sounds . I really miss it .
My kinda spot :)
Were is this
Why did you leave?
this is beautiful ❤
Sure
Great video! This is exactly how Puerto Morelos used to look just a few years ago before the expat boom. It's not going to be so quiet and sleepy for too much longer. Looks like the area is already under construction.
Simple life = Happy life in Mexico 🇲🇽
Yes.
Help I don't know what I'm doing on this phone or the internet so I don't know how we would communicate
Wow, this is awesome! This would be thousands to rent in the U.S. what an amazing deal and I love that there is a beach view. Thank you for sharing this.
thanks for watching
my cousin moved 8 months ago to oaxaca from the USA , I am seriously considering to go as well.. I love it there !!!!!!!!!
Do it
How would you get medical care?
@@melaniesimms7320when were there the doctor took donations

My wife and I are really excited to be moving to Playa Del Carmen in October when our house is finished being built. Where else in the world you can retire at 42, have a house totally paid off and be next to the beach? So excited. My wife is from Pachuca all her family lives there but she wants to live by the beach
This is an incredible value. At some point in life, this is the kind of place I see myself living.
Amen
Wow! We talking soon. I will be there June ( look around) moving in October if not sooner! 😁😊
I knew u would like this
Same! We're visiting in June and moving in October! 🎉
I’m jealous!!!! Keep us all posted on your move!
That was a very nice apartment, and being on the beach like that should keep things cool so she won't have to run the A/C which will keep the electric bill down.
Exactamente :)
Yucatan gets very hot and humid. Trust, you will need that AC at times.
It’s in the state of Yucatán it’s very humid and hot so you will definitely be keeping the electric bill busy
This is our dream. I have a few years until I retire. My retirement works on 80 rule. Age plus years of service must equal 80. Then you can retire with full benefits. Currently we travel to Mexico 🇲🇽 every chance we get. It’s the most beautiful place to visit. My wife loves the beach. 🏖️ we will at the very least live par time in Mexico. We are considering dual residency but still need to learn more about it. I am subscribing to your channel so I can learn more about these amazing places. You are living the dream my man while helping others do the same. I wish you the best and success in everything you do.
Im mature enough to admit I'm jealous 😢 but Happy for you Sis..please enjoy 😉.
🙌🙌🙌
Blows my mind! Makes me reconsider everything I know I want. As a solo person its too remote. I need the city and all it offers, but damn. Damn.
jejeje ... decisions decisions decisions
I was there with the wife a couple of months ago. it's very quiet town and beautiful in it's own way. If you're looking for quiet this town has it! Thank you Cartess!!!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Unbelievable! I am glad I found your video. Planning to relocate to Mexico
This looks amazing!!! This is the dream. Good to know about how to order delivery from the guys on bikes!
Wow! Living in Cali i didnt think places like this still existed lol
Absolutely. All over the world (outside of the US). A condo like this in Florida would easily go for $3000+ per month plus association fees
yeh, me too. I'm leaving very soon:)
GREAT VIDEO MY BROTHER 💯
I appreciate it!
Unbelievable. Absolutely manageable 👌🏽👌🏽
🔥🔥🔥
We appreciate you doing what you do thanks for showing us all another way that we can live. Enjoy the coffee ❤👏👏👏👏👏👏
That is so kind of you. I appreciate that. Thank you mucho!
That place is awesome hopefully they have more like this in the area ready to move in that way selling in America is easy and you just bring yourself love it !!!😊❤❤
❤❤❤
The beaches are beautiful in Mexico
I lived in Puerto morelos and its very affordable too!
Would you give examples on the cost of food in US dollars $?
@qianaclayton4156 that depends on what level you want to eat at. Or of you go to super market or the specialty ships. They have meat & produce and fruit and vegetables shops it's great!
I use to get 3 beef tacos & Mexican coke for $4 . 3 40 Oz beers with the return bottles and 10 pack of cigarettes was $5-7 dollars. Hair cut $8
2 bedroom furnished with AC 5 minutes to beach $300
Single person can live large on $1,000,-1,500
There’s an entire generation coming close to retirement that cannot afford to remain in the US and I’m one of them. I’m already looking overseas and considering Mexico. I gravitate towards small cities but this looks admittedly stunning.
Check out Mérida and its surrounding areas. Considered the 2nd safest city in the US, Canada and Mexico. Lots of affordable options here.
Great video, I appreciate the in depth video of the options in Mexico.
Our pleasure!
You live near the sea, be prepared that all your metal objects rust like crazy. Cars motorcycles bicycles. One disadvantage.
beautiful!!! But definitely need to figure out how to get a car down there....that is not walkable .
A bicycle would have u in the center in under 5-minutes (others ride atv)
I love that there’s no traffic
I just bought 5 minutes from the beach can't wait
awesome
in this same area? how did you find your property? congrats:)
Good morning , what is the exact location please and thank you . I would like to decide right now based on that. Happy Thursday
The bike we call triciclos nice video my friend lm from yucatan
thank u
I keep picturing Booker T the wrestler when he speaks. Their voices are so similar. So cool.
jejeje
Love it, but I take it...that there's no elevator huh? Where is the washer and dryer...on site?
No elevator.
@@MoveAbroadandThrive Ok. Great exercise I spose. Jajajajaja
I want to live there!!!! OMG!!!! Amazing!!! I've just got a couple years left to work and save to retire. It was between Mexico and Vietnam but Mexico has me sold. My Spanish is better than my Vietnamese anyway. LOL
Closer to the US in case u need to get back without losing all the money you saved on airline tickets back to US ... Mexico is awesome
Welcome
Progresso used to be a cruise ship stop for many cruise lines many years ago,and one of Carnivals favorite,I was on The Celebration over 30 years ago when it made that stop...The town was hopping then, now it has become a ghost town...
I wouldn't call it a ghost town. Cruise lines still come through and they're pretty busy and packed on the weekends especially (and on days when the cruise ships pull into port)
@@MoveAbroadandThrive Yes,it's not a regular port stop like Cozumel and Costa Maya...even the port of Cancun has limited stops now..
It looked nice to me there was other people out. Cruise ships coming all the time would probably make the area too touristy and unaffordable. Like i love costa maya and Cozumel but I’m guessing it’s not affordable to live in any of those cruise ship towns and there’s probably no jobs available that don’t relate to the tourism industry. I think i would really need a good remote job to move there.
@@lexa_power Yes,i have no interest in going to The Yucatan anymore,it has gotten very expensive, have been going there for almost 50 years, every year, sometimes 3-4 times...did a lot of diving...Even Holbox now..
I want that apartment! It’s PERFECT! Is this area close to Merida?
About 30 minutes
I like it
Nice condo with an exceptional location!
Siii
Nice tour of the town next to Progresso!!! Thanks! Looks clean and safe.
I will be there this Saturday. How do I get your assistance? I love this area
Congratulations 😁😁😁
@that1chocolatechuc728 Unfortunately, you're a bit late 😢 we had to book our June neighborhood tour with him back in March

Toes in the sand, just walking distance from the unit! Cool!
Ugh, 😢 I want to live there when I retire 🙏🙏
Kind of shoots a hole in the idea that everyone coming across the southern border is a “refugee“ escaping the horrors of their country… Absolutely beautiful
Yes and no. I'm mexican american and live in boarder town. I've been to Mexico many times grew up going there all the time as a kid. You have to remember the people that can do well there are Americans or other foreigners that have the money to do it it's cheap living but because you have the money. I'll guarantee you the workers that work in those hotels and those apartments and other businesses they're certainly not doing as well as any American or foreigner that's staying or living here. As another commenter said it is another country another culture you do have to adjust to and respect and accept the differences. If you really pay attention to the video you can see that they certainly do not have the same infrastructure as most places in the united states. Visually, I would blend in very easily there and I speak Spanish very well, but as soon as they heard my accent, they'd nail me for that. I would immediately be treated differently. A Caucasian person or a black person or an Asian person somebody that does not blend in there is certainly gonna be treated different as well. Remember, it's a small sleepy town. And just like in the united states small towns they know each other and they know everybody's business. To this day in my Mexican border town and all over Mexico the police are usually on a the take. They're not clean. It was just a way of life when we would cross a border to go party or shop or whatever it is we were doing over there. You always had cash in your pocket to pay a cop off or a traffic cop off. Talk to the people that lived there that said they enjoyed it.I'm sure they did but also have them give you details about the things that are just not the same as they are in the united states. Also, Mexico's doing better probably than Central America and South America. That still doesn't mean that there aren't poor people. There are people struggling people being trafficked, drugs, violence poverty.
3 people in the USA have more money than 160 million of their fellow citizens combined.
The famous 1% 🫤
$550 a month? Are you serious..I want to move there..
It's waiting for you :)
Me too 😅.
Can you give me more info on how I can do this
Is it easy or is bus service available? And are there stores nearby?
From watching yr videos wondering if a car is needed.
There are combis and the scooters with front seats . Having a bike is good. They have everything there, but even more in Progreso
Car would be nice. But a bicycle will get you all around that place without any issues. Be in the center of Chicxulub on a bike in under 5 minutes
Owner just told me transport vans/buses pass by condo every 5-10 minutes and take u to the center of Chicxulub (can also take to Progreso)
@@MoveAbroadandThrivehow much does the bus cost? Is it safe for women?
@@lexa_power yes safety for women is so important
Good video! What would you say an average price, for a long term rental, might be for a 1BR in all those various complexes that are right on the beach?
Is this chiklu in progreso what is the name of this beautiful beach town good spot you found❤
Chicxulub
Love ur videos!! Please keep me informed. I will be moving to Mayakoba. The south side by Tulum
Forget that message that's wrong sorry about that
I reside in California Cant wait ti sale my house
and buy a house in Baja to never come backl
Price is right but alittle out dated...that furniture has to go!!! Lol...great for someone
jejeje
I have been going to Mexico for 45 plus years, three to four times yearly...I was a diving instructor and took lots of tours there, especially Cozumel...Rent might be reasonable, but the prices of everything else is very expensive, much than the USA..Before covid, things were still cheap...
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness this is awesome. I most definitely would like a beachfront rental. Maybe unfurnished
Looking at google map, Chixulub is not by the ocean. It looks to be at a 20-30 min distance from the ocean.
Hello, beautiful apt. What about the dreaded HOA? Didn't hear it mentioned. Thanks...
I am always worried about the crime after seeing all the media about the cartels. Are they active in that area or is it relatively safe there?
Look into the city of Merida (it's the 2nd safest city in all of North America (Canada, Mexico and US). This town is about 25 minutes away from Merida. It's very very safe here. We've been here for 3-years with my daughters and wife. I would never put them in harms way. Very safe and they go about doing all the things they like. They're 15, 17 and 21 now
Thailand condos. Same price but you get much more. And it is much safer.
Wow
But flying home to see family is a real production. Terribly long flights.
Where exactly in Thailand?
@@achiengdeji Jomtien is the obvious example but there are many choices.
Where in Mexico is this video filmed? Beach seems calm.
Chicxulub Puerto (Outside of Merida, Yucatan)
@@MoveAbroadandThrive Thank you!
oh, man, I want to live right there:) with my doggie...happily ever after..
Come on down :)
Me too I have a golden retriever and he sleeps in the bed with me
Thanks!
You are too kind. I appreciate it. Gonna grab some fresh shrimp and fish tacos with it. Thank u
rent increases? how do those usually go? Anytime, any amount?
Typically 5% each year
I have family there. Beautiful warm clear waters.
If tgis is just outside Merida, YUCATAN, for about 6 months, it's 110 degrees F with humidity at 100! It's beautiful but I couldn't handle this two together!!! And that was in April.
Why was there only one car parked on That parking lot. Something seems very weird about that
Busy season is over (snowbirds start leaving around March/April to return to their home countries). Most of the places on the beach are short-term rentals/AirBnBs. Folks will occupy them on the weekends until busy season returns.
sunrise to right , sunset to left,,, depending on the season
Cost of living in Mexico is low, okay, but it doesn't help, because one can not get in easily due to the fact that Financial Requirements for the Retirement Visa are very high!
I understand. Like all other countries, they set guidelines to control the influx of people.
Look into the Regularization Visa - basically if you've been to Mexico at least once I think since 2018- you can get a temp residency and not have to show income- you must be on an expired tourism visa and you can do this within the country. They launched this when many expats were there for a while during Covid and couldn't easily get back home or didn't want to.
Great video!
I have arthritis. Stairs are difficult.
Luv it!!! Hopefully one day, l will get a chance to visit...=)
:)
The water is not crystal clear, is not really swimable, check cancun with the same budget.
Is this a hurricane prone area? Might be scary to be this close. But really nice, but kinda of dated.
Doesn't get hit often.
For $550 it’s not at all dated. That’s $2500 in my little Florida beach town. With mildewed furniture. Lol.
@@Mexicobeanpole Agreed. I saw others that was worse and they're charging $2000 USD 2 blocks up the street. I'll take the dated for $550 'Alex' jejeje ... I just care about and want the beach :)
Hurricanes are the least of your worries. You should be more worried about the crimes against Americans (kidnappings, robberies, and outright murder). Just two days ago, 1 American and 2 of his friends were shot in the head, execution style, just for their truck. It's been all over the news. Google "Surfers killed in Mexico". Attacks against Americans are COMMON in Mexico.
Girl bye....Americans will live in a closet in America paying 3500 but calling something dated to live in paradise.
So how about walking distance but not on the beach?
15-20 minute walk to town center
The financial criteria for a permanent residency is fairly high.
If you retire there and want to keep your SS benefits you need to maintain dual citizenship. So you have to live in US a certain amount of months a year. If you want to move expecting to work and pay less for rent…jobs are few and far between and pay is way lower than US. There is a reason people from Mexico are jumping our border.
Living in Mexico doesn't mean you lose your US citizenship (that's false). And, to live in Mexico full-time or part-time does NOT require you to have Mexican citizenship. You don't have to live in the US at to get your social security income (false again). In fact, Mexico is one of those places where you can have your SS income deposited directly into a Mexican bank account. Yes, jobs are few and far between for foreigners in Mexico, but the vast majority of US Citizens do not come to Mexico to work. There are over 1 million US Citizens living in Mexico part-time and full-time. Vast majority do NOT have Mexican citizenship. THe following statement is directly from the SS website: "If you are a U.S. citizen, you may receive your Social Security payments outside the U.S. as long as you are eligible for them." Here's a publication from the SS gov website: www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10137.pdf
People have been living here for 5 and 7 years and have not stepped back on US soil and continue to receive their payments from SS ... It's important people get credible advice before listening to random people on the Internet.
Love the desing consept
Approx how much is electric each month in the summer? (Running the a/c.) Thanks for the tour!
Varies on how much you consume. I've seen folks pay only about $50-$75 USD every 2 months, and I've seen others spend as much as $400 USD every 2 months.
I’m wondering where the music was coming from when you were inside the apartment. Mexico can be so noisy.
Do they have more than one
One left I believe
Looks great just wonder if it's furnished they can turn you out if they want a rent increase, anyone know ?
Im in!!🎉
Let's do it :)
Streets always empty how businesses stay afloat
Due to the heat, the streets come alive in the late evening
I am ready! thnx
I wondered how those people that lived there did during the flood and the tropical storm?
Can you rent first to see if you want to buy?
Sure (up to the owner)
It will be possible to rent only one week?
is it safe there
Yes. Very
I like minimal people around, would be great with new furniture.
Agreed
Is this property still available?
Does anyone know if a tenant is able to purchase their own furniture in places that are already furnished? I love this place but I would want my own decor and furniture. I’m wondering how that works…
Are these for sale? If yes, how much? Financing?
To put something like this out. Be serious. That is incredible. Where are you in the Yucatan
I haven't finished watching the video but where in Mexico is this and is this place shared with other tenants ?
It's in Chicxulub. Nope ... that was a 2 bedroom condo/apartment.
@@MoveAbroadandThrive OK man. Thanks for the reply. 👍That's really cheap.
Why is the current tenant leaving?
What is the crime situation here? We keep getting news stories about Americans being hurt of killed in Mexico lately.
Is that condo above the bug level? I remember Mexico having a lot of very big bugs all over. Otherwise, that looks
like a beautiful place to live.
In Chicxulub if you are facing the sea, it is really the Gulf Of Mexico of the bay, north or south.
I visited Merida before and went to Uxmal and Cancun and Chichen Itza.
But seems like Mexico has gotten more crime ridden from our news. Is that true.
Lovely little condo. You get your stair-stepping exercise there!
I am thinking I want to move to Chicxulub
Does the first condo have any available units?
Not any more available
Thank you for sharing, is there anymore available?
One more I believe
@@MoveAbroadandThrive ok how much is the deposit ?
Is this unit or others in the building still available?
