Someone pointed this out towards me: Zoobles eye seems to get better with Gangle, but returns to normal when with the others. It's said that your eye gets bigger when you're with someone you love or at least like.

4:27 for me the relevance of that scene comes in two reasons: - showing just how unhinged this manic gangle can get. That's she's not just "a little crazy" but also completely revelling in the control she's been given and not entirely in a good way, (though on the contrary...) - this is gangles chance to get back at jax. Gangle has always been one of Jax's biggest targets, and because of her personality (and also physicality to an extent), she's pretty powerless to do anything about it. She can't fight back. So with this newfound manic unhinged energy, plus the help of caine who has now discovered the art of "punishment", she can get back at him for all the bullying, and for once, he is the one powerless, being twisted around, held down, and lets be frank, he was scared. I also think it just adds a little more insight into jax's personality beyond just a jerk who bullies everyone. This is a moment of vulnerability for him, because for once he's the one being taken advantage of, and i think its interesting that his instinct in the moment was to say "no one can see this, right?". It shows that for him, he's fine with being put in these vulnerable situations, what he's most concerned about is making sure no one else can see him being powerless and vulnerable. In many ways, that's jax's "mask".
TADC has followed MD'S episodic formula almost one for one up until this point. The PILOT is generally very well received and establishes the setting. (Copper-9, The Circus) Episode 2 is a bridge episode that gives us exposition on something, and is centered on the main character. (The solver, Gummigoo) Episode 3 is peak. No further explanation needed. Episode 4 is a mixed bag, its polarizing for a lot of people. BOY OH BOY I CAN'T WAIT FOR TADC EPISODE 5 WHEN HAMSTER POMNI WILL INTERRUPT RAGATHA'S FLASHBACK, FRUMPTLEBUCKET'S RETURN, BAD COMEDY, AND A HORRIBLE CLIFFHANGER-
The scene where she brings Jax into the training room had lots of significance! It told us alot about her character and who Gangle is. You see at the end og the episode that she was drawing anime characters. The whole line about giving up your dreams of being a manga artist to work at fast food was her projecting her own feelings onto Jax. Also the whole thing where she brings him into the back room WAS the punishment. If people step out of line then they get put through that re-training thing like Jax was.
I'm gonna dump some more opinions here lol. I think murder drones and digital circus are opposites, in that murder drones was a very lore heavy show with not much character exploration. Digital circus is a character heavy show with only snippets of lore. Unfortunately for Goose, I think digital circus almost got off on the wrong foot, and attracted an audience it's not necessarily aimed at. It attracted the theorists, the people who are into lore and world building, when I don't think this was ever gooses intention, if i remember correctly. Goose has said this was always meant to be a more character focused show. But the lore that was teased in the pilot was interesting enough that it attracted a whole new audience of theorists. I think people are expecting huge fascinating lore behind this show, but imo i don't think we're necessarily gonna get that. I think maybe the final result lore-wise might not be as mind-blowing as they're expecting it to be. Plus, we also have to remember that goose already has all 9 episodes written. I don't think they're going to change the whole show to become more lore-based just cause thats what a lot of the fans are after. The show was always meant to be a character show, and that, it will remain. The thing with indie shows is that it allows a lot more creative freedom. Creators can do more of what they want, and are more free to reject certain criticisms, and keep thiings as much within their vision as possible. But this does mean that it won't always be optimised for the audience at large and won't always make everyone happy. This episode was certainly a change of pace for digital circus. I think the fast food adventure was just there to be a setting, to add context to gangles descent into mania and depression. I don't think we were ever meant to see the ins and outs of this adventure. After all, its meant to be boring. The adventure is meant to reflect real life working in fast food, and real life labour like that is slow, monotonous, repetitive, and quite frankly it would have just been a boring episode to watch, so it makes sense that we didn't see all the customers they served. The episode was more about gangle than it was about the adventure. This is a change of pace for the show, but i don't necessarily think it was bad. Had the episode been a bit more longer, maybe they could have added a bit more of the adventure itself in there to make it feel a little less abrupt of a change, but they're limited in their resources, so i understand that they have to stick to the important bits. I'll be interested to see if the future episodes continue on with this change of pace or if it will go back to how it was before. only time will tell!

Also, I'm pretty sure the fandom decided that Gangle and Zoobles ship name is Google...
