NY pizza is nowhere near as good as pizza in Italy, at least in my opinion. I live in NY and I’ve been to numerous places in Italy. One place is better than the next and I’ve never had a bad pizza in italy….. can’t say that about NY pizza. The dough is better, the sauce is better, the cheese is better…..

So what we do when traveling we see where the locals go. So we were by the Pantheon and behind and over one block is a stand up only pizza by the square. That was our first and best place we ate as we watched all the local workers come and go for dinner. We saw and ate at many while there, enventually we always came back to the first place. One year later we pass through Rome and decide to stop at our place. It had lots of tourist in the area and one of them told the people at our place that they were told this was the best place to come. Well the word must have gotten out and now their pizza was no longer as good as last year and had different people working. So some places might be the best one year and get overun with tourist and then the quality and love is gone and they are now just another big volume location and that is what youtube does to little establishments. They end up getting destroyed by tourist and they cant keep up with volume so they switch to canned goods and other processed foods. So when we find a little gem unforutunatley we keep it to ourselves.
I agree completely with you. Rome is a bit difficult for finding the best food for your money. That's why in Rome for the best food experience it's always good to step out of the core-city center, then you can find 60 year old or 90-100 year old restaurants, and other places which offer great food for normal prices as well.
Thet's true but only in the historic center of the city. Best pizza places are not in the historic center and 99% of the times are not in touristic zones.
I wish I was there! All the authentic pizza bars here have died off, only to be replaced by trendy, high-priced pizzas made from factory ingredients. Regrettably, people age and fail to pass on their standards and traditions to their disinterested offspring.
Yes, looks like a pizza capricciosa, a classical topping in Italy. By the way, in Italy there are traditional toppings which give a name to the pizza: you may have a pizza quattro stagioni, pizza margherita, pizza marinara, pizza diavola, pizza prosciutto e funghi, etc. Then there are topping made by pizza chefs, signature pizze and so on. No, pizza all’ananas is not in the party.
I think ananas pizza is horendous, worst thing someone could "invent" food-wise. I personally don't eat potato pizza, except with potato croquettes. But this is an Italian invention and Italian people like it obviously.
I would like to add the reason why the ananas pizza is bad. It is because Italians find disgusting the combination of an acidic fruit like ananas with the tomato sauce, which is also acidic. Some Italian chef says that you really really want pineapple on the pizza, you should combine it with cheese, and avoid tomato.
@@Bradamante68 That's true it's like an acidic bomb for your stomach, but I mean pineapple is a very sweet, acidic and juicy fruit putting it on pizza, is just not right for many reasons. It's ideal for fruit salad, but combining it with tomato sauce and ham on pizza just too much.

@@reubenatlantis5338 Hello! Great, I love Slovakia. Italy is a great choice, beautiful country, with amazing food. Pozdrav!
So, for that first pizza place that was selling slices do they charge per slice or by the weight of the pizza?
They weigh them, everything they cut for you they put on a scale.
The pizza looks beyond amazing 👍 Would you consider it superior tasting versus NY Pizza ??
I would have to try NY pizza to compare. It comes down to the dough first and foremost. Second thing are the ingredients.

You can still get the best pizzas where there aren't many tourists, but still outside. Everything else is mass production just for tourists
Why no chili oil added to those pizzas?! I love to add to mine when in Italy!
OTT pizza slices! 😂😂😂

Nothing without keeping with the tradition, and places which do that survive and offer something others can't.
In the first place, two piece of pizza 19 euro is expensive......
Very expensive, but that's the Rome's city center.
Wood fired is good but in my opinion nothing beats coal fired.
Depends what you wanna bake in them, for pizza the wood is the best.
Eggs dont seem to belong on that pizza
If you are referring to pizza capricciosa, eggs always go on that pizza, its one of the ingredients.
When in Italy, NEVER use the word PEPPERONI. Say salami instead.
Thanks for the correction, I will do so in the future.

No,pizza eating will bring diabetes mellitus 2 type as eating parathas in india.maida dough is the ingredient which brings it.
