It was like having pegasus's millennium eye playing ahead for like 3 turns loved the video bro! now do gx and finish in the best set of the time Gladiator's Assault.
Concerning Legacy of Darkness` lack of anime-appearing cards: Noah Kaiba did use the spirits (Yamata Dragon, Hino Kagu Tsuchi, Yata Garasu etc.) and Bakura used Ha Des vs Marik. Tyrant Dragon was used by Rex Raptor and Spear Dragon (Kaiba) and Luster Dragon (Rebekka) come to my mind as well. ;-)
Your Tier List is nearly identical to how I place these awesome sets. And yeah, no denying that Magician's Force had a TON of great cards. To this day, I still have a lot of these old cards that I pulled myself when they came out between LOB to AST. All those holos I own are in my collection with it's own dedicated spot. AST is where I fell off from Yu-Gi-Oh! but I still collected once in a while if cool cards related to the old days came up (like when Dragons of Legend was made). But now, after coming back into the game with full force, my collection is bigger than ever before!
Both Secrets from Pharonic Guardians are very anime-relevant, Ring of Destruction was a Kaiba card, and Lava Golem was an iconic Marik card against Joey; Nightmare Wheel was also Marik IIRC, etc.
Lava Golem was also Marik's ace monster in his first structure deck, I think But at the time people came after it just for Mirror Force. A fantastic concept of a card.
I always thought LOB should have been called Legend of Exodia. Everyone had a Blue-Eyes from the starter decks or tins, but a full Exodia set was unheard of. Collecting all 5 ultras from LOB was difficult and would literally make someone a legend!
26:46 - TCG censorship cheated us out of a *really* sick name for this card, too. His Japanese name translates to "Demon King of Thunderclap - Skull Daemon". 30:57 - Cyberdark Impact and Shadow Specters were easily just as bad if not worse. CDIP at least had Vanity's Fiend, SHSP had basically nothing.
Personally I’d put magicians force on a tier, it’s a good set but can’t be on the same level as lob and mrd. Apart from dark magician girl and dark paladin as the iconic cards what else does it have?

I personally don't consider Ancient Sanctuary to be a vintage set. I think that the OG era ends with IOC. AST feels more like SOD/RDS/FET where it's one of those weird sets that's not really DM but not quite GX either.

So many cards in the set made an appearance in the anime at different points of Yugis journey. Another big reason I love it. Overall I pretty much agree with you. Its crazy how me and my friends had most of these staples in their high rarity’s in the sets they came out in. We were 10,11,12 and had friends that were 15,16,17 and they would tell us about the banlist and would make sure all our trades were fair. I think we were betting cards and winning because most of our staples were from structure decks but i know we had alot of these and just dont remember winning them.
Its cool seeing that just dueling friends over and over that we already knew what the relevant cards were even at that age. This is an awesome video even though its about collecting. I just got back into the game almost a year ago. Love the content.

There's so many cool Marik cards in there like Helpoemer, Byser Shock, Rope of Life and Nightmare Wheel and of course Lava Golem. Even the Rares like Dark Jeroid and Newdoria are iconic cards for me. Question was used by Joey to summon Jinzo and Ring of Destruction is one of Kaiba's most iconic cards. Mirage of Nigthmare is also fun since it was played by Solomon Muto in his duel against Joey.

Nice video man. I think the reason Chaos Sorcerer was a common was because Konami wanted to give budget players a chance against the rich. Having all 3 broken chaos monsters as ultra/secret rares would have made it impossible to compete as a regular kid on the playground. As much as I would love an ultra IOC Chaos Sorcerer i really respect what konami chose to do there
I actually really like the artwork of the cards in ancient sanctuary. I think they capture the somewhat creepy ancient egypt/ancient mesopotamia theme really well.
I would have put IOC as a S tier, this set not only had great lineup of cards, this set literally changed the game, and was the reason the ban listed was created because of Chaos monsters in this set😳😳😳, I love the tier list still!
I'd put Invasion of Chaos on B list lol, the only relevant cards for me in that set are dmoc, emperor dragon and black luster soldier. That's it. I remember opening a 1st edition box around 5 years ago. The amount of money I lost was just insane 😂 there was literally nothing relevant

I think you need to reevaluate the anime prominence of pharaonic guardian. A lot of the Ultras and lava golem were all used by Marik in the series. Arguably the best villian in the series. They have significant anime prominence I would say.
I think you need to rank their playability on the meta from how the game was when they came out, not on a specific format. It gives a more accurate representation of if the cards were meta or playable.
Good video idea and agree with a lot. I personally have LON and LOD higher and MRL, MFC lower. MFC to me is top heavy, most of the foils are meh, then you have DMG, Paladin and Breaker. Also Tribe is in there too. Otherwise all the others aren't overly interesting. S tier too high on that basis, especially when other sets were pinged for the same flaws MFC has. IOC has CED, BLS, DMAC, Dimension Fusion which is already more than MFC but still described as top heavy? Also has Compulsory Evac which is still printed to this day, as well as Mataza, Fenrir, Soul Absorbtion, Cursed Seal, Manju etc. Lots of meta relevant cards and a badass name and artwork. I always loved MRD, LON, LOD then PSV etc but IOC still needs to be up there 😅 But yeah, enjoyed the video and love debating this stuff haha. Keep up the good content 👍
