Well done Todd, its going to look great when its done. Theres a market for this, if you can get the design and construction optimized and the measurements exact you could sell a bunch of these.
Cheers mate, yeah I am not professional fabricator so I could never sell on my own product and be too proud of it, but perhaps a V2 rear bar might warrant selling the old one for cheap haha
Thanks buddy! The original designs I actually penned out and drew with dimensions became redundant within a day of actually making the thing, so you would get more accurate information by making a rough sketch of the design I did and putting your own dimensions on it.
My rear bumper is always eating dirt, my driver side mud flap panel is cracked in half. I don't have the skills or tools to make my own and no many rear bars are out there for a good price :(
Yeah I used to have that problem too. A good solution is to trim the rear bumper up and out of harms way. Makes a big difference with not pulling off bumpers and flares offroad
Hi todd :) I've a question about your driveshafts !! A lot of people told me that my driveshaft doesn't like the lift i've made i think they r not higher than yours! Did you got some trouble with ?
Haha yeah people will tell you that. If you drive with mechanical sympathy then they will last. Im yet to break one due to the lift, and I wheel pretty hard
I think this bar is a bloody work of art mate. Would love to make one just like this one one day for my 120
Thanks Todd. Great to see you challenging yourself so much learning new skills. Can't wait for Part 3 and to see the car.
Cheers Ian. Shouldn't be too far off now.
Great work mate! It just goes to show how you don't need all the tools to get things done. Just some resourcefulness and creativity, you're sorted.
Thanks mate!

I installed mine last year and it looks mint.#prado120#gxl#rear wheel carrier.love it what you doing.

Nice work, I have got a raptor kit sitting around looking at using in on my new bonnet..
Looking great!! So when can we download the design pattern? LOL! Sharing is caring!! That will be a nice "lockdown" project for me!
