  • Easy Candied Walnuts are simple to make and spiked with spice! Serve as a snack, an addition to a charcuterie board or to top a salad.
    -------------------------------------FULL RECIPE BELOW------------------------------------------------
    Ingredients
▢2 cups walnut halves and pieces
    ▢1 large egg white
    ▢1/3 cup light brown sugar
▢1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste, I use Nielsen-Massey
    ▢1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    Instructions
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, mix together the nuts, egg white, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon until well blended. Spread the nuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Transfer the baking sheet to a wire rack to cool completely. Break the nuts apart and store in an airtight container for up to 7 days.

@@TheSuburbanSoapbox 11/26/23 UPDATE: Well, I made it, Kellie, and OMG, it came out SO gosh darn good that it was gone by the next day - and trust me, I made a BIG batch! Now that I know what I'm doing, I'm going to be making more and packaging them in cellophane for gifts, you know, with ribbons on top and a tag to boot, the whole enchilada, so they look pretty! They're going to be a crowd pleasure for sure and my family and friends are gonna love me for it. This is so wonderful, thanks to you! 🤗 I'm gonna try your Snickerdoodle recipe, next. 😋

Depending on how spicy you like your food, I'd start with just 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. If it were for me, I like things spicy, I would add at least 1/2 teaspoon. You'll add it with the other spices and then toss your nuts with the sauce.
