If I'm being quite honest, and I think I speak for a large part of the audience, we don't come back for some series, or to watch you get better. I'm here, subscribed to this channel because I enjoy seeing your take on different things in league of legends. Your gameplay commentary, even when repetitive is ultimately entertaining, and in my opinion pioneered the way other you tubers create their highlight videos. Your analysis videos are always well thought out, edited, and argued. I look forward to what is to come and thank you for being such a great youtube who is devoted to establishing a better connection with his audience.
Darkai Xeno no, it's not his original idea, he just became aware that it was an option to do so but trin didn't come up with it first of all, He just made it public, second the difference with these ideas of completing leauge is more like rating for gbay with reach tier 5 on all champs while richboi trinmortal plays the skinns of each champion so no it will work for gbay aswell because he's not skilled with all champs but more entertaining ^^ thanks for reading, fk off grammar nazis and have a nice day :)
I don't come back for any specific series, I just enjoy seeing your take on anything and everything you feel like talking about. You should feel proud of getting to Diamond, it's still a great achievement! Although Completing League gets me H A R D
Hey GBay, if it makes you feel any better about your switch in focus, I subscribed because of your original insightful look into league and other e-sports, the industry behind them, the history, deep focuses on specific aspect. THAT'S what I love about this channel. If I wanted to watch a person grind games to become the highest ranked player, there are so many more channels and twitch stream devoted to that, and of course there's a number of them that are better than your own R2D/M. HOWEVER, in my scouring of the web, I have failed to see a channel that as insightful and focused on SPECIFIC and often times obscure areas of a game I love. That, I think, is the market that you have, and can continue to dominate; not the constant grinding of videos. I know you used qtpie as an example of people that do episodic videos very well, but I think that his personality is much more suited to that than yours. Not that your personality is a square brick, but I think naturally you are much more analytical person and however hard you may try, I don't think you have the natural comedic sense that a daily episodic series requires. In conclusion, I think this is a step in the right direction for you, I'd love to see a return to roots in more analytical styled videos, that DON'T have to be daily. I think the rush to put out videos lowers the overall quality, and with your personality, stresses you out, because as I think you've said before, you like to be proud of the work you put out, and it's hard to be proud of a daily episodic video you put out hoping it would merely satisfy your subscriber base. I think stretching out your production cycle could help you do the research and analysis that I see in the videos I truly enjoy and subscribed for and I wish you the best of luck finding topics and making content that YOU want to produce. Sincerely, Pricetbird, a fan P.S. I think a good example of a video that you could do is how attack speed scaling works in league, you touched on it briefly in the Kennan video and I had no idea that the base stat worked like that. P.S.S. It also doesn't have to be entirely league related videos, I enjoy hearing about the industry at large and other MOBAs and I believe that branching out a little could certainly expand your reach from the League of Legends guy to a general E-Sports guy and maybe eventually just a video game industries guy. P.S.S.S. If you even read all this I applaud you, and would like to know what you thought. I hope all finds you well and in good health. T. Price
pricetbird I think this comment best sums up my feelings about gbay. He really needs to see this, because I honestly think he's better at informing us about league in videos than trying to entertain through his own gameplay. There are others who are suited towards being the best, some who are great at wacky and dumb ways to play league as entertainment value, and then there are the educational channels. The closest thing to gbay imo is phylol, but even his style feels completely different. Whereas phylol talks a lot about what's hot in the meta and how certain changes will affect us, I think gbay is very good at analyzing aspects of the game. Gbay, if you read this (just a suggestion), you could try doing a series once every one or two weeks where you find something cool that was played in NA/EU LCS that worked well and then go in depth as to why it worked. Could be a specific pick, team comp, way that a team played fights. Kind of like The Breakdown, but more focused on the game as a whole rather than one specific moment. Could be kinda fun. I love all of your vids gbay, you're the best!
Gbay, i really hope you read this guys comment, i'm commenting to make the chain more noticeable. I think he has a great point and you should take the information to heart.
I agree Gbay, I just want to warn you, it seems like your falling into a trap you were in about half a year ago to. Ill call it the SkyWilliams trap, where your whole channel just becomes about what "type" of content and video you want to make and why your not making them. Rather then actual... you know... content. I look forward to your change in focus just make sure your videos are that change in focus, and not just you talking about it. DEAR GOD, don't have your next video be you responding to all the idiot commenters who are all saying "you just weren't good enough, blah blah blah".
I totally agree. For me gbay is like synonime for quality youtuber of league of legends when most make generic content (still fun but generic). Also for all the dumbies here "you dont quit, you are just bad" his mindset is still so much better than some claiming to trying to get to masters (hi Red) i am sure he would get it before those some. Gbay some nice words for you: 1. you are way too harsh on yourself, all make mistakes and you can get to understand them, that is worth mentioning 2. people who say dumb stuff are not your viewers - they are your haters 3. from my very personal experience almost always doing the thing that you "feel" is better rather than one that is percieved as "rational" by majority not beeing aware of anything. Beeing true to yourself is difference between good and really good. 4. I will deffinitelly watch you still.
Gbay, I think that your content before you even started road to diamond was amazing, things like "00:00, birth of a..." and some of the other, more experimental videos. Even though I like watching your league videos, and learn from them a lot, I still look at your channel often to see if you've posted another experimental video, hoping that maybe, just maybe, you have.
Relatable. People don't understand that master + players devote a lot of time to this game. In order to compete with that you have to also put in a lot of time which in turn cuts into your video editing time, and your real life time. With anything, the people at the top are people who invest entirely into that one thing, so if you want to keep a balanced life style, good luck getting to the top 0.04% of anything. Sad but true.
not everyone have oppurtinity to be paid just for the sake of playing ranked games but hes bad and denial, i didnt got cent for getting master he thou can pay off his bills just putting his gameplay the problem is for me and many other player that dont have privelage that hes liar and this entire video is bs. people really dont need to put that much time he already have more time played than each d1 d2 master and challenger player in every server thats maybe why he quit cuz he cant climb.
You dont need to invest that much time to be masters, AT ALL. I used to duoQ all the time and not rly care if I climb or not, when I wanted to climb, I did. Gbay has 1200 games this season, starting from D5. That is enough time to improve. He just didn't use his time for shit. He plays the game brainlessly. When he starts to learn from his mistakes, he will climb. Playing 1 or 20 games a day just makes the process slower/faster.
I don't think I can speak for the entire audience as some have in these comments, but personally, I enjoy the critical thinking and completing league type videos way more than road to masters. Additionally, I came to the channel a million years ago not because of the game play, but because of the educational and insightful content
Gbay, ffs, I watched u talk about silverware for 15 minutes and enjoyed it. I'll prolly enjoy whatever u make. Pls upload videos daily if its not to hard work, I would love it. hope u see this, Love ur vids. Hugs from Sweden
This right here. I just genuinely enjoy your content, your attitude, your drive. I can day for certain, as long as you're enjoying what you do, and making videos there will be a part of your fan base that isn't going anywhere.
YES! I don't see how can they be unfun becuz ur just playing different champions everytime, in normals, re-learning champions u once played, but now don't and so on.
Agree! R2M was a fun start, but beating the League was so much fun and gave viewers an opportunity to see other champions w/o buying them or waiting for a Free-Pick... or just because they wonder what this champ is like, but don't really want to play the champ themselves.
Well, what I can take from this thread is that people agree with me. I think I'd like to see input on shifting roles ie top to jungle. as you touched on it a while ago
i would watch a series of him just exploring the lower ranks, maybe make a smurf account where he plays offmeta or something and just have fun, i really hate this depressed Gbay we have at this moment, every video he makes are just him talking shit about himself.
"I am unable to get master because of my low skill and how I have capped out, I lack the emotional stability, mechanics, game sense, etc to achieve this rank, therefore I will tell myself that by saying I don't want this I will feel better about my lackluster skill level with the volume of games I have. It makes me feel better because I don't have to admit I am simply just really bad".
This is an incredibly honest and self aware move on your part. I never really saw much of your road to masters videos but I'll really keep close watch on your content. Consider me interested in this new direction. +subbed
Not leaving any time soon. I don't come for RtM I come to learn. You teach many that don't wish to learn but you have made me leaving bronze a HELL of a lot easier. I'm much busier now and i can rarely play but whenever I do, I can tell where i need improving. All cause you. Thank you.
well, the reason why I was watching this channel over some other is just that you are super emotional, so to me it will just improve the quaiity of the channel anyway. Please continue making some chill videos of gameplay sometimes, they are cool =P
Hi gbay. I think that this is going to be a good change for both you and your channel. I have now watched your videos for about six months and I have loved almost everything you put out. Everything from completing league to all of your educational videos.I even watched some of your older videos and I loved them. you even made me buy and read the art of war and I hate reading. I feel like the road to masters was the only thing that held you back because of the stress, the tilt and the fear of deranking. So I just want to say thank you for everything you i have learned from you or you every time you have made me laugh and good luck on the journey.
Thank you for being done with that series. I personally skipped pretty much all of these videos, mostly because I'm struggling int he same rank (Diamond 5 here) and it was just frustrating for me to watch those. I really don't need to feel the same frustration of me dropping to D5 again and again. Just like you said. Looking forward to your awesome content.
gbay i must tell you that i enjoyed your "road to" series alot and that i have watched every episode since the beginning, so thanks for the amazing content! It still makes me a bit sad that the series is over just like that, from one day to the next. But what's more important is that you are happy and enjoy what you're doing. With that being said, take care gbay. I hope you find lots of happiness just like i did when i found your channel :)
The ups and downs of your channel and how much you share of your personal thoughts is what makes me love your videos so much. As long as you keep this up you'll always be entertaining to me.
I really respect this decision; I could really tell how much the pressure of trying to hit masters was getting to you. Can't wait to see what you do next on your channel. And you don't have to give up your goal of climbing, you just get to focus on other things primarily. Love your content, love what you do, love ya babe. Keep being you.
If anything, I actually really like watching your videos that aren't road to masters, like your recent wave management video and titanic one helped me out a lot. Keep up the good work :)
i think the best thing u could do is making complete league videos every now and then to fill up time when ur making videos that take more effort so that it doesnt take 1 month between every upload. love u gbay and everything u do
You really do help us a lot in my opinion, i feel like my play style has become more mature and organised since i started watching your vids last year. Specially my Yorick 😅 you made me realise how strong he is and how he can carry games even if you dont build to split push (i like to build him more like a bruiser, so i can 1v2 easier. Just pop the maiden and focus her target!)
It's okay to just say you aren't good enough. Not trying to be mean, or a troll, or whatever. But you just have not shown any improvement at all in my opinion. Your growth is very minimal, and your mistakes are still there. Anyone watching could tell you this. But if you simply don't want to try anymore, that's okay too. lol.
Does it matter? Did you get offended because he things himself better than what he is? Like the rest of the whole league of legends playerbase? He won't make it, true, but doesn't matter at all xD He doesn't wanna do it anymore, which is the message that really matters. He will create different content, and i believe that this is the reason why many left, including myself. It's boring, unoriginal, and frankly not interesting at all.
Hey Gbay, first of all glad to hear this news. It was obvious that this road to masters was tilting you so hard, and that it wasn't good for you or the channel, so glad to hear it's over. Second though, I completely disagree with your assessment about getting to challenger/master and holding it. First, you said that you have to be familiar with the meta and play what's the strongest to get Master or Challenger, and also that being "good at the game at a base level" isn't good enough anymore. Completely disagree with those two things. Being good at the game on a base level is probably the all around most important thing to climbing. Also, there are plenty of master/challenger players that one trick or mainly play things that aren't in the current meta, and they get to master or challenger just by doing that. Yes, you showed a chogath example, but you didn't show any of the other champions that are never considered meta that do climb all the way up.. Next, you said that you have to play "a lot, 10+ games a day" to get to master or challenger... and that just isn't true either. Of course, you were highlighting full time streamers as this example, and that really isn't fair. There are people who only play maybe 3-4 games in a day, maybe a few days in a week, that still get challenger. An easy example of this is Boxer Pete. He just got challenger recently and he hardly plays the game like you were describing. Although, of course there are people who do nothing but play league from the time they get home, until they sleep, but you can say the same about ANY ELO, I just don't think it's a fair point though because there are people who play less who climb better than others because they are just that good. I think there are times when you just have to admit that some people have the right type of brains for this kind of game, and it makes them better players than others. It isn't all just about spamming games, there is more to climbing than just that, there are people who spam games all season and never make it out of silver(of course they have a better chance though).. but that's not all there is to it, and I felt like that was how you were basically treating it in this video. The players in challenger and master just know the game well, they are actively thinking and processing information about the current matchup, the other lanes, where the enemies are, etc, and their decision making is just on a higher level overall, consistently. As well as just having that higher "brain capacity" for this kind of game to be able to process all of that, and react to it faster.
i love your content, personally i love your completing league videos so much more than your road to diamond. but i found you in your first road to diamond. whatever content you make i'm looking forward to still watching you!
Yay! I personally stopped watching when you switched to just putting out road to master. Glad you're coming back to good content. I think you're completely wrong about the career decision. I think r2m is *why* you're declining, and this will really help.
SirNate Agree. I am more baited to click your other videos. Your videos may have been on a decline, but I think the attempt was worth it. Can't have every segment beat the previous one
be the first streamer to daily play ARAMS, Twisted treeline, and rotating gamemodes! I'm getting tired of only seeing league youtubers in Diamond and Challanger, bring me a streamer who plays the 'fun' gamemodes only xd
I think I do not care what kind of content you produce exactly. I like the way you think and how you elaborate on that. Also, even though I barely play League anymore, I'd watch you anytime - just to have a wonderful day.
that is not exactly what he said, you just understood incorrectly. I am too lazy to explain what he actually meant so I guess you'll never know the true meaning behind what he said, oh well.
Tell that to some people who are hardstuck bronze for multiple seasons now and you'll get some interesting responses to say the least. It's a factor. That much I'll agree.
I'd personally love to see the return of completing league. I know it was way more work than it was worth, but the completing Maokai video was one of my favorite videos you've made. It was amazing to watch your perspective change and even though I don't play league anymore, seeing it through your eyes as you progress and change is still amazingly entertaining. My interest in youtube channels generally shifts pretty dramatically over time, but I've been subscribed to you for many years and I've never not been excited to see one of your videos. Do whatever you want and I'll be here with you till the end. P.S. I sure hope I remembered the right completing league episode and I don't look like a total idiot
One of the most sincere videos i ve seen from a youtuber. Gbay, even though you 're too harsh about your content, i'm sure the videos you're gonna make are gonna be much greater if you enjoy the process and put yourself in them.
More completing league. But don't feel like you have to finish an entire champion in a single episode. Maybe have 1 episode to go from level 1-4 and then 1 episode to go from 4-5.
Kære Gbay. I started watching thy videos back when thee had just released the league-teaching based on sun tzu. A long time ago.. Still some of the most interesting gaming-related videos I've ever watched. Thank you for that experience. It sounds like you're might be returning - not that in particular - but to something like the old innovative-quality gbay. Thats cool (y). I support that. Hilsner fra DK.
mad respect to you for making this decision a lot of youtubers do something they don't want to just cause It's doing well or their audience demands it so a lot of respect to you for knowing what you really want
what youre saying is simply not true. what you have to do in order to get to masters and higher is really just becoming good at the fundamentals. you dont have to learn the meta necessarily, you have to cs perfectly look at your minimap consistently have good positioning and decisionmaking. while the last 2 of these is impacted by the meta a little bit, you just have learn it like once for a season or twice if theres a big class update or something. there are a lot of players i know that can get to challenger after huge breaks without ever being stuck in say diamond 5, to me it just sounds like a bad excuse because in reality you dont want to imrpove but you just like the idea of being good
MrCool1187 i got to master with 1 game per day and held that until end of season with 1 game per week. (then they changed decay system for masters and challenger and i couldn't play that much sadly). I think your point is very true
It's funny i didn't see any op.gg links to any of the commenters who talk about all the people they know or how easy it was for themselves to get to master/challenger aka being the top .03% players...
im not masters myself, im currently rollercoastering from diamond 1 to diamond 5 massively depending on my mood, motivation and of course a little bit of luck. if you want my account data i ll share it with you privately but i do not want random people knowing my account name and being able to correlate it to my youtube id because i use the same email adress
We don't mind what time of content you realise because its YOU that we enjoy. HOWEVER, if you want to focus on content, try experimenting with different editing styles until you find something YOU enjoy, and eventually you'll attract a fan base that will accept you for what you are happy with. Ive been here since ep 1 of road to diamond nearly a year ago, and I'm not quitting any time soon. Im, we're, here with ya all the way man! We believe in you!!
Bringing back the Completing League series seems like a good idea, mainly due to it being able to widen and strengthen your champion pool, making you more flexible in solo queue, and learning more about how they work etc. I approve, and don't stress yourself out too much, you're always doing that. :
he is right thought he dont need to grind hes just too bad this game isnt some kind of mmo you know that? if you are good you need to win 7 games in a row and get higher easy as it is, but the more he plays the worst win rate he gets its more likely that he get down to p1 than d4 eune.op.gg/summoner/userName=wczonsik compare amount of games i have then add that its not even about our leauge and he got paid big amounts to play ranked if anyone who do it just to challenge themselve had been paid it would be challenger but i cant afford even to play 500 ranks not even saying about 1.1k xd
Gbay99, I know you may never see this, but I know I will still love your videos from the bottom of my heart, heck my favorite videos weren't from the road to diamond series or the road to masters series, my favorites were when you talked to us, like on a vlog, or like the one where you talked about titanic, I thought that was really well put together, and also really informative for me being in bronze 2 or even placements at the time, so still keep making upload to help bronzies like us.
Whatever you said about grinding games everyday to reach Masters or Challenger just isn't true. Look at BoxerPete he only plays 3 games per day and he's still in Masters. Stop making excuses and just try your best to climb through. Don't stop the series.
Gbay, The reason I am your sub for how many years god knows was because of your Art at War videos. For me those were the best videos that you ever made. But they arent the only ones that i watch (since i am still around thats kinda obvious). I didnt like road to masters all that much but still watched it. But the videos that i mostly like are the ones informative and educational. Keep up the good work
Stopped watching after you made the chogath point: You consistently used and abused camille/irelia through your climb. What part of them aren't meta? As long as tank items are relevant, and trinity/bork/titanic are doing well, camille/irelia don't fall off meta, even if they're not competitively viable. A meta pony standing up for a non meta pick as an excuse for not climbing is hypocrisy at it's finest. Not hating, but what you're saying translates to "This game has proven to not be mentally healthy for me any more, because of my shortcomings, and I need to quit before I have any more meltdowns". And I don't get why you want to quit doing the series that makes your channel non-linear: eventually your content's going to be redundant, repetitive stuff. You know what you need? You need to go listen to LS, give him 2 or so of your replays, and actually learn the game at a much bigger scale and start your climb with a new mindset. Otherwise you'll bleed viewers at least quarter of the rate of FineBros. Lets get it straight, you don't have the charisma of tobias, nor are your stream highlights as high level as some of the viewers here. You're already diamond, abuse that position instead of getting butthurt. And stop being a dramaqueen.
I respect the decission, but you seriously need to stop lying to yourself and your viewers. As master tier player I can tell it does not require spamming a lot of games and you can use niche picks for the right situations, picking the right champion for the match is also a part of the game... Getting masters requires focusing on improvement and learn about more than just 2 champions and one role! There is absolutely nothing wrong with being bad/not good enough to get masters, but it is not cool to throw out fake excuses just to try and make yourself and others feel better about you. That is why people lose respect for you.
John Homes he's literally saying "guys, I'm not good enough to get masters, and to *get* good enough I need to grind the game out to a point where I don't enjoy it anymore". What's wrong with that? It's almost like league is a game and people actually want to have fun playing it.
Except he's literally not saying anything about his skill. The entire video was about his "desire" or "want" of Masters anymore. It's simply that he's not good enough. His frustration stems from the fact he's not capable of climbing on his own -- not that he doesn't "want it" enough. He's poured in something like 6 or 7 years into the game and thousands of hours. He's wanted it long enough to make a judgment on his ability in comparison to the most elite in the game.
I enjoy when you play different Champions and talk about how to play them. I don't really care if it is ranked or not. I stopped playing once I got to ranked and it took the fun out of the game. But now that i play again for fun I like seeing the different ways to play a champion.
They reason i started watching you was "The Art of League" because it was never before seen content, original and actually really really cool to compare. But I never saw something similar after that from you. I personally don't watch people trying to climb, trying just to stream and play the game. I like well thought through content. But thats only my 2cents.
You are afraid of the 10 year old that shit talk u, but u shouldnt, most of your fans are normal ppl who enjoy watching u, so keep the good work up and do what you enjoy
it's not that he's "bad" per say as opposed to not being just "good enough". he legit just said that he's decided he doesn't WANT it. without wanting something, there's no way to achieve it. He wasn't having fun and ended up only tilting because of it and couldn't get himself in the right mindset.
well he doesnt want it because it would take him too much time per day practicing /playing so he would be good enough to make it, so therefore he is too bad right now?
Have some confidence in your decisions Gbay! It's nice that you are considerate enough to explain why you do what you do to your audience but you shouldn't feel like you need to defend yourself. That being said I would love to see more completing league or anything else you come up with in the following months, and respect your decision to end road to masters
Gbay. I just came back to visit your channel, and watched this video. It has been a while since I've seen a video of yours. The reason I think is because I quit league for a while. But I've come back to it. Stronger than ever. Been playing since S2 and always found the same joy as you explained. Getting better. Your videos did that for me. I grew. I grew to rank higher, enjoy the game more, and take in league content more effectively. As I take league more seriously again. One major thing I've wanted to do is catch up on your stuff. I'm glad you are self aware enough to keep yourself happy. Self love is important. (So stop betraying yourself so much). I love your content, and I can't express how happy I am that your still making it. I'm gonna give watching your streams a look. So I'll be there. Stay positive Gbay. You got this.
hey gbay i dont play league anymore but ur the only league channel i still watch and i end up keep rewatching the old rtd series. The first rtd is the best vids uve made and i wish that u could still make game commentaries. i know the recent vids werent as great but i still havent missed a single video since i subed to you bc i love hearing your voice and seeing you talk :). looking forward to the next vid
Good for you man. You do what you think is best. I think Diamond is a good place for you, you've busted your ass to get there and you deserved it. You can still be successful there. I watched you eat a sock, talk about silverware, and like 3 of your videos were talking about anime on your other channel. Do fun stuff, man. It's all good.
I feel you because that's where I am too with my videos. Putting out daily videos AND grinding away in Ranked can be hard because you either grind out and get Diamond, but your videos can suffer, or put lots of time into your videos, and not grind. Pretty sure if I grinded some ranked I'd be higher than I am now though not much because I'd also need skill and to not be homeless, but those are just excuses, like ping, but I'd rather entertain and do things like the recent Jinx Rap I made so whatever. Good luck man.
I thought you just gave up, but you have a valid point and I fully understand. Don't be afraid to change direction of your channel, I am sure people will come if you'll do original things :)
Exactly this
David Kroll Same
nope all about the game play
This guy needs more upvodes, push him up
yea i agree 100%
Completing league was and is a really good concept. You will always have different content because every episode revolves around a different champion.
^^
+1
Isnt that trinimmortals thing? I cant see it going too well with other league content creators than him.
Just my personal opinion but I get insta bored when I see him pick Irelia. She may be fun to play, but not that much fun to watch.
I don't come back for any specific series, I just enjoy seeing your take on anything and everything you feel like talking about. You should feel proud of getting to Diamond, it's still a great achievement!
Although Completing League gets me H A R D
Exact same here
Besides the getting hard
1 week later
hey welcome back guys to road to masters episode 179
episode 234 hardstuck plat V again??? Kappa
Sincerely,
Pricetbird, a fan
I hope all finds you well and in good health.

pricetbird I think this comment best sums up my feelings about gbay.
Why isn't this top comment. I agree 100% !
yes
Yes I feel like finally he'll be going back to his older and original style of videos of which I and many other of his old subscribers enjoy!
Gbay some nice words for you:
1. you are way too harsh on yourself, all make mistakes and you can get to understand them, that is worth mentioning
2. people who say dumb stuff are not your viewers - they are your haters
3. from my very personal experience almost always doing the thing that you "feel" is better rather than one that is percieved as "rational" by majority not beeing aware of anything. Beeing true to yourself is difference between good and really good.
4. I will deffinitelly watch you still.
Gbay I think we all love you the way you are :)
I think we have more fun when YOU are.
it's undeniable
Sad but true.
i'm suprised no one commented back xD
haha its cuz I commented longer after he uploaded when people had already seen it :D
well I'll gladly be the first to reply :D
not everyone have oppurtinity to be paid just for the sake of playing ranked games but hes bad and denial, i didnt got cent for getting master he thou can pay off his bills just putting his gameplay the problem is for me and many other player that dont have privelage that hes liar and this entire video is bs. people really dont need to put that much time he already have more time played than each d1 d2 master and challenger player in every server thats maybe why he quit cuz he cant climb.
I'm in the same boat basically and I think gbay underestimates how many of us aren't here for road to master.
Same.
Gbay, ffs, I watched u talk about silverware for 15 minutes and enjoyed it. I'll prolly enjoy whatever u make. Pls upload videos daily if its not to hard work, I would love it. hope u see this, Love ur vids. Hugs from Sweden
not everyone would.
Well you certainly live up to your name
EdgyAsFck everyone who would not can just gtfo and don't watch his videos. It's so easy
This right here. I just genuinely enjoy your content, your attitude, your drive. I can day for certain, as long as you're enjoying what you do, and making videos there will be a part of your fan base that isn't going anywhere.
Ayy I'm in Sweden rn on vacation, beautiful place
I love the "Completing League" series I hope you keep that going! :D
YES! I don't see how can they be unfun becuz ur just playing different champions everytime, in normals, re-learning champions u once played, but now don't and so on.
Please make more beating League.
Every episode feels so satisfying :)
Yes!!
Agree! R2M was a fun start, but beating the League was so much fun and gave viewers an opportunity to see other champions w/o buying them or waiting for a Free-Pick... or just because they wonder what this champ is like, but don't really want to play the champ themselves.
PLEASE do this
a good series for the git gud part of gbay with less tilt
Well, what I can take from this thread is that people agree with me.
I think I'd like to see input on shifting roles ie top to jungle. as you touched on it a while ago
I play league to deteriorate my mental state
i haven't seen a gbay99 video in my sub box for about 5 or 6 months... this is the video RUclips decides i need to see lol
hit the bell button family you'll be notified of every video
hahahaha family
#BringBackTheRandomChampButton
OlEurolO pls
didt know it was gone lol
But it is back....
Severezz where?
Yeah where?
You could do a series where you play from unranked to diamond... but playing a random role and a random champion each game
That would be really cool...maybe he could make a poll for the next vid in the series for us to pick the champs
GREAT idea!
Sebastián Raiquen Parisi That is Huzzy Games for you :3
i would watch a series of him just exploring the lower ranks, maybe make a smurf account where he plays offmeta or something and just have fun, i really hate this depressed Gbay we have at this moment, every video he makes are just him talking shit about himself.
Sebastián Raiquen Parisi You mean how Phylol and everybody else do it
Do what you love, do it at your own pace. Your true viewers will remain as long as you do so.
Yeah! That's what's up!
is your profile pic a yu gi oh card?
Yes it's Moray Of Greed
what does pot of greed do?
I think it makes you draw 2 extra cards
"I am unable to get master because of my low skill and how I have capped out, I lack the emotional stability, mechanics, game sense, etc to achieve this rank, therefore I will tell myself that by saying I don't want this I will feel better about my lackluster skill level with the volume of games I have. It makes me feel better because I don't have to admit I am simply just really bad".
We all know he's stopping cuz he can't get masters
can you?
Does it matter?
FUCKING SOLID MEME BOY NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE
Altus Mouton he never said he can gbay just dosent admit he can't get masters
exactly what i thought
You are one of the few people who still puts out even remotely original content. Any video you put out in my opinion is a good video. Keep it up.
road to masters
Never clicked off of grannies gone wild so quick
i think it'd be fun to see unranked to diamond series with different champs, off meta etc
Yes!
Agreed :P
FIRST
City i ever visited was *England*

*reads title, 'Congrats on reaching Masters'
I will watch your videos even if you make videos about grasshoppers
Chino Wantan or how to eat my shirts -Bart Simpson
yup :D
me, this comment deserves more
I mean, people watched him eat a sock, so it should be obvious by now
same tho
plz do more completing league
Completing league would be nice :D
gbay i must tell you that i enjoyed your "road to" series alot and that i have watched every episode since the beginning, so thanks for the amazing content!
Do more complete legue episodes. :D
DrSassy what anime is ur profile from, I feel like I've seen it before
I don't relly know.. I got it from serching anime .
DrSassy it's from deviantart
ok then
please edit "legue" to league.
hi
Sorry for bad england
So simple and yet so good.
It's not england, it's englanderino.
sorry for bad *my city*
420 Blazeit better fix your city
Actually made me laugh
If I had a penny for every time someone said "I'm done with league this" or "league that"...
Keep up the good work :)
i think the best thing u could do is making complete league videos every now and then to fill up time when ur making videos that take more effort so that it doesnt take 1 month between every upload. love u gbay and everything u do
:) we'll watch you no matter what~
I'm Done with Road to Master >> Pays LS to coach him
You really do help us a lot in my opinion, i feel like my play style has become more mature and organised since i started watching your vids last year. Specially my Yorick 😅 you made me realise how strong he is and how he can carry games even if you dont build to split push (i like to build him more like a bruiser, so i can 1v2 easier. Just pop the maiden and focus her target!)
Whatever you put out I'm definitely gonna watch it, I subscribed for your personality and quality.
Get a life :=)
K :)
Nelekets the
Bullshit, look at Boxerpete. Plays 2-3games per day and always gets challenger for the end of the season with only trynd at that.
Hyoketsu and annie bot exc.
Galaxelen annie bot spam plays what the fk are you talking about hahahaha
He still only plays annie and manages to get to challenger, with annie. Not tryndamere, not riven. ANNIE
Galaxelen annie is a good champ
Annie is Annie
i love your content, personally i love your completing league videos so much more than your road to diamond. but i found you in your first road to diamond. whatever content you make i'm looking forward to still watching you!
I really like how you explain your reasoning when you make decisions regarding your content and such. It makes your reasoning much more understandable
oh hey Dunkey
jk love you
SlayedByPrayee Sniping this
SlayedByPrayee Sniping
yes please
Uberdanger? xDDDD
hots
rip his channel if he does that.
This might be the change you need man, I know you will have a better experience in leage, just keep going man! WE SUPPORT YOUUU
I think I do not care what kind of content you produce exactly. I like the way you think and how you elaborate on that. Also, even though I barely play League anymore, I'd watch you anytime - just to have a wonderful day.
"Imaqtpie sucks hes only challenger because he plays all day evryday"
~gbay99
that is not exactly what he said, you just understood incorrectly. I am too lazy to explain what he actually meant so I guess you'll never know the true meaning behind what he said, oh well.
Taart32 He didn't say QT wasn't good.
He said that QT would drop in rating, if he stopped grinding games everyday. (which is true)
You guys got baited :^)
Tell that to some people who are hardstuck bronze for multiple seasons now and you'll get some interesting responses to say the least.
It's a factor. That much I'll agree.
and youre prob gold 5
I mean you wont stop trying to rank up, if you advance in division you will say something like it is all thank to- playing to have fun.
After playing a few games with you, I knew you were hard stuck anyway :p
I thought this was Redmercy's video
Hvlane Metal 😂
More completing league. But don't feel like you have to finish an entire champion in a single episode. Maybe have 1 episode to go from level 1-4 and then 1 episode to go from 4-5.
Lowkey might be bc he has a 50% wr with 1100 games yikes
Uhm, who doesnt?
You know that you literally have to trick the system somehow to have anything higher than that, right?
"I don't want this" more like "I can't do this"
Did we really need an 8 min video on this
what youre saying is simply not true. what you have to do in order to get to masters and higher is really just becoming good at the fundamentals. you dont have to learn the meta necessarily, you have to cs perfectly look at your minimap consistently have good positioning and decisionmaking. while the last 2 of these is impacted by the meta a little bit, you just have learn it like once for a season or twice if theres a big class update or something. there are a lot of players i know that can get to challenger after huge breaks without ever being stuck in say diamond 5, to me it just sounds like a bad excuse because in reality you dont want to imrpove but you just like the idea of being good
MrCool1187 i got to master with 1 game per day and held that until end of season with 1 game per week. (then they changed decay system for masters and challenger and i couldn't play that much sadly). I think your point is very true
Yeah gbay just doesn't have the mentality to be a masters player tbh.
Tl;dr or get good team mates
It's cause you're hardstuck D5 LMAO
not on gbays side but your prob hardstuck silver tbh just with the way you act
Official_Kreep actually I'm not I can easily make it out of D5
Youre right man. All these fckers standing up for him are probably as hard stuck as him or probably lower elo lol.
"not on gbays side but your prob hardstuck silver tbh just with the way you act" How the fuck the way this guy acts could be linked with his mmr ? xD
Everyone makes fun of ranks but yet they are hardstuck bronze 2-silver 4 and try to think there good
Road to masters was the reason your channel is dying
he tells us that he dosent want to grind, but actually he's just bad and cant climb xd
True dat. Cant accept the fact that he's just bad at the game
its sad.
what rank are you?
HAHA white knights xd keep on defending him it amaze me
he is right thought he dont need to grind hes just too bad this game isnt some kind of mmo you know that? if you are good you need to win 7 games in a row and get higher easy as it is, but the more he plays the worst win rate he gets its more likely that he get down to p1 than d4
eune.op.gg/summoner/userName=wczonsik
compare amount of games i have then add that its not even about our leauge and he got paid big amounts to play ranked if anyone who do it just to challenge themselve had been paid it would be challenger but i cant afford even to play 500 ranks not even saying about 1.1k xd
I fully support what ever you want to do, and I'm sure I'm far from alone in this.
Keep up the good work friend.
Gbay99, I know you may never see this, but I know I will still love your videos from the bottom of my heart, heck my favorite videos weren't from the road to diamond series or the road to masters series, my favorites were when you talked to us, like on a vlog, or like the one where you talked about titanic, I thought that was really well put together, and also really informative for me being in bronze 2 or even placements at the time, so still keep making upload to help bronzies like us.
dunkey vibes ._. only me?
yes. only you. how is this anything like dunkey completely quitting league.
Translation: I wasnt able to get to masters
Whatever you said about grinding games everyday to reach Masters or Challenger just isn't true. Look at BoxerPete he only plays 3 games per day and he's still in Masters. Stop making excuses and just try your best to climb through. Don't stop the series.
Pete is in challenger now
Yeah, Pete was rank 150 I believe and he only plays Trynd really, lmao. Is Trynd meta? No, not really.
Schiff Granger what's your point?
I was agreeing with your point.
Schiff Granger oh sorry because the way you wrote it kinda looks like sarcasm to me
As an aside, haven't watched a road to whatever vid in years, 100% glad you're back on the more entertaining, less scheduled stuff.
Gbay,
The reason I am your sub for how many years god knows was because of your Art at War videos.
And stop being a dramaqueen.
you do want it, you just can't get it LOL so you tell yourself you don't want it as a defense mechanism. simple psychology.
ShouldIDankMeme - Of course someone would WANT it. However, sometimes one's want does not outweigh the effort to achieve said goal.
Don't beat yourself up gbay. I love all of your content and constantly am learning something from it. Plus, there's always next season!
whatever you are going to do just know we appreciate all the work you did and thoughts you have made concerning this!
spread some love for gbay folks
what about tilteralla?
He's just hard stuck, this was just an 8 minute excuse he made up to feel like it was his decision he isnt masters
Ofc you want to get to masters you're too bad to do so.
WHEN YOU COME EARLY
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Too long; Didnt watch version: 'I'm bad at league and give up.'
grimelex Actual version: I don't want to put in countless hours each day to climb and I don't like where it is taking my content as a youtuber
Well actually that kinda means that he is too bad and doesnt want to improve because its too much work
it's not that he's "bad" per say as opposed to not being just "good enough". he legit just said that he's decided he doesn't WANT it. without wanting something, there's no way to achieve it. He wasn't having fun and ended up only tilting because of it and couldn't get himself in the right mindset.
well he doesnt want it because it would take him too much time per day practicing /playing so he would be good enough to make it, so therefore he is too bad right now?
No, it's more because he wasn't having fun doing it.

Have some confidence in your decisions Gbay! It's nice that you are considerate enough to explain why you do what you do to your audience but you shouldn't feel like you need to defend yourself. That being said I would love to see more completing league or anything else you come up with in the following months, and respect your decision to end road to masters
ah Gbay, I really think you are great! I love how you are not afraid to do what you want or speak up your mind :)
