  • Continued construction of my HO scale model railroad layout. This episode focuses on construction of McClusky hill which is a 2% to 2 1/2% incline from the Mainline to the mining operation.
Cardboard strips were webbed together covered by plaster cloth to create the hill surface. Drywall compound and textured primer formed the face of the Hill. I also experiment with different types of ground cover.
A special Thank You to Ron Marsh of Ron's Trains and Things and to Luke Towan of the Boulder creek railroad for providing information that helped me through the process.

I use clear elmers glue when I glue my ballast down and I use paver sand for my ballast. I don't do things the normal way with the gray ballast I got the white haze also when I used the white glue. Nice job
