OMG This is amazing and so cool! Reminds me of the Maine 2footers here in the US! They used similarly designed 2-6-2's (at least the SR&RL did). I will say for "Cupola" its pronounced more like "Coop-a-la" (at least here in the Midwest). This is such a neat railway IDK why it took me till today to learn about it!

Howdy from the US. I visited the railway back in 2022 and fell in love with it and it's locos. Sadly, I'm not sure when I might make my way back over there but I'm so glad I ran across your RUclips channel. Great video and I look forwards to seeing more updates

The caboose cupola rides is a great idea. As you say, not really something you'd normally get a chance at in this country.
Making footplate rides available is brilliant also.
Yes I'm a Fireman on the West Somerset Railway, but I do have a special love for Baldwin locomotives - (evident in my videos!)
I look forward to visiting you again, whenever that may be.

This is all very great :)
As a brazillian, while sad that Teresa's not at home, it's still a relief and even Miraculous she's out there, and driving! Most if not all of the original Mogiana locomotives of that gauge has been gone since then.
Thanks for the content and ofc for the marvelous work :D

Excellent update on developments. I live on the wrong side of the country to visit frequently, but it is a magnificent line, with better scenery than some other narrow gauge lines. I do hope that I might see the Forney completed one day.

Please keep these up!! The recent explosion of social media for this line has been brilliant to see! Also, pretty sure I spotted Stuart taking some promo photos at the VOR for the new Ivor books! Great work you've done for both lines!

As someone who has followed the fortune of the railway since the second day of operation, it has ben great to see the progress made. On the second day of operation , the train consisted of one coach pulled by an 0-4-0 engine called Sybil. What has happened to that loco. The last time I saw it was an exhibit in the BMR museum along with he locos now in Aberystwyth. I wish the Vale of Rheidol every success in running the BMR. Perhaps the line might be extended towards Tal-y-bont on Usk. I spoke to the late Tony Hills on a number of occasions and he told me that he would like to extend through the Torpantau tunnel to a point over looking the Talybont resevoir.

What became of the South African Garratt locomotive? I remember seeing it in the shed on the BMR in the 1980s.
