"Narcisista" is The Warning's sharp and witty clapback at the criticism they’ve faced, especially being called "malinchistas" for primarily writing songs in English. (Malinchista is a Mexican term that accuses someone of betraying their culture, like being unpatriotic or favoring foreign influence.) The song doesn’t just address the critics-it roasts them. It’s sarcastic, unapologetic, and full of attitude, poking fun at the hypocrisy of people who judge loudly but don’t live up to their own supposed standards. Through biting lyrics, the band laughs at the insults and labels thrown at them, turning the negativity into entertainment. The repeated "na, na, na" acts like a verbal shrug, showing they couldn’t care less about trying to please everyone. At its core, "Narcisista" is about standing your ground, staying authentic, and refusing to let others define who you are. It’s a playful yet pointed reminder to rise above the noise and do your thing-no apologies.
The meaning behind the lyrics of this song is arguably the most important reason this song exists and was their first ever Spanish language song! Definitely take some time to read a good translation of this… it’s awesome!
The crazy thing is that at this concert Pau was so sick they were considering cancelling! Her two sisters were not at 100% either. And they were doing this in Mexico City at over 7300 feet above sea level.... The fact that they were able to sustain their energy at the level they did throughout the concert is unbelievable!!
Pau's vox at the end of both Dust to dust and 23 are very Pau-erful. Although she didn't hit the last note at this show, probably because of the flu. In the Teatro Metropolitan show she belts it out. And I can't NOT mention her scream of destruction in Evolve 😮🤯😳
I always think this song has such a punk vibe -- especially considering that it was basically written as a big middle finger to their critics who complained they only wrote songs in English and not Spanish.... (not to mention the "na-na-na's")
Great reaction! Do you want to see more Pau in action? Check out the same song at Teatro Metropolitan when she comes down in front and her drum teacher takes the seat behind the kit.
Great reaction, keep them coming! When you finish the Pepsi Center concert you might try their Live at Lunario CDMX concert in done in 2018! They premiered their Queen Of The Murder Scene album which preceded their Error album!😊🎶⚡️
I don't know exactly why, but I just like you have no difficulty differentiating between Dany and Pau's vocals, even when listening to the new albums for the first time, but I have seen plenty of reactors who often confuse between them, when they react to audio only.
ULTIMATE PAU SONG !!! Narcisista is so full of attitude, rightfully so. This band was accused, by Mexican critics, of betraying their culture by writing and singing their songs in English. In every interview and many live performances, they are sure to let you know they are Mexican. They are true ambassadors to Mexico . The ONE thing, in all this world, you DON’T do, is piss off Paulina !!! So, here is a translation : They say they have to pray for me So worried but I do not see That they are praying so much It's not for much Quit your judging already Stay away from me Please! Well “Standard time” is what ever BPM or time signature they start with and then for the chorus they can bring in halftime to make it sound “Bigger” or different from the verse sections. At least that to my knowledge! Haha I could very well wrong 😂❤️
@@TociReacts I was just confused when you said they went from halftime to double time. I am sure you know way more about music than I do, I just dabble in it.
@ ohhh I get you. So they start in standard time. And then for the chorus they go to halftime to get that bigger sound. And then at some point I forgot where it is they go into like a double time kick and snare (pau) to essentially “double” the energy or speed. But in reality it’s all in the same time signature just speeding up bpm. Because if the song is for example in 120 bpm then you could get way with doing a riff in 60 bpm as 60 is divisible to 120 by 2 .. you see what I am saying? At least I think that’s how it works? 🤔 like I said I could be way wrong 😂
Ale is one of the most naturally talented musicians I have see. Combined with her dedication to practising she makes EvERYTHING look simple.

You should see Narcisista from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022 also. You will be suprised 😀
Yo theatro
Yesss, release the beast!
Great energetic reaction!!!!

I get the feeling that Dany plays a tasty solo, specifically because people repeatedly complained she didn't ( read couldn't) play solos.

So, here is a translation :
They say they have to pray for me
So worried but I do not see
That they are praying so much
It's not for much
Quit your judging already
Stay away from me
Please!
Criticize me a little more
I find myself entertained to hear
Everything you say
All your badmouthing
Let me laugh a little more
Because you don't know anything
You run your mouth and don't shut up
I cover my ears and
I simply say
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
Let me refute the list
I'm not crazy or a malinchista
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
They say I am selfish
Condemned narcisist
I don't know what to do anymore
I don't see the point of pretending
I'm not trying any more
Because I already know
That behind the curtains they keep talking
Their good intentions always come out lacking
Don't believe that you're fooling me with that disguise
Because you don't know anything
You run your mouth and don't shut up
I cover my ears and
I simply say
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
Let me refute list
I'm not crazy or a malinchista
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
They say I am selfish
Condemned narcisist
I'll refute the list again
I'm not crazy or a malinchista
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
They say I am selfish
Condemned narcisist

Theatro Metropolitan... doogie
Grandgrandpa73 here. For drumming and singing, Pau runs the Treadmill and sing home. ( No Joke)

I thought bands played "standard time" then switched to "halftime" then back to "standard".
Well “Standard time” is what ever BPM or time signature they start with and then for the chorus they can bring in halftime to make it sound “Bigger” or different from the verse sections. At least that to my knowledge! Haha I could very well wrong 😂❤️
