That Shmup section looks just awful. The massive hitbox is a dealbreaker in and of itself, but the vertical beams have no tells, the horizontal ones have a chance of sweeping the entire screen (making them unavoidable), and having a rapidly-firing enemy with such a huge hitbox is a surefire way to get that 5-hit lifebar down to 0 in just one bad move. Kudos to you on beating it.
If characters didn't die at the endings . It would be interesting to see a timeline where Eggman didn't get killed by the .exe's anyway . Something like an *Eggman Redemption Ark*

Tails Solo Survival should have become apart of the canon because it’s a big boss battle, it’s like the best ending we should get, I wish that was canon but atleast the trio survival is the true ending.

What’s odd to me about this ending that feels wholosome in this context is that it plays durring the knuckles & robotink duo when knuckles dies. He basically backstabs the same guy that died and then says the exact same monolouge, which I always found odd.

To be fair, when Tails kills Sonic.exe he was incredibly weakened from a 2-3 stage boss fight, while Metal Sonic attacked predictably.
