The Lore Behind OMT: OMT Is basically an virus that corrupted the first original SONIC.EXE Game, not much is known yet but it seems that OMT has full knowledge of the timeline, twisting and distorting things, as far as I know, there are really no way to beat him, since he pretty much controls the game.

I think Sonic. EXE needs a complete remake of its story and better character development, because the truth is that the same plot but with a more deformed Sonic and more faces doesn't help and it's not understood without context or development in the game. PD: I'm not complaining, it's just a comment.
Well, ultimately, I agree with you. But, I do like how the concept of Sonic.exe has become a vehicle for people to be as creative as they can be in such weird and dark ways. There are other .exe projects that do have stories and such, like Spirits of Hell and those ones. But it would be interesting to see all the best elements from each game combined into one. The nightmarishly creative pixel art of this one, with the brutality of One Last Round, the level design of EYX, and the story and gameplay choices of Spirits of Hell (and that other one I can't remember. The one with the possible ending where Metal Sonic kills Exe in that fog level...) But yeah, it would be next to see what the "next level" of all of this would be.
