Same. But all I can help notice is the orginal had metal parts and the head integrated. Though I bet this one doesn't have tiny plastic clips to hold on the extra armor that will break off.

I thought i had the macross valkerie. But I remember the red decoder on the box.
The parts you couldn't identify are adapters for the Arcadia stands. The Arcadia designs still hold up pretty well - particularly when you get to their updated Macross Plus Valks. Bandai sure beats them all in paint and materials, but interestingly I think Arcadia made some better proportion and vehicle detail decisions (most of the ones I've handled feel better to transform than the Bandai versions, but they don't display as well). That Jetfire is pretty spectacular - and man, the packaging was ballsy but SO well done! It's so surreal seeing the Jetfire theme on a modern valk, and it looks amazing!
Ahhh got it, thx 4 that. Didnt have any instructions or nuthin. I suppose it'll be useful with the deluxe version that comes with said stand. I totally agree with you on your points regarding Bandai and Yamato. And right?! I cant believe this company KO'd the G1 box XD I was not expecting that, but Im ultra happy that they did!

Of course this isn't Arcadia; it's Valkyrie Factory, the producer of Arcadia KOs. It's funny that even a KO company felt too afraid to release this, so did so under another name.
One of the parts fits onto the arm and it's designed to fit a Valkyrie cockpit on, as the entire cockpit and nose section is removable on the OG toy.
For the longest time I have tried to remember the name of my favorite childhood Transformer toy. Got it for Christmas in the 80 and this video is what I needed. I had the OG toy and it was amazing. To this day it is still one of the coolest toys ever. It seemed larger than life as a child.
I have the original Transformer's Jetfire, from back in the 89's still mint in the box!!

I believe the gun pod can attach under the arm-armor. It looks like you might have them on the opposite arms. There are specific LEFT and RIGHT versions. The G1 Box really sets this set apart from the others. A pure nostalgia boost! Very happy with this set. Thanks again for sharing this with us all. Cheers!
Yeah, of course :) And yes, you know what Im talking about! Just in sheer awe! Even today I cant stop staring at it or the box haha And youre correct, I found out later that I had the arms reversed. Still couldnt figure out a way to tab the arms into the legs tho. Nonetheless, holistically it's a magnificent piece. So so happy to have this in my collection :)

I got the KC one. I got a numbered one below 1000 so I decided just to keep it sealed. The 1st video I watched of this type of toy was for this version but the only one Inhad seen for sale was on BBTS. By the time I realized this was a knockoff I was already past my 30 day return window. I ordered this instantly when I saw the box it came in. The 1st pic I ever saw of the box I thought it was the KC version in a custom box
I had this back in the 80's. One of my favorite transformers toys. I definitely don't remember any of the extra stuff, bit it was like 40 years ago.

the detailing on this is crazy - the opening canopy, the booster packs, oh man. I was imagining playing with it as if I was back in 1985 again... oh man so good so good
Yeah they did an incredible job. It's a pretty interesting knockoff that combines with the Yamato engineering with the G1 box.
THANKS for the tip, I didn't check the rest of the shipping box and FOUND the extra armor and hands! LOL! I did the same thing when I opened the box and found it to be G1!!!! 2 days and I still have NOT Jetfire sitting here in jet mode. No armor, no conversion, nada. Just admiring the details.

Still have my 80’s og jetfire from when I was a kid, has a few broken pieces but still transforms and presents decently enough on my shelf. Being a fan of Macros/Robotech and Transformers still one of my favorite things from my childhood and glad I still have him. I would love to find an original in better shape but I think there pricey…this one looks pretty tempting but a bit smaller than the original but still rad and I’m glad I found out about it on your channel!

Made when toys were made to be played with. The landing gear were spring loaded and would deploy with the flip of a switch at each wheel. Lots of diecast.
I remember picking up that box in JC Penny in the South Lake Mall in Merrillville, Indiana. It was a beautiful toy even if to me the colors were all wrong. I was a big Robotech / Macross at the time. It was a thrill to see the Tatsunoko Productions logo on the packaging. Alas, it was too expensive for me, and was no longer a 100% Robotech item. I did buy the Revell Robotech models. That was enough for me.
Had a neighbor who would buy storage lockers he had toys in a box and did not know what he had. I bought this in mint condition with an original voltron in its box. They had the Kmart sticker price on the side....got them for a steal $10. 😂

Mine is a bit beat up, but I still have the OG version from 89 in box. As much as I'd lover a clean new version like this, I can't say I'm a fan of the skull & crossbones and other newer graphics on him. But at lease they gave him the RoboTec face like the OG.
Still a great looking piece that actually looks like an F-14 (for the most part).

A lot is different then I remember from when I had the toy. The transformation is also different .
The original g1 didnt have the skull and crossbones or Un spacey logos. They've also changed the missle pods on the arms. I think these ones are the "Do You Remember Love" version. This version looks a bit smaller too. But all in all its a really nice updated version of a great toy. Mine got so much love for such a long time.
Yeah, it's def a cross between Jetfire and the Macross Valkyries. And youre correct, the OG Jetfire was 1/55, while this is 1/60. The package is indeed incredible tho. Gave me the mega feels lol. Yeah OG Jetfire was one of my favs cuz I was both a TF and Robotech fan :)

It's not legit at all. The company that made it makes knock-offs of Yamato Macross figures, and they just decided to go all in and fully copy the Vintage Transformers box. I just got done transforming mine and let me tell you this thing is a work of art.

Wish the heatshield was red and they had not painted on the skull insignias to make it more of a Jetfire. It also has the arm armor from the DYRL movie version Valkyries, not the tv series versions.
I still own the original Jetfire and I used to own just about every single toy version of the VF-1 series Valkyries, both from Takatoku and Bandai, and I'm impressed at the amount of detail in this toy.
Also, it comes with more stuff than the HCM Bandai versions, which I also owned.
I never owned any of the Arcadia or Yamato ones though.
This is mostly a VF-1S Roy Focker Special (001 on the wing) from the "Macross: Do You Remember Love" movie, as evidenced by the red trim. Roy Focker's Valkyrie in the TV show had yellow trim. Also, the boosters should be black, not red. So yeah, this is a hybrid Roy Focker/Jetfire version.
It's actually Hikaru's VF-1S from DYRL. Fokker's yellow trim was the same in both TV and DYRL. Hikaru's trim was red when he took command and piloted the VF-1S In DYRL.
G1 Jetfire was my holy grail. I remember seeing one for sale when I was about seven, but my parents seemed to be in a rush, and didn't let us stop to admire it for more than a few seconds.
For a minute, I thought this version was a straight up KO of the original Takatoku mould, which is what I would be interested in. I already have a Yamato Valkyrie, and the new ThreeZero version on preorder.
But if this one was around twenty years ago, I would have been all in.
By the way, Yamato was the company that originally produced this modern version, but they went out of business. Arcadia bought all of their moulds, and rereleased them. Yamato is long gone, but Arcadia are still releasing product, though their prices are rather extreme; often $300-500.
That's why the new ThreeZero figures are so welcome. Much more reasonably priced, and not based on moulds from twenty years ago.
Yeah I was shocked when I pulled it out of the mailer. I also thought for a sec it was the old 1/55 valk XD And thx 4 the insight regarding the Yamato >> Arcadia exchange. The Threezero stuff is really quite nice. Paint is exquisite, but the way the legs attach to the nosecone leaves much to be desired. The heavy metal had created abrasions on mine straight out of the box. And the nosecone lights dont secure once you remove the legs so they just slide back and forth freely. Still a great product tho!

I had the g1 jetfire. And it seems this one is retooled heavily for better articulation and there are more parts here.

Those weird loose pieces are for the display stand that comes with the deluxe version. Only difference between the 2 sets is the display stand. Great figure though. I’m still waiting for mine to show up. Just a Couple more days

Anything Jetfire or Macross that comes out AND transforms is gold. This is however the most gorgeous non "transformers" item I've seen since Commotus (Turmoil) by MMC. Whoa, so this is a KO of the Arcadia?!?!? The look and name had me think it was the kitzconcept one... I got the KC god of flame a few years back and then an extra when they went on sale, along with the evil jetfire deco. I wasn't a fan of them going with the smaller size of 1/72 because I think that the 1/60 that yamato & arcadia did was also smaller than ideally desired.
I miss the days of various companies OSKOing figs. Wanted a transforming size of the matchbox valk that could fit 3.75" figs, but wouldn't mind a size that could fit M.A.S.K. sized pilots.
NEways, didn't know about this, but just went to showz and bought one (something weird was happening with my bonus points though. The G1-esque box and translucent armor are the unique aspects that push this way over the edge.

I wish it was 1/48 scale so that it could fit with my mainline collection XD Ah, the transforming Matchbox valk that never came lol. Great that it could hold pilots, but that it was hollow imitation of Takatoku's VF-1J lol. And glad you got your order in. It looks like it's "out out" now after a few stock refreshes.
@BotBenderOrinj there are rumors that the next gijoe/transformers crossover figure will be announced at the next pulse event. Their previous releases of:
-megatron/HISStank/baroness;
-bumblebee/jeep/stalker;
-soundwave/dreadnok thundermachine/zaranna&zartan; and
-kup/tripleT/sgt slaughter&leatherneck
all scaled such that 3.75-inch figs could fit inside the vehicle modes.
...imagine if that series does a jetfire as an upcoming character! 🤩
It seems they were alternating between autobot release & decepticon release, but hey, jetfire initially aligned with starscream/decepticons... so I wouldn't mind if that was a reason they'd push a jetfire/gijoe toy up the queue.

The original "Jetfire" did have the UN Spacey logo on the wing, it was Red. 🙂
Only the Matushiro versions I believe. I don't think the Bandai versions had it.

I was around 11 when Transformers first came out and there was a kid who would visit his grandparents on weekends and sometimes in the summer they lived out of my state i forget where . he had a black & Gold cassette that looked like Rumble & Frenzy with gold weapons . his 5 Dinobots where a different color i think they where the original toys before they was made Transformers i only got to see them once . he also had 2 different robots of Jetfire & Skyfire the only things that was different the one toy had a cartoons gun and only 1 antenna on each side of the head

@@BotBenderOrinj oops first saw him like a month after the cartoon aired his grandparents end up moving like 4 months before the movie came out he did tell me and my others friends a movie was coming and that the Decepticons where going to get a new leader and that some Transformers where going to die in the movie but he said he didnt know who was going to die . i think his dad had some kind of job with toys he also had a sister who had She-Ra toys like 6 months before they hit the toy shelves .

The 1/48 version of the Valkyrie had a removable nosecone with a mini radar assembly underneath.

Where can I find this when is it supposed to be released? Tfsource doesn't have it big bad toy store doesn't have it Amazon doesn't have it and Hasbro pulse doesn't have it unless I'm typing in the wrong thing
I dont think TFSource or Bigbad would carry this, as this is essentially a knockoff of the Yamato/Arcadia valkyries from waaay back. Also, considering these folks stole the G1 box design, Hasbro prolly wouldnt be thrilled about the retailers carrying this toy. Hopefully ShowZ has a stock refresh!

I have a Yamato 1/48 VF-1A Max and I know that's not the Yamato 1/48 mold. That looks like a bootleg of the 1/60 VF-1S with "jetfire" color scheme but retaining the Macross logos/markings.
Correct, this is based of the Yam/Arc 1/60 VF-1S.
So those legs had die-fast feet in them on some versions and are basically just held together by a bar? Yikes.
I checked the site and it is labeled as "Pre-order" how long will it take to get this if a purchase is made?
Not sure, it depends on the toy and manufacturer. My guess is they need an X amount before the order gets fulfilled, so that may vary.
