Eh. That's a half-truth. Heavier weight classes have lower skill level on average and less competition BUT the margin of error is way smaller. Derrick Lewis is not as skilled as equally ranked LWs and FWs but he's just as dangerous to fight.
Doesn't change the fact that most heavyweight fighter will stomp the division under them with ease

Early stoppages due to ref decison should be able to be over turned to a no contest or removed from their records. Due to the pay structure maybe it doesn't have an effect or they can possible give each fighter 1/2 their win bonus due to no contest or draw.
I'll agree if its a horrible stoppage, but in this instance he was chicken dancing around the ring and where about to join the shadow realm, outcome would be the same, he wasn't giving any encouraging signs for herzag at all, his eyes rolled back couple of times to and he got quite abit of time to recover, half a minute he was zombified before he called it.

Stopping a fight isn’t about how much damage a fighter has taken or is going to take. It’s about can they defend themselves and are they “intelligently” doing it. Jared never went down, while he was disoriented you could tell he was trying to make conscious aware decision to stay in the fight, & he was still defending himself.
Reyes beat John. Big Reyes fan after that. He pushes pace, putting himself in danger. Great to watch.
