This is amazing the first scream movie will always hit home for me especially the epic opening staring drew Barrymore as Casey Becker
As far as Tatum goes, I feel like you get a good look into the general way she sees things and how sassy she is is one of her first lines, and one of my favorite lines in the movie, when Sidney says Casey sits next to her in English class and she’s like, “Not anymore she doesn’t”. Perfect line to paint a picture of a character haha.
Who needs a filter anyway?
I saw trailers for this movie when I was around 7-8 and I distinctly remember being terrified of Ghostface. I had a nightmare that he chased me around my house and cornered me into my moms room and stabbed me in the stomach. That dream scarred me so much that I didn’t see that movie until I was like 20 😅 Somehow didn’t get spoiled on the movies ending so when it was revealed to me who the killers were this movie was instantly my fav! Then I went and watched the rest and did a Scream movie marathon every Halloween 😁 I have since expanded my horror movie love and Wes Craven still is my fav director. RIP Wes.
I can never get enough of your content. You’re like the perfect channel for a horror fan. Keep it up!
Thank you Charles 🙏
My mom took me to see Scream when I was 8. It was my first movie at the new theatre in town. I loved it! Always felt for Tatum, especially when she calls for her mom at the end.
The last film I saw at the old theatre in town was Scream 2.
Thank you!!! I thought I was the only one who prefers the theatrical cut quicker version of Casey's hanging! It's so much scarier! You see it long enough to see how gruesome it is, but not long enough to see all the details. You're almost not sure of what you saw, and your mind fills in the blanks. When I was a kid, I swore that he had turned her inside out. The "director's cut" version totally ruins the effect!
My first experience was when my parents watched it when i was five. Didn't get passed the opening. Scared the hell out of me but little did I know that it would spark a flame in me later. My parents owned the first two on VHS and I eventually watched them both in full a few years later.
Subscribed! Podcast form is perfect, the longer you discuss a scream movie or anything the better. Gonna watch this tonight
i watched scream for the first time about a year and a half ago and i didn't have any spoilers for it, I'm 27 so thats pretty crazy, and I'm so happy I got to experience it the way it was meant to the first time. And same with all the other scream movies
Where I'm from the Scream movie wasn't that well promoted so I hadn't seen it until it came out on VHS. I was lucky that my stepfather had rented it and it was laying around when I had nothing to do. I got hooked. That opening scene was suspenseful and actually heartbreaking. Never before had an emotional reaction to a kill in a slasher. Also the meta commentary was something that knocked me off my feet, along with the murder mystery aspect. I've been hooked on the franchise ever since. Glad to see that there are others who are just as passionate.
I’m so excited you started a podcast-I love listening to them while I’m at work, so this is perfect lol, excited for the next video!
Oh man, this was fantastic. I just got to finish it, even though I've seen most of your podcast episodes, I forgot to come back and finish this! Glad I did, you and Eddie have a great conversation because you don't agree on everything and offers different views and I really like that.
Also, I would LOVE to see you do an episode on The Faculty! One of my all time faves
The faculty will eventually happen. It has to!
Swear I've listened to all the episodes at least 3 times each cause I always fall a sleep to them and miss parts
Ok I forgot how in your face the old transition for the Cherry Pickers segment was, very 90s vibe with the music and the zooming in and out
Can’t wait to listen to this. Look forward to more episodes!!
Can’t wait for an I know what you did last summer episode. #justiceforhelen
😂😂I started listening to this because I love your other channel. It’s a good time. The soundtrack for cleaning. 🙂
I can’t believe one of you didn’t say the cheerleader in the bathroom with Sydney. She’s the worst! 🤦🏾♀️
Here from Zack's channel. Subbed! First watched Scream when I was 13. My friends older brother taped it for me when it came on Sky. My favourite horror film.
Very excited for more of these!! As a truck driver I love long for content I can listen to throughout my shifts! Also stoked Scream 6 got confirmed today. LETS GOOO!!
Waited to listen to this during work to help pass time. It's perfect.
Enjoying this podcast. Looking forward to more episodes.
Glad that you are doing long form videos like this! We can't wait to see more episodes!
Love the first episode! Scream is my favorite horror movie after all. Was just thinking the other day would love to see you start a Podcast so Congrats 🎉
You put that energy out there and made it happen 💫
"Skeet" is short for "Skeeter", which was a nickname that his baseball coach gave him because he was the smallest kid on the team, if I'm not mistaken
My first time watching the 1st five Scream movies were in March of 2023 right before Scream 6 came out so I could get caught up
I was a big scaredy-cat growing up, so I only got into Horror in my late teens/early 20s. I remember going to a friend’s Halloween party when I was.. maybe 13~ And we watched Scream (1996) and it BLEW MY MIND that Shaggy from the live action Scooby-Doo movies was one of the killers 🤣🤣
Keep up the fantastic work Zack and Eddie!!! I wanted to let you know I gave you a review on Audible ❤️
Liked! Subscribed!
I'm COMPLETELY shocked the topic you chose for this first podcast. :P
You are such a breath of fresh air, and I can't wait to see more episodes!! Way to go!
As if there was anywhere else to start haha
Keep it on, Zack! I love your content. It's just great. Don't stop making these videos!
Glad you started a podcast Zach! Looking forward to more and all the hard work you put in!
Loved the Simpson's reference. I remember that episode well
great first podcast! this is one i’ll definitely tune into for future reference!
hope all is well, Zack 🍒 🙏🏻
The podcast format is fantastic! I love the deep dives into these movies and look forward to future installments. Side note, I really agree with your casting discussion for Cox. I equate it to the same reaction as Michael Keaton as Batman. Very much a casting against type at the time.
Demon Knight was also either the first or one of the first horror films I saw completely as well. I am fairly certain they showed it on cable at some point in Canada, so maybe thats why many of us saw that.
Love this can’t wait for more episodes!
Thank you for doing this!!! Anything you do rocks 🤘🏻😎☀️
I couldn’t be more excited for this podcast! I just know it’s going to be great. Do you ever plan on possibly talking about Sleepaway Camp?
Anything is possible
I totally notice Billy giving those glances. When he shows up at the party after he potentially kills Tatum
He gives Stu that look, raising his eyebrows like: yeah your girlfriend is dead.
I always think maybe that was more collateral damage rather than a planned kill?
I really enjoyed this though. Definitely subbing for more podcasts!
Right on! Thank you 🙏
A new podcast? Yes please!
The funny thing is when you were talking about people who hadn’t seen Scream but only saw Scary Movie. I believe Nico Tortorella (Trevor in Scream 4) had only seen Scary Movie before auditioning (but I guess somewhere in between call backs finally watched it? I think for sure before filming)
Great podcast guys! Hope many more are to follow!!
I read that Skeet came from a nickname - ‘Mosquito’ - given to him by a school sports coach because he was small and fast :) Ulrich is his stepfather’s surname.
My favourite pizza is vegetable with ham, pineapple and chicken tikka 😂😂🍗🐔🍕😊🐾💞
I've had alot of free or cheaper pizzas
as it confuses people 😂😂
I saw Scary Movie before Scream but after I Know What You Did Last Summer, and at the time I thought it was so much like IKWYDLS and it made sense as a movie and I liked it. Then I saw Scream which I absolutely loved, and realised no, Scary Movie was way more like Scream. But yeah, after that more specific references from Scary Movie made sense, but they weren't necessary to have seen it beforehand.
Subscribed. Loving the podcast.
Ile be here for Anymore content you've got ....
Are we sure that he's seen scream that many times 🤣🤣🤣
Can’t wait to throw this on tonight during homework
Love the pod but I do think for exposure you should change the name as there is a popular NHL podcast called the Cherry Picker Podcast
Love this podcast, can’t wait for the next episode. Oh and the movie “Stab” came out in 1997, the date is shown as April 12 1997 when Maureen and Phil are in line in Scream 2. I always thought there’s an inconsistency when the events in “Scream” take place because when Maureen is waiting for her popcorn and Diet Pepsi a woman behind her mentions the events took place “a couple of years ago”???
That is giving flashbacks to Roman saying he got in touch with Billie 2 years ago, when it should have been at least 5.
That really irked me.
Scream 2 came out 1997 but was set in 1998 "that's why scream 2 takes place a couple of years later"
Thanks man. This is a good podcast
The nickname "Skeet" originated from "Skeeter", a nickname he was given by his Little League coach because of his small stature and because he was fast as a mosquito
subbed! love your videos, and very excited to start listening to this podcast!
Hi Eddie!
Excited about the podcast guys, good idea!
We never saw TWO killers coming. This was the first, remember.
The "unrated" version, played in theatres up here in Canada, at least to begin with. Because I saw it opening weekend, and when it came out on video, I distinctly remember saying what the hell happened to that guy's guts. I'd thought I rented the wrong version.
New nightmare was probably the first movie I saw in the theater. I was 6 lol and I love witchboard 2
Witchboard 2, forever in my heart as my first horror movie experience.
Who would you save from each Scream film?
1 - Tatum Riley
2 - Cici Cooper (sorry Randy)
3 - Jennifer Jolie
4 - I would have said Kirby Reed, but now we know she survived canon-wise. So I guess Robbie Mercer? He seemed like a nice guy.
5 - Judy Hicks (and her good boy Wes Hicks) - I will sacrifice Robbie Mercer to save both of these.
I would save Maureen instead CiCi.. Just feel bad for her she's so jumpy, doesn't like being scared or scary movies, didn't want to even watch that STAB movie but gets pressured to. To top it off tho in her last moments she probably thinks her boyfriend is the one who killed her since ghostface is wearing his jacket.. then shes screaming for help on stage in her last moments and realises nobody even notices they're just glorifying this horror movie and pretending to stab eachother...ah it's so sad. Hardest death to watch for me in scream 2. Thank you Wes 🙏
The fact that y’all made me look up skeet ulrich’s name origin cuz i got curious
Yup already subbed. Even more great content 👌🏾
Brian Trout has traumatized me😱😂
Tales of the crypt demon night is a GREAT movie!
Oh that Director’s Cut was sold at Walmart when I was a kid.
I remember seeing the uncut version and the intestine scene
I think 1yr-2yrs is a good time limit for spoilers
very good! please make more videos on both channels.
I love Scream like everyone else here.. But I gotta know... Where did you get that hoodie from? 😍😍
Sunrise records
@@thecherrypicker thank you 😍
Love this 💞
That's my lunch break sorted.
Top notch!
Hypeeddddd
Statute of limitations on spoilers is officially after the theatrical run of a film.
*Spoilers for streaming is like the Wild West lol
Subbed!
Eddie looks like george clooney! You prolly get that often though im assuming
Man I wish I had work colleagues or friends who I could discuss movies and stuff like this with 😞
That’s what we’re here for
@@thecherrypicker I guess so zack, thanks. I've enjoyed all 3 of these podcasts so far (keep up the great work) I just kinda wish I could be there in person to talk with you film geeks out there about your opinions and experiences watching all these different movies. Again another reason I love Scream 2 the most is because it has scenes like the movie class scene where everyone is just bantering talking about movies and stuff. Definitely the kinda environment I would love to have joined in with
It's a great, dynamic scene. Wes really made every conversation in that movie exciting.
@@thecherrypicker He really did god bless him 🙏 Will you guys be discussing the original Nightmare On Elm Street or The Thing at some point? 😀
hype!!
I’m surprised you didn’t pick gossip girl banging out Sydney in the girls bathroom at school 😂
Yes! Nice Simpsons reference(about 46 min in) for anyone who wants it: Cape Feare
The Simpsons: Season 5, Episode 2
Thank you. Such a classic.

You going to add them to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.?
It should be on Spotify already. Apple takes a while to approve. The link for the RSS feed is in the descriptions =)
You rock!!
Frist scream is a classic and original its definitely best that's means scream 2 definitely good as well
Soory...aboot...are you Canadian? 🇨🇦
Pls collab w the guy who does the history of horror movies
Cherry Picker
Why did Skeet Ulrich change his name? He changed his last name to Ulrich to honor his stepdad, D.K. Ulrich. He has gone by Skeet since receiving the nickname from a childhood coach.
Iam Sidney and Tatum also casey. Nickname sidcaseum 😊
1:17:41: the part
Hi
Wait a minute are you 37 years old??
36
@@thecherrypicker I am surprised I thought you were in your mid twenties :D
@@timotejgabris9162lol stop lying.

The new Scream is so underwhelming, sadly.
I loved it. But to each their own =)
@@thecherrypicker really? The motives I thought were lame, the killers weren't believable, the hospital being empty was far fetched, the flow was bad, Wes being left home alone when his mom is the Sherrif and his sherrif mom not having a gun as she approached the house, the first actual kill being a guy who was supposed to be a red herring but was only in the movie 5 minutes. Byt like you said, to each their own 😊
@@user-fb4sb1zi8g Scream & Scream 2 were great, the rest suck lol scream 5 made the franchise scooby doo and scream 6 will kill the franchise, even though it was dead with scream 3 lol
@@user-fb4sb1zi8g toxic fans right, thats the whole point of the latest movie because somehow they knew people would bitch about it😜
Hate scream 5, it's the worst movie of 2022 so far and now scream 6 WTF 😂
Sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy it
All credibility lost…scream wasn’t your favorite? Might be? Scream chose you? Why did I cringe?
Subbed!
