I wanna see the DEF system fall off that thing so that the stacks can be functional. Them 8in cannons would sound badass on that rig. Also id like to see paint matched window chops, deck plate, strapless breathers, chopped breather tops, and a ton of custom lighting! Love lighting mods! Also one more thing, the I80 truck show is comin up in July, the second Thursday of the month through that Saturday. You should come! Id love to meet you!
Even though you say she is not finished yet, that is a real work of art! Love the colour and the stacks and other chrome really stand right out, what an absolute beauty!
No get half fenders the step deck will destroy the full fenders go half the step deck is not designed for full fenders TRUST ME I have hauled step decks and other trailers go half fenders and when you buy a regular flatbed trailer go full
Love the visor, but it seems it should be a few inches higher. Bright metal half fenders or full, not color coded or wrap around. There's already enough blue with both the cab and frame being that color. Bright metal deck plate would look nice too.
Good friend of mine owns a small trucking company with about 30 trucks. The new Pete's he bought spent more time in the shop with DEF and egr problems than they did on the road. They were choked down so much that it was causing excessive wear on the engines and they had to be overhauled before 250,000 miles. Now when he buys a new one, he immediately voids the warranty by having the DEF and emissions crap deleted. It drastically improves fuel economy, power and longevity of the engine. Also he is able to make money with the truck because it's not constantly broke down in the shop.
@@southernhellstorm6634 Can you possibly be any more negative? If you cannot say anything nice then keep your your damn mouth shut nobody wants to hear your negativity!

Hey Bruce. Love the Pete. I would have to save to go with full rear fenders or double hump rear fenders. Your Pete kinda looks like Project 351 except in a gorgeous blue
The stacks visor and bumper make the truck Just needs stainless covers on the fuel tanks as it looks odd with alloy and stainless mix on the def tank and fuel
On the oil cooler side close to the front face up by the head, there is a dot matrix and serial number. If it has a JEP in front of the number, I helped machine the block in Jamestown, NY!! ISX 15 !!!
It's A peterbilt you stand out on the battery box when backing trailers and I would get rid of those factory headlights in favor of twin round 359 style with hyper blue led bulbs that would look awesome
@@timcanizares5240 I had a 1990 379 Pete with 6 inch stacks...driver said they blocked rear visibility. He preferred stacks that rose up behind the sleeper. Functional behind the sleeper stacks ftw.
Congrats on the new rig, Bruce!! You'll have to find a midnight mechanic and have it deleted when the warranty expires. Send some noise up out those barrels!
If the truck is 2007 or older it doesn't matter whether or not it's legal or illegal, because that was pre def But anything after that it is illegal to tamper With the Emissions of the truck. Each state has their own laws against it, But most do not enforce them. On a federal level that is a different case, I know this because I was a cop. But I have since changed professions and have been a truck driver for some years now. But I can tell you they make emission trucks like this Peterbilt With functioning stacks Ive had a 2007 pete 379 that was pre def And a 2020 pete 389 post def with functioning stacks... It is not illegal to change the exhaust direction of that single under cab exhaust pipe to the stacks on that truck As long as you do not remove the emission system That came factory. There still will not be any noise and there will not be any smoke, It would still function the same as it does now. The only time you might see the resemblance Of smoke is if it was really cold outside the truck then will smoke like your car after a cold start, But it will go away once the engine is warm. My Pete 389 did it every time it was 20s to single digits outside
Get rid of that mid ship light above the fuel tanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put SS Half Fenders on the rear, you want old school look ------ NO Full Fenders!!! truck looks Awesome Bruce
Sick truck Bruce. I hope you can do a more in depth build on it at some point and a straight pipe functioning stacks?? And full fenders for sure🔥🔥🔥🔥 stay safe brotha

So glad to see you bounce back from your problem & Roll out like you have been 👍🇺🇸👍😎😃 👀👂🤞👌
Shouldn't you put some sealant around the nut-chert to seal it?, what are you going to do with both rigs being so far from home?, you haven't even given us a ride in the new-BC truck yet?, :-( , the OG-BC looks so sad sitting over there all by itself, lol, awesome truck you have there Bruce, I'd be jealous if I were that type, great video, thanks for sharing.
More importantly, is installing a lane-changing camera on the bottom of the mirror on the RHS so when you go to change lanes it comes up with an image in from your blind spot into the screen of the truck. The stacks being not functional are useless there they just stick up 3ft in the way and will just get caught on low hanging objects.
Looks good u still need a light on each end of the bumper and 3 watermelon lights in front of the breathers and put ur watermelon red lights in back of the cab and I would do chrome half fenders and the blues man will be styling and profiling
Stainless full fenders on the back and put some stainless step covers on it and stainless air tank straps on it with front and back breather lights it's looking good tho keep up the good work and do 9 lights you will be happier doing it now
It’s definitely looking sick buddy for sure!! I absolutely love it!! For the rear fenders I’d go with full fenders fiberglass and have them painted the same color as the rest of the Beauty!!! My Nabor has a trucking company of his own and has 12 different trucks and hires drivers for them!! At least half of them have the full fenders and they are all painted the same color as the rest of the truck is!! He says he gets someone every time he stops and fuels up they will always say that they are definitely sick looking and definitely help the truck pop for sure!!! Plus his trucks all have lowering hits on them also witch just makes them look so much better with the full painted fenders!!!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!! Definitely looking good!!! One question though how come you just went dummy pipes instead of having them functional set of pipes?? I mean really you spent the money on 90% of the set up why not just go all the way so you can see the smoke roll out of them every time you go shifting gears??? I think that looks so sick when going down the road and the bursts of black smoke rolling out the tops of the pipes at each shift!!!!
G’day Bruce that truck looks absolutely fantastic cool as you have to leave the original quarter guards on they’re cool great video keep up the good work all the best keep on trucking later
Sure would sound better with functional stacks
It's a emissions truck without deleting it no sound will be made no matter what
Hey Kevin, try not to be a wet blanket.
@@jpaterson507 hahahaha Kevin make sure you tell Karen that I put my new muffler on for her since she called the cops last time

Always one like for Dad. Great going. God bless you.
Sweet looking truck! At least right now, it has a very modern yet classic look.
It is awesome to see your dad back on the channel an nice rig too
Full fiberglass fenders color matched with chrome accents on the front and back of the fenders to protect it from rocks and etc.
I’m really surprised you chose the dummy stack exhaust. Pictures you as a true stack guy
He did not spec out the truck or order it. Somebody else did

Deck plating on top of the frame rails would look amazing ! Diamond plate maybe 🤔
Dummy stacks are mint they stay nice and clean and don’t discolor they make the truck
Nice truck Bruce. I'd go with full back fenders especially when bobtailing the tires won't sandblast the paint off the back of your sleeper
Sharp ride. Good luck and safe travels with your new pete
The stacks visor and bumper make the truck
Just needs stainless covers on the fuel tanks as it looks odd with alloy and stainless mix on the def tank and fuel
put clearance lights in the visor 1 inch pull thru. Makes the truck look lower and easier to wash the cab roof

Awesome……I agree with most of the commenters about dummy stacks are not worth the hassle or the money but the truck looks great anyway
NICE ! Love the truck! I have always thought if you fix it the way you want it , you will have the only one.
Might just be the video or something but seems like the stacks aren't straight with the sleeper or cab? but no doubt it..the truck is beautiful!
You can use the fake stacks for storage -- fill one with Blue Collar T-Shirts and fill the other one with extra oil for the Freightliner.
I'd rather see some round 359 headlamps, and real stacks. The dummies just block rear vision when backing a trailer.
