Dr. Singh, thank you for this video. This has been the most comprehensive and thorough foot and ankle orthopedic examination that I have ever listened to. You have a gift to explain things in a concise and clear manner. As a podiatrist in America, I wish all of my lectures in school were like this. I hope to see even more foot and ankle related videos from you.
Dear Dr. Singh I want to say a huge thank you for this video. It was highly informative and very clearly explained. As a podiatrist from England working as a private practice clinician, I will regularly refer to this video as a revision session. Many thanks I really enjoyed it also.
Hello Dr. Vinay Kumar Singh, all your videos are really wonderful very important for orthopedic community. thanks for all your best contributions for the advancement of orthopedics in the world. God bless you in abundance.
Its not easy task to perform and explain each and everything in ankle joint examination very smoothly... Dr vinay you have done such a marvelous work... Welldone ✅
It tooks me 2 days to read the gait analysis of foot and ankle but after watching this video my concept is crystal clear, thank you sir, just one request is sir kindly upload video about fractures of (hind foot, mid foot) and it's management 😊😊😊
Well explained session.. The best thing about this video is they made the correction of the ankle motion i.e the planterflexion instead of dorsiflexion.👍
Beautiful as always We missed Inversion stress test . My doubt is : when we look for muscle strength ,for ex - ankle Dorsiflexors , should we first keep the ankle in DF and ask the patient to maintain it while examiner tries to Planterflex or we should keep foot in neutral and ask the patient to try to DF (from neutral position ) against Resistance . Kindly clarify Regards
It's hard to cover each test Deepak. I tried to cover as much I could. Foot should be in position as shown in video. This instead the muscle. Also it tells you there is at least anti gravity power. If they can't bring it up then it means power is less then grade 3.
Awesomeness overloaded but sir I think in Thompson’s on squeezing calf foot should go in plantar flexion and if there is discontinuity of Achilles it won’t go then test is positive and it says loss of integrity.Actually not Dorsiflexion of foot.sir waiting for Hip examination which is backbone of my long case. Thanks so much sir for ur share of knowledge n making things easier
That was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! is there difference in checking for tendo-achillis tendon rupture with patient prone and legs in full extension with feet at the edge of the couch and squeezing the calf, compared to the method you used(leg in flexed position?
Thank sir for a very descriptive and informative video of ankle examination...it is conceptual and to the point..Hope to see many such orthopaedic examination videos in future as well...
Great explanation sir 😊 Thank you so much ❤️ From- Dr. Rahul Bharat, senior resident, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR), SGPGIMS, LUCKNOW.
Thanks for such an amazing presentation. Is it possible to add annotated xrays on the side for relevant pathologies as well, it will be ok if they are not commented upon for the sake of time-saving. Subscribed and waiting for more such videos.
Thank you Sayeda much for your comments. It's extremely hard to collector X rays of such wide variety of pathologies that I have covered in my examination video. I absolutely agree that if I manage to add Xray then it will add more value to the video.
Yes it's planter flexion. Thanks for pointing it out. Sometimes it's hard to keep focus on both commentry and simultaneous examination. You can see i am doing planterflexion😀.
Dr singh Whole of the examination was very good It helped me alot.. The only suggestion i wanted to give plz use block in Coleman block test not the book Thnkd
As usual best of best ,simple and easy to understand covering all in less time ,thanks a lot sir (can you please make a video on gait and few types important in ortho please sir)
Thanks dear doctor very informative But as a comment I don't know it may be bcz of non functioning mic. For the next time Again Thanks dear How to have contact with? Best regards
