I own MG Hector CVT since July 21, this car is all good but I feel, many times, frustrated while driving it. Reasons- 1. It's voice recognition system does not understand anything. So voice commands become useless. 2. Software upgradation is herculean task. 3. Interior though looks elegant, has noises coming from Gear Panel, side doors, Seatbelt compartment. 4. Lower mileage is unjustifiably low. 5. Fake engine light crops up now and then. This is not a showroom issue but company issue, any showroom is not able to correct these issues. I am sharing because if you are planning to buy Hector, also consider these issues, before spending premium on the product. Neeraj Joshi.
Gives fuel efficiency of 5-6 kmpl. Buy at your own risk. You will end up spending a lot on fuel. It is same philosophy where printer is cheap but ink is expensive. Better to buy a car that gives better fuel efficiency even if it costs little extra
the MG Hector could really do with 4WD . . . and the turbo 1.5 I4 with the CVT needs some serious re-tuning . . . the ADAS could do with a HUD . . . a pair of front & rear lateral strut bars and stiffer anti-roll bars should take care of the wavy handling of the Hector . . . front & rear lateral strut bars will improve the Hector torsional rigidity & structural integrity . . . and add stiffer anti-roll bars to mix and that'll improve it's handling characteristics . . .
I have been driving MG Hector Sharp Pro Manual Petrol & I couldn’t be happier. Its pure Luxury to drive, Very comfortable & Stylish in looks with impressive after sales service/Support. Fuel Efficiency- 10-12.5KMPL in City & 14-16.5KMPL on Highway. I can give screenshots from App if anyone want
What a time it is. I remember in 2019 I was in Delhi Airport as I had a flight to catch, there I had seen the very first gen of the Hector which had newly came to India. The car was just amazing, I remember sitting inside and looking at the features and stuffs. Really, it has grown a lot.
With Maruti and Toyota offering such great fuel efficiency and solid build quality (expecting at least 4 star GNCAP score), MG will find it difficult to penetrate this segment. If you are driving enthusiast and don't like Maruti or Toyota, VW and Skoda have great cars in this price range with 1.5 DSG gearbox.
I think a car should be car first instead of a gadget. After spending so much money the engine is not punchy, ride and handling far far away from German Cars but it looks good no doubt.
My god nowadays even Audi Benz and some other luxury brand cars owns more 15 kmpl, but MG ?????. And as one friend said without Diesel Auto MG can't compete in market...
No delivery for adas vehicle because of some issues with the adas system i booked car they said 10days of tentative time for delivery of car i booked it in Jan month still i didn't get the vehicle so MG will not Stand on there word
Me neither is unaware of what went wrong at the other end but I booked Savvy Pro - Starry Black with ADAS on 19th of January, the vehicle has reached the showroom 30th of January. Delivery will be done in the coming fortnight.
I bought a mg hector 2023 last month by spending 25 lakhs.. In the mere 700km covered in vehicle.. I have faced numerous issues.. Everytime i have to travel 40-45 km to ur service centre for issue... I did a big mistake by spending such a huge amount on such an unreliable chinese brand.. I will never recommend this vehicle to anyone.
MG Latur dealership have done fraud with me . They quoted wrong ex showroom price. But the actual ex showroom price is less by 1 lakh. Cheat company MG
The skinniest car I have ever seen compared to fortune, Or another muscular car, From the back side. I seen this car on the road side by side with Toyota fortunes.

don't know what was the issue. But there was a delivery of adas version, while I took non adas. this is in Hyderabad BTW, delivery date was 8th Feb
