- How to video: How to install drop shackles on your 2001+ silverado or sierra. My 2020 Duramax Silverado 2500 High Country is the vehicle we worked on. We used John C Garage 3/4inch drop shackles (made specifically for 2020+) .

Jack
Jack Stands
Torque Wrench (good for atleast 60lbs)
(2) half inch Ratchets
(2) 15/16s sockets (prefer deep sockets)

Appreciate the informative video! Just purchased a 2022 Silverado 2500, I want it level but don't really want to mess around with the front suspension. This is 100% what I'm doing this spring!

what size wheels / tires are those ? looks killer
Great video! In comparison to the leveling kit is this the way to go? I don’t want to mess with my front suspension if I’m not guaranteed a better ride. I’d rather go this route and get airbags and lowering shackles for the price of a leveling kit with shocks.
@duramax2020 did you paint match or wrap your truck. Looking to do the same with the front flip and fenders. Silver 2022 high country.
Do the open side of the drop shackles go towards the cab or towards the rear. Seen 5 videos and everyone is doing both. Probably don't matter idk.
what wheel and tire set up do you have?

In your description you have 3/4 and in one of the comments you 1.4…. What did size did you go with?
My truck it’s un level from the back I’m not sure what it is I look one side it’s bigger than the other

What size tire you running
Is the payload less & closer to the bump stops or did you remove them
No payload does not change… frame and suspension leafs are all the same.
However your truck will squat a lot more on heavy loads so rear airbags are suggested

Not sure if there is a 2” at least not when I was sent mine. 3/4 and 1.4inch were the options
