Hello, With MSR stoves, you can flip the fuel bottle and wait for the fuel/bottle pressure to run out before disconnecting the fuel line. This will prevent spilling fuel from removing the fuel line and when you unscrew the pump from the fuel bottle. Make sure the clear plastic fuel line on the pump is bent away from the rest of the pump assembly. Ive been doing this for a while with no issues.
