You should try modelling the even bigger 1/8th scale E-Type model by Monogram, launched in the early 1960s. It still is an impressive model, with detailed engine, suspension, most of the gearbox, rear diff and suspension cradle, opening bonnet, opening doors with windup windows etc. Your skills with the Heller model would really shine re super detailing the Monogram model. Revell took over the Monogram range in later years and continued to make the Jaguar but by then the moulds were becoming a bit tired as I observed when I bought one kit in a junk shop. I was lucky to then purchase the original Monogram kit a few years later second-hand and it is much superior re mouldings and crispness.
Just to give you an idea of its size, the body shell is 530mm in length (or 53cm). Try and find the original kit, this is what the box artwork looks like: www.scalemates.com/kits/monogram-pc98-jaguar-xk-e--266856. Best regards Mark
