    Hey Wes! That was super helpful. Does the funnel work if you warm up the audience with a few content ads first, instead of just one content ad then straight to remarketing?

    • @WesMcDowellInc
      @WesMcDowellInc  5 лет назад +18

      Hey Soojee, yes, this can definitely work with a few content ads, but I wouldn't run the follow-up content ads as retargeting... this will usually cause your audience to get too small. I'd just run some top level content ads to the same audience, and let them overlap a bit. Hope that helps!

      Excuse my ignorance, but is each ad created in the Facebook pages? And how do you add an exit intent popup. Thanks I started following you about a month ago. Great content.🤑🤑🤑

    • @WesMcDowellInc
      @WesMcDowellInc  5 лет назад +6

      Hey Adrian, ads are actually created in Facebook's Ads Manager, not from the page itself. I do plan on creating a start-to-finish Facebook ad tutorial soon. As far as exit intent popups, you can either have your developer create one from scratch, or if you're on wordpress, here's a list of 20 good plugins you can quickly and easily add yourself: wpbuffs.com/exit-intent-popup-plugins-for-wordpress/

      The Deep End that is true. If your custom audience is too small, you’ll pay a fortune for the clicks.

Have you ever come across - Cayehimmid Eminent Convenience - (search on google ) ? It is a smashing one off product for discovering how to use email marketing to make money from home minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got great results with it.

    This is more my speed. At our agency, we just do things that we personally would like to see first when introduced to a brand...not go for a hard sell on a download or action first.
    I like this style because it is content rich up front. Gets people in if they are interested before pushing for a conversion with your brand. Reminds me of what Amanda Bond promotes!

    Great explanation! People always talk about targeting warm leads but they rarely talk about acquiring cold ones! Question, is the offer in the second step a paid offer or more of free lead magnet? Or does that depend on the audience and product/service being offered? If paid, in your experience, at what price point would you defer the sale to continue building trust i.e. at what price point would you give something for free instead to get them into your list

    For that second retargeting ad. That’s a conversion ad right? For a Shopify e-commerce page, should we lead them to our store page where they get to pick and choose the products (in our case it’s food) or do we bring them to a landing page where we try to convert with 1 item (to limit the options available)?

    Thanks for the content ma!! Question, I’ve heard that when starting a campaign the objective should be closest to what your goal is. As for me it’s leads.. I’m working with a dental client on a free trial and deciding if I should go straight conversion for leads or view content vs straight traffic since I gotta show results right away on this trial. There’s been a huge debate on pixel seasoning as it not existing. Thoughts and Advice would be great!

    • @WesMcDowellInc
      @WesMcDowellInc  5 лет назад +2

      Yea, for hte leads objective, I believe that only works with an actual LEAD ad... if it goes to an opt-in page, you'd ideally want conversions, as long as you get 50+ of them a week. Any less and FB's algorithm can't really learn much to improve results.

    very useful video! for step 1, would an instant experience ad instead of ad to my blog get more clicks? (same content on FB instant experience as my blog). I'm thinking FB doesn't want people to get off FB and so is motivated to show the ad to an instant exp more than an ad to my blog. i could then retarget those people who clicked my instant exp ad.... Or should i just stick to setting ads to my blog? ty v much!

  • @sebastianshine4262
    @sebastianshine4262 4 года назад

    Hey man, just found your channel yesterday and I gotta say the content is very appealing. Absolutely valuable.
    I still got critics/feedback on one thing I wish your channel had:
    More actual step-by-step Visuals (of actually showing what you are talking about).
    Don't get me wrong, your videos are valuable. The problem is, for a guy like me who is bench-watching youtube because his life situation got suddenly more stressful (which will likely appeal to a lot of your target audience), there is a LOT of input from information in general.
    I mean. People who teached their goal of financial independence may have some kind of regular scheduled day. But a hungry guy who just wants to change his situation no matter what, he is about to consume information everywhere. Read books, watch videos, go through courses, try out stuff, learn from mistakes etc etc. All that, while going to a 9to5 and/or other personal stuff where you get input.
    Following stuff and remembering it is absolutely way easier when you see it visually done in front of you. Like. Not only a few snippets here and there.
    I mean actually done in front of you.
    For example I watched your FB ads video with the quiz. Which was absolute gold. But I didn't really see the program in use. There was no going-through process of the quiz and making your own one within however long that might take. I would have definitely stayed. I mean if I already watch a 10min video about something valuable (which you make sure is in every one of your touch points as far as I can tell), then it is also worth making the videos more tutorial-like with step by step showing the process of setting it up. I believe that would skyrocket your channel growth.
    It's just hard to comprehend the value of the idea if the viewer has got to make it up in his own mind.
    Kinda like a video or image-ad is way more likely to convert than just a generic word. Not that people are lazy. It just gives them an idea way faster if it is something for them or not. Which Ultimately results in more watch time on your channel. And more value for the audience.
    Don't want to be rude or something. I am grateful that I found you. And you seem like an honest guy who cares for the audience and as charismatic as to make me think that it would be worth my time to write such a long comment, cause he at least would give it a thought.
    So hope that helps you provide even more value for us :D
    Peace

    Awesome man!! So if you consider using traffic ad objective first when does a lead conversion campaign start? Or does it ever if this route is doing well..

      If you're getting enough conversions (50+/week) then you can use that as the objective. But I find with smaller budgets and a retargeting audience, its hard to rack up those kind of numbers, that's why I say traffic in that case.

    Hey Wes! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos. Thank you for the great content. The question I have is that on top of the funnel, if you run traffic objective, wouldn’t Facebook find the type of users that visit a lot of websites but rarely purchase from ads? I know Facebook’s algorithm is really good at putting users into different buckets. And we run traffic first and conversion later, wouldn’t that lower conversion rate at a lower funnel because those people you put in the funnel are unlikely to actually buy?

      I would try for engagement vs traffic-- that increases the chances of people interested in the ad or what you're offering :)

    Hey mate, that looks great, just one question, I'm Into the dancing event industry so my final goal is selling the ticket. Would you use a unique funnel from warming up the audience to the ticketing selling or you would recommend to breakdown the main goal to 2/3 sub goals and use one funnel per each subgoal? For example I used to drive the audience to subscribe to receive my newsletter the,nof course, I send newsletter to convert the lead to a selling, now would you use one funnel to warm map, remarketing and drive the people to subscribe and then another funnel do drive the subscribers to the selling or else you will use only one funnel for all?Cheers

    Hi Wes, currently working on implementing this strategy. Quick question, why do you run the second ad with the traffic objective and not conversion?

      @WesMcDowellInc  5 лет назад +4

      Just a matter of what's realistic... Most small businesses have smaller sized budgets, and when you're running a retargeting ad, it's a smaller audience. In order to optimize for conversions, you need 50+ conversions per week for the algorithm to do its job. If you can get that, do conversions. If not, you need to "back out" a step and just go for the next best action (traffic). Make sense?

    Excellent video, but I didn't understand the last stop very well. Would that add show up in between messages on Messenger? Because you make it sounds like it's directly sent to the user's inbox
