Return everything that doesn't have a legitimate provenance of purchase from a non-stolen non-spoils-of-war source. As common law around the world should be. Knowingly obtaining stolen goods is generally illegal and comes with a hefty prison sentence. More so should be with one of a kind artefacts like those at the British Museum, the Smithsonian, Paris' Quai Branly museum, the Museum of Mankind, The Horniman, although the latter of these are all in the process of catalogueing and researching provenance of each item and eventually returning the stolen goods. Almost all of them were stolen from China except perhaps some in the royal family that were given as gifts to Queen Victoria by Qing dynasty.
