heading out the door right now to do some fly fishing on the Little River in Tn. LFG you are the man... Lifes short and you sure know how to enjoy. Kudos for taking Backwaters with you and treating him so nice. We need more of these fly fishing vids for sure. Sure would love to see you do a vid on how to locate these white bass on a big lake.
Junkyard129 can you shout me out plz maybe I can get some subscribers I have 130 tryna get to 1000. If you don’t then it’s ok but if you do it’ll be greatly appreciated and I’ll shout you out
4:39. “The wind are starting to clam down”. I hate when it wind are blowing lol. Had to poke at ya a little bud. As usual another awesome video. Keep up the good work and tight lines my friend!
I think your only the 3rd googan I’ve seen fly fishing, keep going with more of these videos please, maybe even have a fly fishing for bass competition, I fly fish for brown trout, pike and perch in Scotland on lochs and rivers and it’s fantastic, more videos please LFG, you guys have done well getting your own products and are so lucky to do what you guys do for a living, a massive thumbs up to you guys
Watching your videos is like therapy now cause I just finished up basic training in Lackland and I'm stuck here on base for another 2 months for tech school. Would love to get some line in the water but it may be a while so these videos are helping the itch to fish
I'm so glad you made a video on this in an angler from Colorado and fly fishing is something I've always wanted to learn just never really knew where to start! Thanks! I haven't even watched the video but I hope it helps me out
Woo-hoo, how much fun that is! Nice to see Justin catching white bass on my style of fishing! Awesome! Thanks Backwaters...you need to get him hooked! LOL
I was trying to trout fish here in MO flooding ruined that. Went to a local reservoir and luckily the white bass hacth happened right on the bank. Never been happier to leave trout fishing so early in the day. Nice video!
Hey Justin just FYI I lived in Colorado and wyoming for over 17yrs and crushed trout on a spinning rod set up and mepps #2 spinners no skirt with a silver or gold blade no need for a fly rod. I tried the fly rod thing but just really did not enjoy fishing that way. spinning reel 7ft med fast rod and some mepps or rooster tail spinners will crush them! I will be moving back there in a couple years and can't wait to get back!
I think I've tried fly fishing twice and it was a total clusterduck and I said I wouldn't fly fish again and it's been over 20 yrs since I've touched a fly rod, give me a spinning rod and I can catch anything from bluegill to redfish to flounder which is easy here in Louisiana but my uncle's brother was catching redfish on a fly rod which was interesting especially when he hooked into a 35" bull red. I would love to fish in Colorado bc every pic or video I've seen about lakes and rivers there are crystal clear
Man, that is so awesome. Fly fishing is my fav fishing there is. I havent done it in years so I know I suck but when I first started out I would get me aluminum trash can lid and stick it out in my yard and practice throwing my fly and hitting the trash can lid. Its so fun.
I lived in Colorado for 9 years, I just left and moved to North Carolina, the Hopper game is strong right now in Colorado, a big grasshopper, hit the banks with grass on them and let the current sweep your hopper/fly into the water and hold on tight. Big mamas live in holes right by the bank and look for an easy meal. Hope this helps you man
LFG ...Man its great seeing you enjoy fly fishing. But you need to hit them monster bluegill on popping bugs for some top water explosive action. Floating fly line and tapered mono leaders that float. You can fill the box with crispies. Enjoy cause its a blast
The doves looked delicious, what a great challenge. Looking forward to you going elk hunting and trout fish, tell the lovingly wife congrats on the poppers.
Trout in the rocky mountain states are not very particular in general, some waterways are known for tough trout, but most creeks are fairly easy to catch fish out of. You can almost fish any fly you want within reason and have some level of success.
When I was recently in Colorado I didn't have a fly rod and it was a little entertaining. I ended up next to guys rigged up like some hard core fly fishing pro and I had a tiny bobber and about 1/2 inch of worm and was killing them while the fly guys were working hard for no bites.
I have always associated a fly rod with a retired old man Thank you for sharing this video. I have my dad's old fly rod and will Definitely take it out and give it a try. 😃
Tried fly fishing for the first time in Colorado with hardly any idea of what I was doing. I was absolutely HOOKED after i caught my first trout. Hands down favorite fishing moment ever.
Also Fly fishing is awesome but lately in Colorado especially the reservoirs, I have just been casting a little spoon that looks like a baby trout. Trust me it works wonders.
It is really fun! I got into it this past spring and fell in love. There isnt a trip I dont bring my fly rod with me. I dont always use it, but it's there just in case. If you get a chance to try it, do it.
bro Love your fly fishing videos! Keep your rod pointed at your fly and the rod tip on the surface of the water. You want to no slack in your line. Also strip set then lift the rod. Lastly strip below your two fingers.
I was fishing for red fish and speckled trout with spinning gear and pulled out my 9' fly rod. Heard guys on 2 other boats in the area laughing, here I am on a 24' T-top bay boat with a fly rod. But after they watched me boat about 6 to 1 of their fish, the joking around seemed to stop and they soon left the area while I was still boating fish. I bet someone decided to learn how to use a fly rod after that day. Done the same thing years ago when I bass fished, a 3-5 lb large mouth is a blast on a fly rod.
Hey go to the tarryall reservoir in Colorado. I go fishing there all the time for rainbow trout. They have some big old trout there. I normally use flies or use a spinner.
You should check out Fishing Bear Lodge in Bristol Bay, Alaska. I have been guiding here for the past few years now and it would be a perfect place for LFG. 40+ inch pike and massive trout on dry flies with unlimited amounts of 18 inch grayling!!!
Browns should be spawning mid October into November with the water being up here in Colorado. Big browns will push up from the lakes into the rivers. Good luck 👍
Depends when you’re going where you’re going Elk hair caddis small copper johns and other nymphs are always hitting. But if it’s soon you might still be in hopper season. Have them hitting top on a hopper or caddis is the best
EP fiber is sold by Enrico Puglisi. Good stuff. You can also buy a very similar fiber from Fly Tier's Dungeon called Congo Hair. I kill stripers on both here in So. Cal.
Need to buy you a nice fly rod man. I bass fish and saltwater fish down here in southwest Louisiana with it and it's a blast. Biggest bass on fly for me is a 5 lber
Had a guy in MN fly fishing for carp he tied a fly right at the pond to look like a piece of bread floating on top of the water and he hammered them with that it was pretty cool
So, when are we gonna see the Googan flies? Backwater needs his own baits.
Backwater Bug... Backwater Blaster... I could go on.
It could be a wooly bugger
Oh hey the back water buck tail
We need more Backwater! Dude is money.
Backwater is dialed, we're gonna need some more features from him.
More of these.
More LFG and BWB.
More fishing with the fly rod.
That is all.
End public comment.

Who else wiped their screen 37 times while watching this?
So much fun getting into a pile of white bass. Fished 40 years conventional, now fishing on the fly and will never go back.
I was trying to trout fish here in MO flooding ruined that. Went to a local reservoir and luckily the white bass hacth happened right on the bank. Never been happier to leave trout fishing so early in the day. Nice video!
This was epic! Backwater getting the job done. Much respect guys.

Ever sense I watched the movie A River Runs Through it I have been fascinated by fly fishing. Such an art.💕🦟🦙lucky you.
Get a rod. I waited years myself. My sister asked me what I wanted for Christmas 20 years later still fly fishing!

LFG ...Man its great seeing you enjoy fly fishing. But you need to hit them monster bluegill on popping bugs for some top water explosive action. Floating fly line and tapered mono leaders that float. You can fill the box with crispies. Enjoy cause its a blast
Backwater is smooth as silk with that fly rod!
The doves looked delicious, what a great challenge. Looking forward to you going elk hunting and trout fish, tell the lovingly wife congrats on the poppers.
Keep Fly Fishing, Never Stop!
I like the way that the rod feels like I haven't caught it yet. Nothing so far to dislike about the pole.
I'm just getting into fly fishing so senior black water should definitely get more features with yalll
Never saw fly fishing before. Very cool!
Whites on the Fly, super cool!

You need to make a trip to Belize for bonefish on the fly. That would make a great video.
bro Love your fly fishing videos! Keep your rod pointed at your fly and the rod tip on the surface of the water. You want to no slack in your line. Also strip set then lift the rod. Lastly strip below your two fingers.
This was great can’t wait to see the upcoming elk hunting and hopefully with some fly fishing too!

That was an orvis recon in probably and 7 or 8wt with an Orvis hydros feel or proper size

Should give the Guadalupe River a shot. Pretty good fishing for trout considering its Texas and it's not a strictly put and take fishery.
