    I know this is controversial but there has been some bad coaching over this topic so I thought I’d give my 2 cents on the topic

    Great tips! I push the club straight back with my shoulders pivoting together. I can feel the club head staying square to the ball on the backswing and downswing. I keep 70% of my weight on my front side from start to contact, gives me shaft lean and solid contact. Hands down and in front with a little turn as you said, you don't need a big turn. Great tips!

    My guy Giles I was trying to comprehend this today at the range. Thank you for this video, you articulated what I couldn't and granted me a much greater understanding of the small breakthroughs I was having today.

    Giles. Looking for your advice on how to shape shots, ie draw/fade, the GilesGill way!

    Awesome stuff! I tried relaxing the arms and not forcing the swing while letting the momentum whip the club through. I got about 90% of my distance with almost no effort! Just crazy! More importantly, the strike was awesome. No more toe shots or early extension. However, as soon as I try to add a little more “effort,” I start to early extend, come over the top a bit, and hit off the toe. So how do I increase the effort while not losing my swing?

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  2 месяца назад +1

      It’s by recognising where your effort should be put. It’s not put into turning harder from the top. It’s about using your feet & arms correctly

      @@Gilesgillgolf That makes sense. I will try to focus less on turning hard from the top and more on using the lower body.

    Giles, I keep seeing videos that say start your backswing with your body. I continue to start with my arms, etc. Got a video in the works that can help with a trigger move to start the swing with your body?

    This isn't a knock against you per se, but I can see why Tiger says stop watching RUclips lol. You can watch 20 videos from professional teachers and they can all say something completely different about the same thing. It's honestly crazy.

      I completely agree and I watch a lot of content and it’s frankly completely wrong. My advice is find one or two accounts with consistent messages like myself & just focus on them

      Agreed with Giles. I did the RUclips rabbit hole for awhile and made my swing worse trying to teach myself stack & tilt.
      Then, I focused just on his videos and 1 other and take lessons from him and it’s come a long way. Swing looks much better and scores are improving.
