just bought the corsair with in game cash today. i'm also falling in love with it. Its funny you mention the connie, i was debating between the two for the snub fighter. anyway love your vids man, keep it up!
I think now that they toned down loot from PVE bounties, they didn't just nerf the profitability, but they also shifted the balance more towards killing, making ships with huge DPS but smaller cargo holds like the Corsair the perfect balance for this type of mission.
I’m always torn between the Constellation Taurus/Andromeda and the Corsair myself. I figured the main issue for me is the very bad landing gear of the Corsair (too low) and the lesser fidelity of the Constellations. For the rest they are both great. After Master Modes is introduced the Constellations will have the same four S5 hardpoints, so that difference will be less. But as it is atm, their damage output is still enough. And to me the Constellations do fly a tiny bit better. On the other hand, the Corsair has much more Quantum range, which will be very convenient in the future for systems like Pyro. Currently I don’t have either of them pledged and instead have the 600i Explorer (with 120 month insurance) for ERT work. Just on the off chance that when Invictus comes we’ll get the rework for the 600i, which might come at a price increase. That rework will likely be worth it to me. To be fair, I don’t expect CIG to have done the rework yet, but you’ll never know. When Engineering comes into play things between the Corsair and Constellations might change as well. Let’s hope they will remain viable solo ships. Cheers man o7
If I hadn't already subbed beforehand I would've subbed when that Mass Effect OST hit....damn, the feels 😢 I bought the Corsair and I'll have some great weeks laying ahead of me ...Imma test this thing so badly, throw on some music (like Mass Effect OST) and explore the heck out of every site in SC, capturing epic screenshots
Corsair is my pride and joy. I use it for pve a ton. Can't wait for armor to come online. I will be using this ship the most when Pyro comes online. I own 3 ships currently being the Corsair, C1, and Hornet Ghost. I need to get a pisces soon in the future to have a decent versatile small fleet.
My favourite build is 4x S5 laser cannons (4x36 shots will blow a HH), as it lets me take out Hammerheads at 2.7km, so I chain 200k high threat beacons without rearming. For the smaller NPC ships I use 32 s1 missiles (Arrow 1s gives you more DPS than rattler 2) and 2x s3 gimballed repeaters. Sunday I was helping with Overdrive bunkers. Jumped between CRU - ARC, ARC - MIC - ARC - MIC - HUR, using a XL-1 drive, without refuelling, then home to Cru and did a couple of combat beacons.

I like mixing a x1 Military Grade A and x1 Industrial Grade A componnent, especially coolers. I cant wait to see what the future brings us. Id like to be able to change the Batteries & Life Support, radar & gravity support, computer componnents as well on my ships.
With either a Corsair, Constellation, C2 or 600i you can do most content in the game. The Corsair excels at DPS, but the other ships have other strengths such as better durability or better cargo. It's up to personal preference. The Corsair is too fragile for me (it constantly loses weapons, wings or thrusters), but I guess if you gear for ballistic DPS like you did you won't take much return fire before the target pops.
My Corsairs are my babies, I run one with wenergy weapons I lend to folk so they understand what they need to experience, and a ballisitc one to kill ERTs. Rattlers are available at Seraphim.
I look @Area18 Dumpers depot for Weapon AD5B and it show now ammo is 1800. In your video i see 2600. So looks like CIG have nerfed the ammo amount .. ?
@@infinitespace239 Can you explain please a little bit, what this overheatings means ? Fore example before 500 shots and now 300 shots with AD5B ? Do you still recommend the AD5B ? Thanks !
Agreed. It's odd, but I consider the Corsair my favorite ship as well, and I own some very nice ones. It has a certain je ne sais quoi - a broadside from my Corsair will destroy most ships; she's fast and nimble, enough; she's perfect for my ROC and Had mining; and she's just fun to fly.

I really like the Corsair too, it's the ship I fly the most. I sometimes get tired of how it handles, especially in atmo, but I always come back.

The Corsair made me a Drake fan using it for ERTs. I've now CCU'd since i pretty much daily it.

TS-2 is the size 3 QT drive. Corsair can equip a XL-1 Size 2 QT dfive. And yes i love this ship as well, more than a connie.....

I have lost engines in the cutty black, and it flew fine but slow. The corsair I went into a death spiral 😅

I also like multi role ships the most, but the Corsair is just not my style so I fly Connies and the 600i.

if your trying manoeuvre quickly press K VTOL in vtol mod ship rotate quickly and if you have fly assit off you rotate more quickly
