I bought the 0S20 HSS Offest 3 years ago, and the intonation was good, tuners work, frets were level, but had sharp ends and needed polishing. The things sounds excellent and plays well. I gambled w $149.00 and won. Don't see other Monoprice guitars that interest me, however, but I have a friend who has a gorgeous Cali DLX that he did upgrades to, and he gigs with it. I am a budget guitar guy, and I have had succes w all the Firefly and IYV guitars I have purchased.
    Great video.

I bought the Indio OS-30 offset and I absolutely love it. Perfect? Nah. But very minor flaws. Incredibly good guitar for the low price I paid.

Glad to hear that. I'm sure I just had some bad luck. The guitar looked beautiful. I was so disappointed with the troubles. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate you! 🤘👍

I just got through a bad experience with monoprice. They sent me a guitar that looked totally different than what I ordered. Went back and forth for 3wks. Nothing but BS and aggravation and they wanted me to pay for the return Imagine that, they screw-up and I am supposed to pay. Customer service is the worst. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear you had issues with your Indio OS40. It's a beautiful looking guitar though and sounds good to me. I own an Indio OS20 that I'm happy with and recently picked up an Indio OS30 for a friend that I have yet to give them. It's always disappointing when a new guitar has problems, hope the return is easy. Keep the videos coming! Take care.

Thanks for your comment! So far the return has stalled. They haven't sent the FedEx return box yet and it looks like they're charging me $35. Yikes. I hope I'm wrong. I appreciate you watching!

@@sealedgravy3702This was a Monoprice purchase. They had a $35 fee for the return. They still have sent the return box. I'll be contacting them today. 🤷‍♂️

@@MotorRoseMusic Oh, my bad----I've ordered a couple of my Indios directly from Monoprice myself, but haven't sent anything back as of yet---I didn't know they charged for returns. Hope they were able to help you and waive the fee.

Oh, no worries. Amazon does sell Indio, and if I was smart I would've bought from them. Oh, well.

You must live close by, the box looked like new. When I get them, they are beaten to a pulp with breaks and holes. I'm expecting my OS40 any day now keeping my fingers crossed, love my OS30. Sorry to see the problem with yours, I'm getting the natural finish, the site says Alder body, but now I'm a little worried, if it's composite that would be a big problem. Would imagine a neck screwed on to a composite body would not be a stable joint with all the string tension.

Still up in the air about getting this one. Your review shows it is crap but some of the comments show people have had good luck with it.
Does the bar knock it out of tune easily?

@@mooreoutdoor9841 No, that wasn't an issue, but it's really hard to tell for sure because of the nut and neck issues.

    nice one brother!
i wonder if these are the same pups in the os30....i have the os30 model and love it!
however i found a slight design flaw i covered in a recent film...havent posted yet but ill let you in on the flaw...
theres a "overhang/lip" on the fingerboard that will prevent you from removing the scratchplate without either removing the neck pup or even the neck...
the factory pups sound sweet but should a pot/switch or even the jack go bad on ya....there will be some issues removing the p/g to fix anything under it...
but the sounds the os30 makes is great! and it can surf too!
i have an idea that will remedy the "overhang" issue....ill experiment on one of my os30s....yup...got a offwhite model to "fix" if i can find someone with a stationary beltsander...
eliminate most of the lip and steer clear of the 22nd fret lol!

Hey! Thanks for watching and commenting. I did have a hell of a time getting the pickguard off too. I had to take the pup off as well. I almost snapped the pickguard in two. 😀 I wanted to like this guitar, but couldn't.

My favorite guitar is the older retro classic ($89 on sale) string thru that I modded the shit out of, and even the cheapest Wilkinson 15/1 (had kicking around) tuners make a difference over those stock tuners. Look close and you'll see not as many nylon bushings on those tuner pegs vs legitimate tuners.
The basswood is soft - dents more easily over alder ect.

Do you have a Jaguar or Jazzmaster to compare it to? I am wondering if the pickguard from a Jaguar would line up since the bodies are apparently identical
