    as someone from Lithuania, I remember waking up to watch this game at 3 or 4 o'clock at night and I was not disappointed. I was 12, and that was the NBA I fell in love with. I also remember doing that for 2 more years and being disappointed and I have never watched all-star game live ever since, today's all-star game is a joke.

      greetings guys. :D after returning to this video, thanks to your comments, I also realized, that nowadays, they would've not tried to go to 2nd overtime and let this end after MJ hitting a game-winning shot. Or probably they would've allowed him to score 60+, so that he gets the MVP, or something like that. Back then, they wanted to give a show, but they wanted to win above all. And though I was sad that MJ didn't get to have a game-winning shot at this ASG, but it also seemed logical they did what they can to win. :) In my opinion, it was LBJ and his generation, who started seeing basketball as a business and not a game, and that everyone are friends and that the competition starts only in the playoffs.

      People talk bout the 90s cause only the bulls won and even when the bulls didn’t make one team won the other 2 pretty weak era if u asked me Hakeem won the ring with role players that’s how weak the 90s was maxwell shot 36 percent avg 13 points and he was the second best player on a championship team now that’s laughable the 80s was way better for the most part Hakeem couldn’t make it pass the first round mike was getting swept but some young fella that was born in 79 or 80 that only seen mike dominate the nba tells me that was the best era child go sit down listen to ur elders

    At age 40 Jordan was still incredible. And Shaq was just ridiculous. Once he decided he was getting to the basket you could just forget about stopping him. When he dunked it you just had to laugh at how ridiculously powerful the dunks were and how unstoppable he was. Great video.

      If I had to choose one of them to have on my team, in TODAY’s game…. I’d rather have Lebron on my team. Whether he takes the shot or not, most likely Lebron will be involved in that last shot. He’s a better passer, and rebounder than Jordan ever was.

    Funny bron was drafted in the league in 2003.. he played in the 2004-2005 Allstar game. Just think we could of had james , Jordan and Kobe In the same game !! If he was just one year back .
