I will NEVER forget this game it was my senior year of high school I taped this on VHS Jermaine O'Neal pissed me off with that foul on Kobe but I honestly think Kobe missed a free throw on purpose for Mike 2 of the top 5 greatest of ALL TIME 💪💯
Mr Q Ceaz Bro there’s no way Kobe missed that on purpose. That’s not in Kobe’s DNA to do that. Because he knows Mike wouldn’t want him to do that anyway and vice a versa as well.
Mr Q Ceaz Why do you think him missing a free-throw to take it to another overtime only to beat him anyway would benefit Mike? He missed another free-throw earlier in the game. We’ll never know for sure but I think because he wouldn’t want someone to do that for him I don’t think he would do that for Mike. I agree with you about them both being in the top five. I think it’s crazy when people leave Kobe out of their top 10. I could see leaving him out of the top five based on careers, I guess... but if you’re just talking skilled basketball players I think you could argue Kobe is the second greatest player to ever live

I love you Kobe Bryant the teacher teaching the student and Kobe learned from the greatest Michael Jordan #RIPKobe🙏🏿
back when the all star game was competitive
I’m over here excited watching this game like it was today 😂😂 💯 That was a vibe
Two of the greatest to ever play the game they perfected the game of basketball. 💪🏽
The greatest shooting guard ever in LA Lakers franchise ever #KobeBryant🏀🕊️ and the second greatest shooting guard ever behind Michael Jordan #NBAHistory
Kobe the greatest scorer from all guards and forwards (not centers) ever
@@ishmlaldevontrious7914 You could say kobe was the better shooter and had better handles than jordan, but jordan definitely was a better finisher and probably a better defender
@@Day-le1ov defender?? Imma put a hard no on that way. Kobe was the better defender.
MJ is the GOAT. Its just that simple.

Watching this. This this truly an all star game... not just popularity votes..loves the 90’s..👍❤️🏀
At 10:18 you can tell by the look MJ gives that he knows Kobe missed intentionally..much respect Kobe for the show of respect to your mentor.. RIP Kobe
@21...
HUH...LMAO
No he didn’t
no ....he was like oh shit we were about to win and now the game is extended
@@dc4690 these people just create their own storyline
Hell no. That’s not what that look was at all.
I'll always remember Jermaine O' Neal's idiotic foul--it ruined a perfect ending for Jordan's last great game.
Could of gone either way. Had he not fouled Kobe could've made that 3 and sealed the deal early on.
@@B1Kobe0824 I suppose, but no coach would suggest fouling a jumpshooter on an off-balance three, especially a decent free throw shooter.
Jermaine "0" Neal...
Yea had he not contested it woulda been over with a kobe 3...
@@manny77min Off balance 3 going out of bounds is probably under 20%; or go to the line as a 80+ percent foul shooter. No coach on earth would suggest a foul. A contest, sure. But not a foul. It's a mantra of NBA coaches, especially with an expiring clock: Never foul a jumpshoter.
We all die, legends live forever
"Its that competitive spirit that really seperates himself"
Everyone going half ass because who cares its the all star game.
Kobe cares.
jordan passing of crown to kobe
it's a blessing to see both legends (mike and kobe) on the same court
greatest all-star game memory ever
2003 was an epic Allstar game but the 1992 Allstar game is up there too.
Afro Centauri the late 80s had some great ones too, I’d say 1985-1995 was probably the best 10-year stretch

When magic came back and hit the game winner 3 hell yeah
YES!! Both Jordan and Magics last Allstar games are two of my favorite.
When Kobe was playing I enjoyed watching this.
When Kobe retired I enjoyed watching this even more.
When Kobe died I enjoy watching this EVEN MORE.

RIP KOBE, been watching you since I became a fan of the NBA in 2005. Thank you for all the memories
💜💛
I am became a fan 1997 age 11
They played more Defense in this game then I have seen in real games this whole season SERIOUSLY!
I remember this like yesterday, for most of the game it was usual all starts business, but both teams turned it up in the 4th. I don't remember seeing many blocks at all stars. Save for shoving and elbowing in the paint, everything else felt like a real game. West had Shawn Marion guarding MJ for real. One of the few gems out of the all star games
it’s so obvious that kobe missed those free throws to put it in overtime to play more even if it’s just a lil bit against his rival jordan 10:19 jordan knew what kobe was doing lmao
Exactly. I saw that too
I think so too because kobe looked too loose in those freethrows which always he makes a serious face.

Two legends, forever!! 💯🏀🏆🏆
This was the kind of NBA basketball I grew up watching! Miss seeing all these all-stars. Seeing the competitiveness even thought it was “Just” an All-Star game. These players actually giving it there best and showing their love for the game. Now a days we don’t see that competitiveness and drive in these players. Everything is all for show and all about business. What makes this hurt even more is Kobe leaving us outta no where. #RIPKobe #BackWhenNBAWasReal
True indeed competitive the all star jerseys were on point classic
I swear Kobe missed both free throws on purpose to extend the game and not end a game so boringly on the line... I like to think he did it on purpose
fafaffu2 balsy to miss first then make to tie

@@sbrara Kobe's ballsy loool
He missed ONE free throw. And he barely missed that one. It wasn't on purpose
He did do it on purpose
Kobe missed those free throws to continue playing against MJ and giving the fans memories.. wow that line yo of players was sick
I will NEVER forget this game it was my senior year of high school I taped this on VHS Jermaine O'Neal pissed me off with that foul on Kobe but I honestly think Kobe missed a free throw on purpose for Mike 2 of the top 5 greatest of ALL TIME 💪💯
These two are true competitors, they left it all on the floor, no mercy. Kobe is not taking his foot off the gas for MJ in front of a camera...period
Mr Q Ceaz Bro there’s no way Kobe missed that on purpose. That’s not in Kobe’s DNA to do that. Because he knows Mike wouldn’t want him to do that anyway and vice a versa as well.
@@j-r-m7775 I always thought that too but it's hard to tell tho
100% sure he missed on purpose, Kobe knew this was MJ last all star game and one of the last time he would play against him....why Kobe didn't sign with Jordan brand, thats the reel question???
Still hurts seeing this. Can’t believe he’s gone
Thank you Kobe for giving us the real meaning of "Greatness".

@ 8:38 Isiah Thomas comes out to celebrate and actually touched Michael..... The cold death stare that Mike gave to him sent chills through my spine....... WOW!!!!! The GOAT never forgives or forgets.

Kobe mastered the Jordan style while becoming an all-timer and unique in his own way. It’s awesome and gut-wrenching at the same time to hear Jordan talking aboht his relationship with Kobe post rip.
Jermaine O'Neal is remembered for 2 things: ruining MJ's last All Star game, and beating the sh*t out of that random fan that one time.
