Hi, this is the best instructional video, I just installed some maps onto my garmin using a mac will be using it for kayaking, hiking and Hunting Thank you- Thank you
By far the best GPS Map video and tutorial I've found. Very much appreciated. I was looking for a way to get off-road trails onto the Garmin and this works perfectly. I do ADV motorcycle riding and this makes the gps so much more functional. While this doesn't use the openstreets from a download perspective, knowing about it allows me to contribute to the trail mapping if I find myself on trails that aren't currently mapped. Question though, I've noticed that no matter how many of these images I load the GPS can only find one of them, is this a known limitation?
Thanks. I’m going to try this rn. Going on a hike tmmrw and your video was the most simple and very explanatory one. I’ll let you know how it goes after I download the map.
Tried this out yesterday. Works great with a few caveats. Too many polygon points from trying to shape the map? It won't generate so keep it simple. The only other issue seemed to be trying to capture too large of an area causing it to lose details. Thanks for making this nicely done and informative video.
I only found you on the bike site after I had done the job..but still a great video. One question that if you fancied making a new video...an explanation of the different Download Formats. The help section is not so great in telling you the differences.. just thought Cheers Neil
