- How I installed the Garmin Livescope/Panoptix system on my Bass Tracker Heritage. Installation of pole mount for the system is also included in this video at the end.
Thank you! This is the only install video that goes throught the connections to the head unit!
Your wire management is impeccable. Mine always looks worse than what Tracker did under the dash.
You are kidding right?
I like the pole mount setup and stow. Im gearing up for the Dewalt battery setup for power to both 93SV and livescope
Awesome job
Thanks for the video!
Pole mount is the best if you use the anchor mode or spot lock a lot.
Super job!
The battery being next to the black box in my compartment shouldn’t be a problem you think? I don’t know if it’ll have interference problems. Thanks ahead!
@@LarsonFishing no you won’t have an issue. A lot of folks have portable units with battery and box mounted together.
@@MarkBlackstock thanks a bunch. Where all did you clip on the Ferrite clamps? And on what ends. Like the in depth video, Subscribed!
@@LarsonFishing I clipped them on below the fish finder mount. Honestly I didn’t notice a difference in screen resolution with or without them.
Did you ever figure out a battery solution? I have a classic xl and I’m about to install a 93sv at the console and another 93sv at the bow. If I decided to the livescope I think I’d definitely need a third battery like you’ve suggested here. Curious to see how yours is doing with running it on the stock cranking battery.
I have decided to sell the Heritage before I could fulfill this idea. I would recommend going lithium at least 36ah. It really depends on usage but 36ah and up should get you where you need to be. I’ll be exploring this option on my new boat.
How did you connect the network cable to the black box. My cable is only about 8’. From my black box to my head unit is around 10’ or more
Extra network cable required. To go from front to back unit. They sell them in 6’ and 20’ sixes.
What battery are you currently using for livescope on the new boat?
Hey Mark, what gauge wire did you run to the battery and where did you get yours from?
8ga marine s.o. Cord I’ve had for awhile I think I got it at Home Depot in Arizona
@@MarkBlackstock thank you sir!
@@MarkBlackstock do you think a cut off switch is needed for livescope when not in use? Heard it draws down the battery when not in use.
@@xunciviilizedx Might be a good idea, when I figure out what battery situation I am going with I will probably toss one in.
Do you have to hook power to 9 inch screan
All finders are powered
I have a live scope with a 9 inch Garmin combo I hooked. The s 10 up and I asked some one if Garmin need hooked up they said no
So it needs power like my 7 inch hummingbird
@@MarkBlackstock l
@@tonyparsley641 I assume so, I had a 7" hummingbird and it required power
U use a different battery for bla k box I was told to not use the cranking battery be abuse it will drain I n a few hrs
I use a separate battery now. Initially I installed using cranking battery and it performed flawlessly
Do a video now and do a video later to see how you like it🤓ok Mark. Thanks
