I'm pleasantly surprised that they actually gave the correct advice for stab wounds around 27 minutes, it's nice to see the attention to detail from the developer(s)!
Same, I was so tickled by that! It has driven me crazy for ages how EVERY movie and tv show is like WE'VE GOTTA GET THE BULLET OUT!!! Or they just yank the knife out at the earliest opportunity... like, really? Sigh. That's not only bad filmmaking, it's also liable to get people killed in the real world.
you can't tell me this game doesn't have the best voice acting after seeing 6:26 I have never seen a game where a character had a sudden realization mid sentence like that before
Everyone was so quick to think it was Marie who jumped at the end, but my immediate thought was that she was the one who was caught, and it was the son who they chased up to Whistling Point. That's why you don't hear anything from the suspect as they chase him, because he doesn't speak at all. Obviously, he'll survive, and then we'll get a sequel where he saves his mother from captivity and the killings begin again.
I would agree, but the son was in the radio station, and they said they had him in custody on the chatter. He may break out for the sequel but I’m sure it’s Marie who jumped.
Like the other fella said, I feel the son was caught. If they trailed the suspect into the NEARBY woods, that rules out the radio tower, given it's basically in the middle of town.
@@thermospice6617 @Dragex I think you both need to watch the ending again. They never specify who they caught, they just say "One suspect is in custody", and again, when they corner the other on the hill they only say the word "suspect". Let's put things into perspective here. Marie spent the whole damn game talking up a storm. If it was her that jumped surely you woulda heard her shit talking the cops saying she won't let them stop her or swearing her revenge before she jumped. Also, what do you think is a more realistic scenario? A well-built, athletic adult male outrunning the police or a late 30's something at best plain Jane woman? My money is on the man even if he isn't athletic.
All the horror Easter Eggs in this game is really neat. Haddonfield Road - Haddonfield is the town where Halloween (the movie) takes place. Craven Drive - Wes Craven who was the director of several 80's horror movies. The show being called The SCREAM and it being about a masked serial killer... They really padded this game with loads of little nods to other horror related things.
Pretty much the whole map is references, it's so great! :) Romero Street, Macready (MC of The Thing by John Carpenter), Nancy Drive (as in the main character of Nightmare on Elm Street), and Peele Street; Jordan Peele (Get Out, US, Nope.) Those are only a few I noticed, and I'm sure there are even more references that I didn't even catch! Chalupacabras is also the best possible name for a Mexican restaurant in a horror game. I was dying... I'm still not over it!😂
@@WynneL Yes! I just wanted to name a couple to show examples but yeah I was like, "I am picking this up. I wonder if Insym is?" Because we don't know if he is a horror movie watcher in his spare time. I could assume since he plays the games but we never know. Haha.
The concept, the execution, the graphics, the gameplay, this game is unbelievably good. This needs to become a series. Killer Frequency 2: Electric Boogaloo! Lmao, LFG!
Holy crap, this game was amazing! I can't remember the last time I was so invested in a game's story. I was looking forward to this video all day, and boy did the ending not disappoint!
Spoiler Warning: To answer your question about what Murphy did, he did nothing wrong, he just challenged Henry (Marie's son) to a fight at the waste disposal and Marie tells you that she taught her son never to run from a fight, if Murphy survives he tells you that he definitely fought a man at the disposal plant and moved to Gallows Creek 3 years ago so he was truly innocent
Glad you finished this game Insym, I usually like to play your vids on background while doing work cuz it's fun to listen to. But this game makes you interact on a whole another level of curiosity that just makes me couldn't look away. It's nice to see developers put "human factors" in every character including the antagonist that actually gives more logical/emotional sense to the whole event that is unfolding in the game.
This game was so cool and yet so crazy, I just find it funny as in the beginning Peggy makes Forrest scream and Insym chose, I think the falling off a cliff scream, and just like that, one of the Masked killers jumped off. Can't wait for the sequel and other endings for us to watch!
I feel like its less of a horror game and more of a narrative game with a puzzle aspect and a horror theme. Love it! Especially the great voice acting and sound design. You only hear most of the things happening but you can visually see it like an audio book. I'm looking forward to maybe see a sequel from the dev(s)!
I loved this!!! You should do a run where only certain people die, like Peggy and Teddy at the end there. I would love to know Forrests reaction to the death of his coworker. Also the guilt of encouraging a murderer to hit a victim to their death must be pretty hard (I imagine thats how Teddy would die. Just beaten to death. I imagine Peggy would've been beheaded by her sister). Or a run where all of the teens died in that house, but no other victims die. Or, an all deaths run: I would like to see Maries bond with Forrest, if he'd been unable to save anybody. And the disappointment from Leslie. OR, a run where you save all of the victims. I imagine Forrest being the second 911 operater. OR, a run in which you guess Maries location at the end there wrong. The police goes to the wrong location and Marie nor her son would've fleed. Edit: a run in which you give the worst answers possible: ultimate sarcasm. BUT I don't mean that this should kill all victims, just use as much sarcasm as possible without the victims dying
Teddy dies if you don’t figure out what location they are at, not by excessively hitting him, if you get the location wrong teddy blurts it out, violating the one rule Marie put in place during the talk
A run where everyone dies would be equally as entertaining as everyone lives. It's like trying to get a 0 on a test, you have to know all the right answers to intentionally get them all wrong.
1:06:11 the room looks suuuper cozy in this moment. the morning sky in the window, the dimmed light, peggy's muffled voice from the other room, the dust on the equipment, the blue carpet(???) covering the floor... man, i would love to stay there, just not with a murderer loose.
I really hope more people will play this game. While the start may be slow, I genuinely love how the voice actors truly brought life to all the characters from the start to finish, making it so fun to watch through this series. You can tell the voice actors really had fun voicing in this game, you gotta love a game that has so much love and care put into it 🥰
Maybe you should actually do another run of this game where you save everybody and kill teddy at the end xd I'm curious what Murphy and Virginia would have to say if they lived, and this game is definitely worth replaying! Once you know the lore you can see everything in a new light and have all the little detalis click together. It's one of these games where you really feel like that because of how well the story is crafted and woven into the game, it's so satisfying to see everything make sense with your new perspective. And the payoff is worth it, because both the plot and the lore are absolutely amazing! It feels as if Agatha Christie herself wrote it, trust me I read a fair share of her books and that's exactly how it feels - good exposition at the beggining, some slower stuff in the middle, but still being interesting and pushing the story foward, and finally an absolute avalanche of an ending, when you just can't stop reading/playing, with the plot unraveling beautifully and very fast, where all the clues and fragments of the story perfectly fit in together in an extremaly satisfying manner. It's such a rush, you get so much adrenaline! And this story feels exactly the same. Alternatively you can try a full genocide run xd (please don't do that), or maybe sone other challenge runs. Depends if you want to have more fun with this game and how much. Also, how poetic it is? That the new Whistling Man got cornered by the police on the Whistling Point and chose to jump into the river, after wich his body was never discovered. Exactly like the original Whistling Man!
It was such a good ride, from silly game about helping people through the radio in stupid situation to an actually good game with interesting plot, goals and interactions. Man I love playing games.

when I saw "name a woman" in chat my dumdum brain thought "Theodore Roosevelt"
Nikola Tesla-chan
It’s pretty obvious the killer is Marie, if you read the pamphlet about the play, she plays the character named Dawn, *wink wink*. It’s the RUclipsr curse, probably 95% of all youtubers wind up getting it, where they try to rush through games, or they just don’t read what’s blatantly obvious and overlook vital/key information for a game.
It would be interesting to see you do a pla through with all the worst answers
If I had to choose between an ex war medic or a radio worker that just finished their first aide training I would choose the war vet lol.
He's here!? Lol, honestly no bad feelings, love you
50:34 big brain!
It was a prank Hann! 😂😂😂
Ffs!!! At 7:42 in the vid RUclips decide to throw in an add for domino’s pizza 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️ lolz
1:32:39 the achievement name should be “you’ve done a pretty bad job”
why did they had to make the whistling man's model look so hot tho 😭😭
And poor Murphy experienced the hottnes first hand.
1:33:27 OH NO HIS GONNA JUMP OFF THE THING haha OH NO
I like the game so much
Not me realizing all the "It came from below" references were alluding to the killer coming from the basement.
What a great game, I am thinking about buying the game even if I decide not to play it so I can help the developers.
So excited for this one! This game's epic!
St Gabriels .. what a cool name
Isn't it ironic that Marie died the same way as the original Whistling Man, jumping off whistling point and drowning in the river.
